I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
A fairly average romance novel with some lighthearted humour. I liked the characters and enjoyed the banter between Leah and Ash. But I felt that there could have been more depth and storyline. For me it seemed to lack purpose or excitement.

Update: The book I received through Netgalley was not complete...hence the abrupt ending. I have received the full book and will be amending my review as soon as I have finished reading the remaining story
A quirky semi-romance that was a quick read with a very dissatisfied ending. Not even a cliff hanger, it just ended without purpose. The characters were a bit stiff, Ash being the only one that possessed anything near a personality. There were some lighthearted moments between Ash and Leah, with humorous banter, but even Leah's character seemed so down on herself that it was a bit depressing. Not sure were the story could have gone, but some closure would have been satisfying.
This book was provided by the Publisher and NetGalley for my honest review.
Overall a good read, although at times it seemed to drag. I found myself skimming to try to get to some action. Leah is a vet tech who is in charge of an animal shelter. Ash is a firefighter and the two meet when her house is set on fire. At first Leah seemed pretty cold to me, not caring about the kitten who Ash saved.
The humor was lighthearted and I liked that Ash didn't give up on Leah.
