I have started reading this book multiple times because each time I thought I hadn't read it. Although the information is good, I am giving it a lower star rating because it doesn't stand out as being memorable. I think this may be a good volume to have on your shelf and flip through from time to time if your profession involves writing.

I’m not sure what I expected with this book. This seems like it’s geared toward folks with a blog or writing a book. I’ll keep it for reference if I need to write anything persuasive. This book wasn’t for me, but it would be helpful to others.

Useful but having read a few books in the same category, I didn't feel as though this novel offered anything new or different that other Write to Influence books missed. More of the same old but still useful information if this is the first a reader grabs

This is a great book to have if you need to brush up on your business writing skills. Carla Bass shares her tips on writing effective business communication that is professional and grammatically-correct. She teaches you how to pare down your words and avoid redundancies and get your point across without needing to ramble on. The book includes her pointers for resume writing, emails, briefings and proposals and has a hundred business writing exercises at the end. It's a very useful tool to own.

*I received an advance reading copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*

"Write to Influence!" is a practical and informative book that teaches the fundamentals of good writing and how to communicate more effectively. Most important, this book will teach you how persuade and influence others via your writing. It is suitable for writers of all skill levels and walks-of-life, from high school students and business professions to stay-at-home parents and military personnel.

I did like the format of the book showing bad examples and then how to correct it to make it effective. But thats only one aspect of it. Would love more on more strategies.

Some useful insights, and lots of helpful examples. The exercises included for practice are also an excellent way to encourage active change to tired writing habits, rather than passively reading another "how to". My only quibble is that there are, at times, a few too many exclamation marks! It comes across as over-excited, and a little annoying to a cynical bore such as myself.
