A great addition to the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo!! Loved this book. Dr Sean has returned to Marietta to work in the Emergency Room when he meets Honey, bull rider and former girlfriend of his younger brother. Neither are looking for a lasting relationship, just friends with benefits. But no denying their great sexual chemistry is off the charts. They both have family issues that bring so much more life to the story. They soon find that is more emotions involved in their relationship. All I can say, is I want more of the Gallagher brothers!!
The best laid plans are often doomed to fail, but is that such a bad thing when it results in a love that could last a lifetime?
Honey and Sean only want a fun time fling when they stumble upon each other, and realise that the sizzling attraction runs both ways. Honey is only there for the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo, and Sean is still reeling from his last serious relationship. But when a freak accident sees Honey forced to spend an extensive time in Marietta, their casual affair takes a turn towards commitment.
In Love Me, Cowgirl, Honey and Sean are forced to the acknowledge long held fears, issue some tough love, and take a chance on the future if they’re soul deep connection has a chance of survival.
I’m sure there are many more tales meant to come, well at least I hope so, and I’ll certainly be the clamouring for more from this collaboration of authors with their captivating and heartfelt stories.
Fun, likeable characters in a sweet, enjoyable story.
this is a well written story which was beautifully written, I just couldn't put it down till id got to the last page and I didn't want it to end. This book can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series. The characters have very intense chemistry between them. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended
Love Me, Cowgirl, the 4th book in The 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo Series was my favorite of the whole series. It was so good! I loved the main couple Honey and Sean, the Gallagher brothers, and Honey's brothers. Eve Gaddy's writing style worked well for me and the story just flowed. It grabbed me from the start and I power read til the end! My only problem with this book is I wanted more. I wanted it to be longer.
Honey was great. She was sweet, playful and outgoing. A total cowgirl. She had a weakness when it came to her dad. She enabled his alcoholism. At times I felt frustrated with her over the way she let her dad treat her, but at the same time I could understand it. I loved when she finally took her stand and stopped enabling him. Honey was relatable and very endearing. Sean OMG Dr. Sean was yummy! I just loved him soooo hard! Everything about him. He felt down to earth. Hardworking, loyal, sexy, caring, and good with horses. He was a Doctor and a cowboy, I mean come on, that is sexy overload!
Honey and Sean were super steamy. They go into their relationship agreeing it will be a no strings attached fling. But their "just having fun" turns into something real, really quick. They had great chemistry and it was fun seeing them fall hard for each other. I love that even though they had a great and fun relationship they still had fights. They disagreed, everything wasn't sunshine and rainbows. They had problems, but they talked about them and they were respectful of each other. And passion they had tons of passion burning up the pages!
I want to just say that I found it funny that in the last book Want me Cowboy, I hated that the hero slept with the heroine's sister, and in this book the heroine dated the hero's brother years ago and I had no problem with it. That has more to do with the way it was written. The brother had no problem with them dating, he didn't hit on her. And she told Sean right away. Honesty so refreshing. I also want to say that I loved Sean's brothers so much and was so invested in them that I started googling to see if they have their own books. They do..... and I'm so going to read them! I was happy to see the Gallagher brothers books were also written by this author. Dr. Jack Gallagher book, Sing Me Back Home is already out so I will be picking it up. But Dr. Wyatt Gallagher's book The Doctor’s Christmas Proposal comes out in Nov and I can't wait. Wyatt's book sounds so good, friends to lovers, the best kind. But I didn't find Dylan's book(he is the brother Honey dated) and I was hoping to get his hea. This book was a great, quick read.
Book Review: Love Me, Cowgirl by Eve Gaddy
A reverse gender cowboy story, “Love Me, Cowgirl” puts the onus on the man to keep the romance going while the woman is the one who is actually trying to escape. Written with two POVs, the hero and the heroine, this novella is a joy to read with many laugh out loud moments. Still, there are also some heartbreaking moments that will tug at your heartstrings.
Though both Dr. Sean Gallagher and Honey Jordan are both Marietta natives, both of them do not live in their hometown permanently for some time. For Sean, medical school and a medical practice out of state is the reason while for Honey, her barrel racing career only allows her to stay in Marietta about two weeks out of the year.
While Sean has moved back permanently, Honey was still a vagabond. And that is the crux of the matter with their relationship. Sean was ready to put on roots but Honey was still in her rolling stone phase. As their relationship grows from lust to love, Sean and Honey find themselves at an impasse. And for them to reach their happily ever after, both have to accept things about themselves that they have been hiding from for a long time.
Love Me, Cowgirl is Rated M for Mature due to sexual content.
Love Me Cowgirl is the latest offering in Tule Publishing's 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo series and tells the story of barrel racer Honey Jordan and orthopedist Sean Gallagher. Each has their own reasons for not wanting to get involved, but the attraction between these two is instant and potent. Set in the fictional town of Marietta Montana, this story has all the hallmarks of a small town romance with a strong hint of sexy thrown in for good measure. Author Eve Gaddy has done a great job of creating believable characters and a plot that will keep you turning the pages. I really enjoyed this one.
