Description

Six of today’s most popular regency romance authors come together to deliver a holiday anthology full of passion, promise, and scandalous dalliance.

In Heather Boyd’s The Christmas Affair, a lonely shopkeeper offers shelter to a beautiful, not so innocent miss to overcome the bitter memories of Christmases past, but could such a wicked connection ever lead to a happily-ever-after? A dashing spy with marriage on his mind seeks to rekindle the spark by any means possible with the woman who claimed his heart in Love at First Dance by Barbara Monajem. A scandalous widow rescues the man of her dreams - but his secrets could destroy their love in Nicola Davidson's Joy to the Earl. A masquerade ball was no place to be reckless with your innocence, and yet one scorching look at the masked highwayman urges Miss Partridge to do just that in Mistletoe and the Marquess by Wendy Vella. In Lord Misrule by Donna Cummings, a young widow chooses a handsome rogue to be her first lover, but his regrets from a past Christmas may end their affair before it even commences. A blue-stocking becomes a courtesan to escape a murderer in The Glittering Prize, an intrigue-filled romance by Beverley Oakley about finding love where it’s least expected.

This is an all-new collection of stand-alone complete works.

A Very Wicked Christmas Anthology
Six Steamy Historical Romances

The Christmas Affair by Heather Boyd: One of my favorite stories in the anthology. Amy was a wonderfully resilient woman. Parker Cabot was a tenderhearted man who took her in and in so doing perhaps saved them both. (5 stars)

Love at First Dance by Barbara Monajem: With a touch of the paranormal this was a story that I tended to skim wondering if perhaps it is part of a series. (3 stars)

Joy to the Earl by Nicola Davidson: Another favorite in this anthology. Jack and Rosalind were so wonderful together and I hoped that they would find their HEA because they so deserved it. This one made me smile.

Mistletoe and the Marquess by Wendy Vella: Duty versus love. Saving family versus personal happiness. Those are questions Jemma Partridge asks herself as she faces marriage to someone she does not love. Can she find a way out and if so will it provide a HEA? (3 stars)

Lord Misrule by Donna Cummings: Spending a fortnight with a rake might provide all the information about loving that Lady Juliana desires BUT can she and Nicholas Blaise find more in one another’s arms that a short affair?

The Glittering Prize by Beverley Oakley: The most complex story of the anthology. Jemima Percy spends a year of her life in a way she would never have imagined and in spite of all she endures it does not break her. Whether or not she will be able to avenge her father’s death, solve a puzzle and find true love is all at stake in this story (4 Stars)

With over six hundred pages of fun reading this book is definitely worth the price.

Thank you to NetGalley and LLD Press for the copy of this anthology. This is my honest review.

Are you looking for some sizzling hot novellas to curl up with and warm your toes this Fall and Winter? Well have I got an anthology for you! These stories are way beyond warming by the fire. They are well written by accomplished authors who manage to imbue their characters with deep heartfelt characterization and sympathy for the poor sexy dears. Each story revolves around the Christmas season and as usual with these anthologies some stories have more Christmasy feeling than others but all include happily ever afters and that is enough for me. This is a bargain right now on Amazon Kindle so I encourage you to make haste. Then schedule some time over the holidays to read each scintillating story.

Whether looking for excitement, chill or someday wickedly naughty thrills A Very Wicked Christmas has a lot to offer. Beverley Oakley brings on the action with the cat and mouse suspense of The Glittering Prize. Wendy Villa and Donna Cummings kick the temperature level up a notch with the scandalous liaisons of the ton. Heather Boyd and Barbara Monajem deliver sensual pleasure in surprising packages. Nicolas Davidson proves that good things come to those who wait in her story of mysteries and scintillating romance. To heat up the cool winter nights, A Very Wicked Christmas brings the heat to chase away the bite.
