I LOVE THIS FEATURE. THANKS!! Gives one a chance to see if this is on one's reading list--or not.
I like the monthly editions because they are shorter in length which I find easier than the seasonal editions. Since We Fell sounds great and so does The Fact of A Body.
A helpful guide containing extracts and content good for NetGalley readers.
Not much in this book that I was interested in checking out, but I love looking at it every month! Sometimes I get turned onto books via the excerpts that I wouldn't have looked at normally.
Great showcase of upcoming titles! Loved the excerpt from Flame in the Mist!
Another great set of previews of books to add to my "to read" list.
I enjoyed being able to read about what is being released. I am looking forward to more publications such as this and some of the stories that were in this publication.
I always like to check the Buzz Books Monthly and the Buzz Books YA Seasonal editions to get a sample of lots of books that I wouldn't ordinarily seek out excerpts of on my own. The May edition was good, though underwhelming for the selection. However, it did have an excerpt of The Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh, which I had already read in full but is an amazing book! Glad to see it in this offering so that others may get a peek at it before it's release on May 16th.
A lot a great new titles coming out soon. I'm especially excited about Renee Ahdieh's FLAME IN THE MIST
Another month of great book info for books lovers! So nice having the link to the NetGalley widget at the end of the excerpts!
Great way to find your next great book. Also a good way to keep up to date with trends and find new authors.
I'm looking forward to Dennis Lehane's Since We Fell
and Salt Houses by Hala Alyan which I think is out now...
A treat to get a look inside the pages of books heading for bookstores. Graeme Simpson's newest, The Best of Adam Sharp and Richard Ford's Between Them are on my TBR list.
Love these monthly Buzz Books. Always find more books to add to my TBR.
I love discovering new books! I'm always happy to find out which new books will be making their way to shelves in the coming months. This is a very helpful guide when recommending new books for the library to purchase.
I really enjoyed The Fact of A Body excerpt. I also looked into several of the weekly listings.
Nice collection of new books. Still slightly disappointed with the fact that most if not all excerpts were publisher before, but still a nice reminder of the new books coming. Especially appreciate the list with books to come at the start. May seems like a very promising month (as usual).
MAY BUZZ BOOKS MONTHLY is another great collection of excerpts and lists of forthcoming titles. SO many books that I hope to read, including many that are available through Net Galley. Some local connections include author Scott Turow (TESTIMONY, Grand Central, 5/16 ) and Condoleezza Rice (DEMOCRACY, Twelve, 5/9) who will be speaking at New Trier in mid-May. I am especially looking forward to reading these works (excerpted in MAY BUZZ BOOKS MONTHLY): SALT HOUSES BY Hala Alyan and THE BEST OF ADAM SHARP by Graeme Simsion.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for sending me a digital ARC of so many exciting new books. I must say I am over the top excited about “Mockingbird Songs: My Friendship with Harper Lee” by Wayne Flynt. The excerpt was beautiful and intriguing. I know the patrons of the library where I work will be ecstatic to learn more about Harper Lee.
These previews are convenient and concise. Would love to have excerpts/samples that are different from those featured in the seasonal Buzz Books.
