Well this sat way too long on my TBR list. I've had this book since 2017 and as I'm trying to read from my oldest backlog, I picked this one up. Unsure if I would enjoy it as my reading tastes have seemingly changed over the years, I'm happy to say, I loved it!
The wealthy, handsome widower returns to the small town to take care of his grandmother's home and ready it to sell. But here comes along an old fried of his summers past whose all grown up now with a child of her own.
Watch the love bloom in this one! It's a sweet romance that I totally fell for! I need to check out more books by this author that I've been shamelessly sleeping on!

This is a really nice holiday read..
Good characters, no great surprises but a real good feel factor romance.
I simply didn't care for this book. It's a personal preference. I didn't feel the connection between the book ad the blurb. I chose not to finish it after attempting to read it on several occasions.
This is a wonderful sweet romance that has Rich Redmond and his young daughter returning to Pa. to settle his grandmother's estate. When his grandmother's ghost wants him to find his half sister and a cache of jewels hidden by his great great grandmother he wonders about his mental state. He meets and rekindles a childhood friendship with Torrie, a single mother. A nice old fashioned love story with a touch of mystery and a ghostly nudge of love for her grandson. The title is so neatly wrapped up in the story and the symbolism is beautiful. Judy Ann Davis gives you a nice feel good story that moves along with humor and the token bad man.
Four White Roses is a very well written book with a good plot and interesting characters. I enjoyed Ms Davis's writing and look forward to reading more of her work.
Four White Roses by Judy Ann Davis
Level of Romance: High
Four White Roses by Judy Ann Davis (Amazon | Kobo) is the story of a sarcastic ghost and two lonely hearts finding love. Widower Rich Redman didn’t want to come to Hickory Valley, PA but he was left no choice. His grandmother’s house wasn’t selling and he needed to make decisions on it, not to add that a mysterious last note from her has just been discovered. When he finds himself in need of rescue ten miles out of town, Torrie Jean Larson plays the part of Knight in Rusted Pickup and gives him a ride to Grandma’s house. When he discovers the contents of grandma’s mind-blowing last missive, he finds himself in need of an ally like Torrie. Soon they are facing homespun adventures in a haunted house supposedly hiding a magnificent treasure. Of course, they discover love along the way:
The kiss was slow and gentle. Nothing like she expected. She felt a slow flame begin to burn all the way down to her toes in her strappy heels.
From first kiss to last, this is a story that will keep you laughing till the very end.
this book was fun to read, I liked the characters and the story line was very good. Real world situations made it believable. At times it felt a little stiff to me. It was well worth a read if you like a little bit of mystery and crime and a lot of romance.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. I gave it 5 stars and highly recommend to everyone! A great book for bookclubs also. I like that it was a novel full of relationships between characters, father, daughter, grandson, grandmother, friends, half brother and half sister. I enjoyed the love story between the characters and was so happy their wasn't ridiculous sex scenes in this book. It is a feel good novel and I would read it again and again.
Nice customer service, honey.
Beggars can't be choosers.
I would love that house.
So creepy.
This is an adorable girl. And she sure has her priorities straight.
Nice car!
She needs to get a restraining order or something against Ivan.
How sad that she can't see her daughter every day.
Aw, he is cute. And he wants to impress her so badly.
Why is she embarrassed to be divorced and have a kid?
Quite the vocabulary you've got there, Estella.
Have fun "painting", Marlene!
Six-year-olds with dyed hair? What is the world coming to?
What are you, the morality police, Ivan?
Could you be any crabbier, man?
If it's not the phone, it's the girls cock-blocking him. Poor man!
Even Ivan's father knows he's crazy.
Nathan and Lucille, sittin' in a tree.
Good girl, Estella. That was smart.
Is his grandma implying he didn't have real love with his wife?
Haha, these girls are so cute!
