Description

Cowboy Luke Wilder only wanted a beer at Grey’s Saloon. Instead he ends up in a fight with a brother he never knew and dumped by a fiery red headed bull breeder he only asked to dance. So much for keeping a low profile. But Luke Wilder is stubborn, and no woman’s ever said no to him twice, in business or pleasure.

Tanner McTavish is more focused on breeding champion bucking bulls than in making out with cowboys, unless that cowboy’s Luke Wilder. She’s had a crush on him for years, and the Copper Mountain Rodeo could be her chance for a little romance except she needs Luke on her side for a new business opportunity. Flirting and kissing are off limits. Too bad Tanner’s never played by the rules…

A Note From the Publisher

Sinclair has loved reading romance novels since she discovered Barbara Cartland historical romances when she was in sixth grade. By seventh grade, she was haunting the library shelves looking to fall in love over and over again with the heroes born from the imaginations of her favorite authors. After teaching writing classes and workshops to adults and teens for many years in Seattle and Portland, she returned to her first love of reading romances and became an editor for Tule Publishing last year. Sinclair lives in Oregon’s wine country where she and her family own a small vineyard of Pinot Noir and where she dreams of being able to write at a desk like Jane Austen instead of in parking lots waiting for her kids to finish one of their 12,000 extracurricular activities.

A great addition to the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo. Luke has arrived to Marietta to ride in the rodeo, he has no fondness of this town. Tanner has returned for her championship breeding of the bulls. They have lived in the shadows of their family members and have pasts that haunt them. Their is a strong chemistry between them but will it survive their pasts.

A great story full of family drama, great sexual relationship between Luke and Tanner, loved their bantering. A story that I did not want to see ending.

Luke Wilder had avoided the Copper Mountain Rodeo for years for a very good reason. The first day he was in Marietta everything that could go wrong seemed to happen. He freaked-out a woman, got into a fight with a guy who turned out to be a brother that he didn’t know about, pissed off his mother and got thrown out of a bar. And that was just within the first few hours. Luke really needed to focus on the rodeo and didn’t need any distraction. What else could go wrong?

Tanner McTavish was back at her family ranch raising rodeo bulls while her father recovered from an injury. She had a masters in genetics and animal science and had started her PhD before putting it on hold to go help her father. Her dream was to have Triple T bulls on the IBR Tour.

Tanner had seen Luke on the rodeo circuit and secretly had a crush on him. He was the IBR representative who showed up on her ranch for the appointment about her bulls. Luke planned to spend a couple days after the rodeo at the ranch observing the entire operation and meeting the ranch hands. Things heat up when an attraction between Luke and Tanner grows. But Luke has a secret that he knows Tanner will be upset when she finds out. And Tanner does find out when her twin sister returns home and spills the beans. This was not what Luke needed right before the rodeo. Will anything go right for Luke in Marietta?

This book was a wild ride. There was a lot of family drama in the story on both character’s sides. But it was how they overcame the things that should have torn them apart that kept the book interesting. The author did a good job keeping the pace of the story and with the character’s backgrounds. There was an unanswered question, but I believe they will be answered in a future book. All around it was a good story.

Sibling rivalry, overbearing parents, past secrets and unrequited love; these are the foundation of this emotional, captivating and often intense story by Sinclair Jayne.

Luke and Tanner’s story will open old wounds and inflict new ones; so can their unexpected connection heal all and provide the depth of love required to build a future? Guess you’ll just have to read the book to find out.

The third book in the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo is every bit as entertaining as the previous two, and ensures that readers will continue to want many more stories about the quaint community of Marietta, and its bevy of wonderful characters.

Let me start by saying this book is part of a series. I have not read the other books.... YET! But i did really enjoy this book. When you think about having bad days, You should read this book and then you will find that some have bad days worse than others. I really felt sorry for Luke. I am very interested in the other books in this series and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Want Me Cowboy continues the Copper Mountain Rodeo series with a story of two people trying to establish their own identities in the face of charismatic siblings. Luke is magic on a bull, and is hoping to become the Montana IBR rep, though he's not keen on being drawn into the all too frequent comparisons with his younger and more successful brother Kane. Tanner has sibling issues of her own having grown up as the hard-working twin to the stunningly beautiful and charismatic Tucker. When Luke and Tanner meet, the attraction is instant, though both of them skirt around it and circumstances seem to be forever getting in the way of their romance. This story was a fast read and a real page turner, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I think I have read everything by Sinclair Jayne that she has written for Tule Publishing. I was happy to see her try her hand at a Marietta, Montana story, especially since I like cowboys better than surfers and billionaires. She is becoming a master at character emotional anguish and there is plenty of that in Want Me, Cowboy.

Tanner McTavish is trying to make it in a male dominated field while trying to build up the family ranch. This woman has a lot on her plate. Luke Wilder has just as much including one hellish family. When the families leave these two alone, I loved watching their relationship grow, right up to the end of the rodeo. This is one wild ride at the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

Luke has avoided Marietta, Montana for very good reasons. Yet as the temporary rep for IBR, the system that picks the bulls that are good enough for the highest tier in rodeo, he’s got business here. And he’s entered the Copper Mountain Rodeo, even though it’s not his usual circuit. He’s been in town a very short time before he’s propositioned by a beautiful woman, decked by a man who could be his twin in looks and banned from the best saloon in town… and he hasn’t even left town to start checking out bull breading ranches. It’s going to be a weird rodeo.

Tanner has left school to return to Marietta and the family ranch when her father suffers a debilitating accident. She’s taken over their bull breeding program with amazing results proving her natural talent from her school days was well deserved. At one time Tanner was a promising barrel rider when a fall changed that choice. Now she breeds bulls and broncs, boards horses and takes part in other areas of the rodeo that she so loves.

When Luke shows up at the Triple T Ranch to check out the bulls and the operation, Tanner does something out of the ordinary for her, something that her twin, Tucker might more naturally do… she grabs the moment with the man she’s been attracted to for years, even though he’s unaware of her, and gets some serious flirt on. The results will lift her up to heights she didn’t know existed – and crash every dream she’s ever had.

Want Me, Cowboy starts off with a wallop and doesn’t let up until the final page… and even then you’ll imagine that there’s still stuff going on. Luke and Tanner have a sizzling chemistry from the very start. In between family drama, parents who invade personal space too much or ignore the good their child is doing, and the craziness of rodeo weekend Tanner and Luke have made a strong connection. Brothers who don’t know when to step away, unexpected news and a sister who has wounded her twin in ways that are hard to heal – all add to the emotional impact on two people who are falling in love, even if they don’t acknowledge that emotion just yet. When the ultimate smack down does come it could not only damage emotions but could injure bodies as well.

I greatly enjoyed Tanner and Luke’s romance. It’s one example of why I love Tule writers so much – they deliver a great story with believable characters and keep the continuity with a small town going strong. This is a story I’ll be reading again so I would definitely recommend this for any Romance reader who loves to fall in love with characters.

Another good read set in the town of Marietta, Montana. This one is Luke and Tanner's story. I read Tanner's twin sister's story first, but still enjoyed this one. Out of this collection of Montana books, this one is probably my favorite. I really liked Luke and Tanner together, and how well the surrounding "characters" blend so well with the story line. I like how independent Tanner is, and how strong she is, considering her old injuries and insecurities. A good story, good series and good author. Highly recommend.
