*My Rogue to Ruin* by Erica Ridley is a delightful historical romance that delivers both charm and chemistry in equal measure. Set in Regency-era England, the story follows Miss Violet Crenshaw, a determined and independent woman, and the enigmatic rogue, Lord Wessex, who has his own troubled past. Ridley’s writing is witty, with sparkling dialogue and a well-paced plot that keeps the tension high. The romance is a slow-burn, full of mischief, misunderstandings, and swoon-worthy moments. While the storyline may follow some familiar tropes, Ridley’s engaging characters and delightful atmosphere make *My Rogue to Ruin* a fun and satisfying read for fans of historical romance.

This was so good! The Wynchester series of books is another example of fine writing with intricate story lines about a group of 6 orphans that Baron Bean adopted and turned into the best group of spies around. And they do good works for the people who are most oppressed.

The heroine of this story is a 29-year-old spinster who contracted small pox as a child and made her partially deaf. She is an artist in all mediums. She teaches adults and children in addition for helping her siblings with their cases. The most recent case was a widow needed money and pawned her deceased husband's wedding band and received counterfeit coins that her landlord refused and then threatened to kick her out. There was only a month to recover the widow's money and ring and stop the counterfeiter.
The hero of this story is a 29-year-old man who is the second son of a marquess. His elder brother, the earl asked the hero to help him out during his first season. The hero agreed. When the marquess, their father, asked him about the incident, the hero took responsibility for it and the marquess threw him out. Turns out the older brother, the earl, had compromised a young lady in her first season and got her pregnant. The young lady had to leave London in disgrace and gave birth to a daughter. At 19, the hero was on his own with only his artistic talents to support him. The hero went to the continent and began creating forgeries from items that he was supposed to steal and send back to a crime lord in London. When the crime lord was exposed by one of his aristocrat customers, the crime lord forced him into a contract to make counterfeit coins for him. The crime lord locked him up until he could pay back everything the crime lord had paid the hero for.
I liked this story very much. The story made sense and all of the story lines weaved and wound around, but they all made sense. It was a very intricate turn of events that created a believable ending. I give this story 5 stars and recommend reading.

4 stars = Great! Might re-read.

What fun! This is the first Wynchesters book I have read, and I loved the whole found family/heist deal. I will absolutely be going back to read the previous books. I need to know how it all began. The main couple here are great - as individuals as well as together as a team - and I enjoyed the whole story. (Some language, sex)

When I requested this book, I did not realize that it was part of a series! I wish I had read the previous books before so that I could enjoy it more, but now that I know, I will definitely go back and read them! It was also my first time reading Erica Ridley and it will not be my last. The Wynchesters were so much fun and I really enjoyed this easy and fun read!

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"We don't need luck." She tapped the side of her head. "We have my memory and your talent."

My Rogue to Ruin is the fourth book in The Wild Wynchesters series. I've enjoyed each and every book so far and I seriously can't wait for the next one. Each sibling and their potential love interests or friends have made these books fly by. I was honestly very excited to jump in and see who Marjorie was going to find and fall in love with. Adrian did not disappoint one freaking bit.

The bantering, teasing, flirting, and romance that brewed between them was adorable and entertaining from start to finish. I couldn't wait for them to cross that line and turn up the heat. Which, again, did not disappoint one bit. Of course, we had to deal with some drama here and there, but it had to happen. It needed to happen.

In the end, the heists were so much fun, and I can't wait for Elizabeth to storm the castle. I'm probably the most excited to jump into her book because she has been my favorite from the very beginning.

I'm usually a die-hard fan of Erica Ridley and I enjoyed this book - but it's not my favorite. The schemes of the storyline in the Wynchesters are a little too far fetched for me and so it does take away from my enjoyment a little. Since this is historical romance, I expect to have a little more realism in the storyline and the conflicts/resolutions. However, it's still enjoyable.

Why did I put off reading and reviewing this for so long???? This is my first Wild Wynchesters but absolutely will not be my last. Marjorie and Adrian are so perfect for each other. This was such a refreshing take on the Rake/Wallflower and I loved every minute of it. Their epic love story combined with the thrilling game that is afoot made this an blast from start to delicious finish.

This is such a great series! You just can’t help but falling in love with every single Wynchester. It makes you want to be part of their family. I can’t wait for more

Maybe my favorite book in the series? A rogue whose exploits have been dramatized, and an artist who wants to prove herself to her family. There was more forced proximity than I expected, and a resolution that gives some easter eggs for the rest of the siblings.

Loved the plot, humor, and the action. It was fast paced and the characters were enjoyable to read about.

I have been recommending this to anyone who is up in arms about Bridgerton! Not too spicy, very plot heavy, and an adorable cast of characters and hedgehogs.

This was such a fun read! It’s pretty silly but I really enjoyed it. I didn’t realize it was part of a series and now I want to go back and read all of the books!

The Wynchesters are my favorite historical romance family. The books in this series are just straight-up romps. I love the diversity, the humor, and everything else about them. I can't wait to read more about this fabulous family.

Erica Ridley continues to delight in the latest installment of the Wild Wynchesters series! Marjorie has always been one of the more enigmatic siblings for me, so I enjoyed her having some time in the spotlight and learning more about her character. Lord Adrian Webb is Marjorie’s perfect foil and their romance is a pure delight.

This started well enough. Getting to know Marjorie, who is the wallflower in the Wynchester family, & Adrian, who hasn’t been in England for seven years. Marjorie is deaf in one ear & has something to prove. Adrian is a master forger & also has something to prove. I liked their banter at first, but it quickly became more about kissing, which seemed to come out of nowhere. I didn’t feel a connection to their relationship. It just suddenly started with no build up. Plus, the pep talks became tedious and repetitive. This really didn’t seem much of a heist, because the villain was supposed be this great mastermind, but instead was basically a clown….him & his crew. I could have got by those guys! Some parts were good—love the family dynamics, but I felt no connection to the actual love story and found quite a bit repetitive.

A Fab Addition to the Series.
Marjorie Wynchester is a gifted artist and an adept forger. However she only forges to help her siblings right wrongs and is horrified to hear of a counterfeiter whose false coin is defrauding poor widows. Such is her anger that rather than stay in the background of one of her family capers, she insists on taking the lead. Once undercover she begins to feel that maybe the forger is not as black as he was painted!
I was gifted a copy of this title by the publisher and NetGalley and have voluntarily read/reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Amusing, charming and so sweet! Loved it! But then again I love regency romance and fun storylines that are entertaining and filled with loveable characters.

This one was a big improvement to me. I love that the Wynchesters are all so different and interesting, but that does mean that occasionally I simply do not like one of their stories. Marjorie is brave and interesting and very capable, all of which I love. I'm glad she finally got to be the heroine in her story.
