Jake's Happy New Year is a children's book that walks children through year time.
It starts on New Year's eve morning, with a little boy waking up, ready to eat his pancakes. As he does, his mother explains to him, how months and seasons work and how they compile a year.
Words are simple, understandable to little children . It goes on on a question and answer mode, as it is with children. Illustration is pretty nice and attractive to little fellows.
A simple story about the year. It describes the number of days in a week, the seasons, and the progression of the year in simple child language. A nice book when you are trying to teach this unit of time to young children. The illustrations are also very simple and childlike as well. A good book for primary classrooms.
