I loved this book! As a mother to three young boys, I cannot wait to add this book to our library. The theme of wonder and curiosity were perfect for young readers. The illustrations were beautiful and added lots of value to the story. I would highly recommend this book to families with young children. It's an enjoyable read to children and adults, alike!
Thank you so much to NetGalley for this ARC!
This book needs to be added to all your kids libraries! It was SO cute! My four kids and I just adored it. It was such a wonderful story. The conversations to follow were so fun too with my kids.
How Do I Wonder is a children's book focused on usinf your imagination and thinking outside of the box. The rhyme scheme makes it an easy read aloud book, great for bedtime. All of the art is absolutely beautiful; such a great mixture of whimsy and detail. My kids enjoyed looking at the art and finding all the details they could. Overall, my kids and I enjoyed How Do I Wonder! I can definitely see it being a part of our home library in the future.

Very beautiful illustrations that match the tone and rhythmic flow of the book. I think this is a wholesome book that encourages a child's creativity while also encouraging literacy engagement.
This book has lots of fun and detailed illustrations, which provide lots for young readers to look at while reading. I really enjoyed the rhyming text and the questions offered throughout the book could prompt a really great discussion between an adult and child.
You'd think with all the children's books about curiosity and learning, I'd be somehow bored -- but nope! And How Do I Wonder? stands out in particular.
The rhymes are perfect to read aloud (which is more than I can say for some other kids' books), so I can see this being a hit at storytime because of that alone. The illustrations are also so cute and vibrant -- and especially fun in relation to the questions the book asks! Most importantly, I think this book does a wonderful job of exploring that childlike headspace of wondering about "silly" or "strange" questions that we, as adults, somehow learn to stop asking. It shows just how much magic can be in the endless pursuit of curiosity.

5 ⭐️
This children’s book is definitely one of my new favorites for our house.
The illustrations are beautiful, colorful and so lively. They drew me in right away, and also had my children hooked immediately. There were so many things that they pointed out on each page, like the rainbow snail, the kids who looked like them (they are biracial), the drawing on the cardboard box, etc.
The story itself was so creative and fun to read with them. Each question had an answer, no matter how silly. My kids definitely think lizards speak different languages, my oldest even clarified each type of lizard speaks a different set of lizard dialect. And they decided old is “mommy and daddy’s age” so love that.
As you go through the story, not only may you giggle, but your brain really starts working, thinking, wondering. Imaging new or silly things, creating cool ideas and concepts, brainstorming how something could work. It also is really encouraging of those things - curiosity, exploration, imagination. It was just a really wholesome book!
I’m definitely gifting this to all of the kids I know for holidays and birthdays.
Thank you NetGalley and The Collective Book Studio for the early read!