Love Me, Cowgirl by Eve Gaddy is the fourth in the 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo series. The second chance theme has been a big one for this series and I guess in the broadest of sense it fits here too. Though it seems to be much more of a coming home type of story. It is an easy read with a flowing story that engaged me from the beginning with the lights and ladder. There is a nice continuity with the other books in the series. However, you do not need to have read the others or to read them in order.
I liked both characters even if Sean came across a bit shallow in his personal life in the beginning. One gold digger shouldn’t have soured a mature male on dating as a whole. Besides it seemed his ego had been more bruised than his heart. My heart went out to Honey who had to deal with her father’s problems. I am not much on friends with benefits type of stories but could see that these two would never be able to leave it so causal. This make me want to keep reading to see where their relationship would go. I am glad that I did, I found the conclusion to be wonderfully funny. Obviously Ms. Gaddy has known some men in her life who needed to buy flowers a time or two. I certainly have. Love Me, Cowgirl is an interesting story with likable characters who deserve to find true love - Montana style.
There’s nothing quite like actually falling into a handsome man’s arms to get a relationship off to a stunning start. Sean may have rescued the beauty hanging from the side of the building when her ladder tipped while stringing Christmas lights, but he didn’t yet know that it was she who would shortly capture his heart. It was obvious she knew who he was but while she was familiar he hadn’t a clue. When asked she simply laughed and said to ask his brother… oh, boy. What has he gotten himself into.
Honey found it amusing that the stunning handsome Dr Sean Gallagher had no clue who she was. True it had been many years since she’d dated one of his brothers, but she’d let him discover that little fact. Right now she was seriously considering a fling with Sean, they certainly set off sparks between them. Honey never stayed in Marietta long, she was home for the rodeo and when it was completed she’d be on the road to the next competition. She had her reasons for not staying in town and letting her father get drunk everyday knowing she’d pick up his jobs for him. No, it was better all around that she basically lived on the road., she didn’t have to deal with dear old drunk dad – and any relationship she might have picked up had a definite expiration date. This was her life, maybe she didn’t want it to be this way but she survived, made enough money from the rodeo and her bags designs to meet her needs. If watching her friends pair up with happy ever afters set her to wishing, well she’d get over it fast.
Little did Honey know that one barrel riding accident, a serious injury, a traumatized beloved horse and one sexy, handsome, stubborn doctor were all about to change the path of her life forever.
I enjoyed Love Me, Cowgirl so much. Sean has just come out of a relationship that was nothing but lies and he’s feeling quite angry and played. Honey doesn’t do relationships because she’s never going to be in one place long enough to let it grow into something permanent. But, hey, they can both get behind a fling, one steamy, sexy fling that lasted only as long as she was in town. Yeah, right. Emotions wouldn’t play a part at all in this perfect setup – until they did and choices had to be made.
Honey has been enabling her alcoholic father for a long time. When she’s in town he goes on a bender asking her to do him “favors” like completing jobs that he’s too drunk to do. Her brothers have wiped their hands of their father, after a few stints in rehab and nothing changed, they had moved on opening their business away from Marietta. When she’s seriously injured and could not possibly do any “favors” he still asks like broken bones are nothing to stop her from doing his jobs for him. It will take awhile, but Honey will finally say no, and that decision becomes freedom in many ways.
Sean is not only a talented doctor – he’s also a horse whisperer, but never, ever call him that. He has the touch, that special something that can speak to a troubled horse and change them. He works his magic on Honey’s horse Halo after the accident when Halo becomes traumatized and almost out of control. Sean’s ability is something he tries to keep under wraps as he feels he failed a horse as a younger man. Honey and Halo will help him to see that what he has is a gift to be cherished and shared.
Sean and Honey will have some rough moments in their romance. Not everything will be smooth sailing but with determination and a huge bunch of flowers anything is possible. I enjoyed this couple, both are somewhat broken in some ways, and their healing requires them to acknowledge their feelings for each other and to let go of the past.
I would definitely recommend Love Me, Cowgirl and both series as well. If you love cowboys, hot doctors, and that special something that makes one couple perfect for each other… then you’ll enjoy this romance.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this novel. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this story.*
Overall another good read set in Marietta, Montana. This one has Dr. Sean and Honey's story. I liked it overall, although the fast "falling" in love seemed a little overdone. Obviously I expected a HEA, but more reasons of why they were falling in love, besides the sex, would have been nice. There are also a couple of teasers about other stories that I didn't find necessary. Sean's brother and sister had teasers that left me adrift a bit. I still liked this book, besides a few minor bumps, and gave it a 4. I liked it, and liked the tie in with other stories around it (nice to see how the other couples are doing). Highly recommend, but not my favorite in the series.
I really struggled to get into this book. Neither Sean nor Honey really made me care about them. Some of the later angst made finishing this book easier, but the first half of the book was so uninteresting to me that if I hadn't gotten it from Netgalley to review I probably would have DNF'd it.
It's not a bad book and the final, overall story was pretty good. The first half just didn't appeal to me in any way. I'm glad I finished it since it telegraphed the next book pretty hard.
