Evan and Amaree were once high school sweethearts "But now that they were past that, could they somehow rekindle what was once so strong?" . What a steamy and hot hotel hookup between the characters!
I am not sure about this read. It was short, which was what I was looking for at the time I chose Hotel Hook-Up: Austin by Annabelle Snow to read, but I was like whirlwind fast. There was little character development and by the time I read the last sentence, I can only say I think I liked Amaree & Evan. I mean I am all for second time romances especially for high school lovebirds, but there was no romancing in this one. I mean Evan did saw he wanted to begin again and Amaree was like sure, but at the end all they promised was to save a dance at their friend's upcoming nuptials which were 9 months away.
I digress, Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow was just okay. Sure, if you are looking for a slam, bam, thank you ma'am, kind of read, this is definitely the book for you. How-so-and-ever, if you need a little bit more to have you swooning over the story and its main characters, this isn't the read for you. But... one more but... there are two more parts in this series to feature two other hotel hook-ups that are all interconnected. I digress, Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow was just okay. So there you have it, 3-stars and I recommend that you add this title to your Goodreads "To Read" list and prepare to skip on over to read Hotel Hookup: Austin by Annabelle Snow on January 25, 2017.
I loved the basis for the story and would continue to read more in the series. The only downfall I see is how short the story was. There wasn't enough of the background of their previous relationship to meet my needs. I love romance and read tons of erotic/modern romance novels. This is more of a novella than a full novel.
This is a lighthearted and sexy read with no hidden agenda - the title is definitely an apt one for the story. High school sweethearts Amaree and Evan had an agreed upon breakup when they went to different colleges but 8 years later they are both involved in a wedding party of mutual friends and get the chance to rediscover their attraction during the engagement festivities. It's mostly steamy sex (sometimes a bit more clinical sounding than erotic) as they spend the night together. They leave each other with the promise of picking things up in a few months time at the wedding, but no specific commitment, so I'd call it a happy for now ending. 3.5 stars and I'm curious to read more of this series, which looks to star other couples in similar one night stand scenarios, though all are connected to the wedding to link them together.
