I always love when these Buzz Books come available. It's an awesome way to be exposed to books you normally wouldn't reach for. It takes you out of your comfort zone. You get to read a few chapters of a book to see if you are going to like it or not. The best part is there is usually a link at the end of each one to click on to request! Brilliant!!
I really like this monthly installment of the upcoming buzzworthy books. May is another great month for reading. I am most looking forward to Mr. Rochester (by Sarah Shoemaker - excerpt included) and Chemistry (by Weike Wang), but there are a number of other great books publishing this month as well. Thanks for bringing them all to my attention so I can add even more books to my TBR list!!
I actually screamed when I saw that there was an excerpt of Flame in the Mist in month's edition. I've always wanted to read it, and after reading the excerpt I'm dying to get my hands on it.
The other book that really caught my attention was The Fact of a Body, I've never heard about it before but after reading the excerpt I think I'll definitely give it a try. Very captivating.
This month's edition was really fantastic, I just wish there were more YA excerpts.
I love these monthly Buzz Books! It really helps me decide which books to feature on my blog.
Look forward to this monthly as a sneak peek of what is to come!
What an interesting selection for May! I'm especially looking forward to BETWEEN THEM and SALT HOUSE.
A great selection! I love seeing the new books being released each month. I am going to add them to my TBR and am excited to get my hands on many of them.
I enjoy reading about upcoming book tiles, and it helps me with my purchasing for the library.
A good mix of titles and previews for the month to come.
I always enjoy reading about the upcoming releases. Thank you for providing these useful guides!
Awesome as always, handy in case you miss a few good reads
I love getting these previews!!!! These books give me a chance to see what is coming out soon and start my reading list. Thanks for publishing these!
Excellent publication, as usual. Always has something I want to read.
Quite an eclectic collection this time. Most books were surprisingly not my cup of tea. Never mind, they can't always cater a mag like this just for me, can they? Haha, Well done Net Galley. Another superb group of excerpts.
Another great collection of extracts to get me excited about books due for release next month.
Can't wait for these books to be released! Great selection!
The publishing calendar makes it worth picking up Buzz Books every month - I always find must-read titles that I didn't know about!
Ever since I discovered these a couple of months ago, I've kept an eye out for them. The excerpts are great, and combined with the lists of upcoming releases, help me grow my TBR tremendously (which could be construed as a bad thing since it's so out of hand already, but is actually a fantastic thing because I love books). Can't wait for the Fall/Winter next month!
Love the Buzz Books Monthly. Some great new authors and titles.
I really liked this addition. It has given me many more books to add to my reading list!
Keep up the good work! This is one of the best sources to find out everything about the upcoming releases and I make sure to follow it each month and each season.
Excellent titles. Looking forward to reading the finished books.
Flame in the Mist, The Fact of a Body - these are just a couple of my favorites. Wow!!
Good resource to see what is coming out in the world of books.
MAY BUZZ BOOKS MONTHLY is another great collection of excerpts and lists of forthcoming titles. SO many books that I hope to read, including many that are available through Net Galley. Some local connections include author Scott Turow (TESTIMONY, Grand Central, 5/16 ) and Condoleezza Rice (DEMOCRACY, Twelve, 5/9) who will be speaking at New Trier in mid-May. I am especially looking forward to reading these works (excerpted in MAY BUZZ BOOKS MONTHLY): SALT HOUSES BY Hala Alyan and THE BEST OF ADAM SHARP by Graeme Simsion.
Nice collection of new books. Still slightly disappointed with the fact that most if not all excerpts were publisher before, but still a nice reminder of the new books coming. Especially appreciate the list with books to come at the start. May seems like a very promising month (as usual).
I really enjoyed The Fact of A Body excerpt. I also looked into several of the weekly listings.
I love discovering new books! I'm always happy to find out which new books will be making their way to shelves in the coming months. This is a very helpful guide when recommending new books for the library to purchase.
Love these monthly Buzz Books. Always find more books to add to my TBR.
I'm looking forward to Dennis Lehane's Since We Fell
and Salt Houses by Hala Alyan which I think is out now...
Great way to find your next great book. Also a good way to keep up to date with trends and find new authors.
Another month of great book info for books lovers! So nice having the link to the NetGalley widget at the end of the excerpts!
I enjoyed being able to read about what is being released. I am looking forward to more publications such as this and some of the stories that were in this publication.
Another great set of previews of books to add to my "to read" list.
Great showcase of upcoming titles! Loved the excerpt from Flame in the Mist!
I like the monthly editions because they are shorter in length which I find easier than the seasonal editions. Since We Fell sounds great and so does The Fact of A Body.
A helpful guide containing extracts and content good for NetGalley readers.
I LOVE THIS FEATURE. THANKS!! Gives one a chance to see if this is on one's reading list--or not.
I love being able to keep track of what's coming out and when. Book Buzz does that, as well as provide sampler of the books getting the biggest buzz. I just have to remember to look for it!
I think having a monthly edition is a great way to find out about books coming out and what they are about. There is a variety of titles. It has given me an opportunity to look at a book I wouldn't even think about reading. So even if I don't buy that particular title at least I know why I didn't get it. I must admit though that I usually find more books to read than less!
This is a great collection of excerpts of upcoming books for the month of May 2017.
It contains an introduction followed by a section with a list of anticipated debut fiction, commercial fiction, and nonfiction titles. Then it has a section of "Week by Week" title releases and at the end some book excerpts that were originally published in Buzz Books 2017: Spring/Summer and Buzz Books 2017: Young Adult Spring/Summer. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for Since We Fell by Dennis Lehanne.
Overall, a great list of buzzing titles for the month of May 2017.
