I received this ARC from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I got hooked on Hawkins with her Lords of Vice series and really enjoyed all of them except the last one. So I was thrilled to find out she had another series cooking (yes I'll go and read the first two in this new series). Waiting for an Earl Like You is the third in the A Masters of Seduction series and I loved it. It has everything I love about her novels. Imperfect leads with chemistry that sizzles, mystery and intrigue, and an HEA that we work for. But the process is so delicious. With Waiting for an Earl like you, we have the Earl of Kempthorn (Thorn) and childhood friend Miss Olivia Lydall. Well, let me backtrack, Olivia is more friends with Gideon Netherwood, Thorn's twin. Except that Olivia doesn't realize that Thorn has held a tendre for her all these years. Nor does she realize that it's Thorn who kissed her all those years ago, not Gideon. When it suited, the twins would take on each other's identities. And now that Olivia is 20 and Thorn is 26, Thorn is unable to resist his neighbor. Thorn decides his only chance of spending more time with the Lady is if he pretends to be Gideon. Because she likes Gideon. Thorn? not so much. But beneath their misunderstanding and cantankerous past is an attraction that simmers to a boil.
Add in some mystery and intrigue, jealousy, mistaken identity, and the aha moment when Olivia realizes Gideon is Thorn? And you have a most fabulous historical romance.
