Loryn Brantz is hilarious! She never fails to make me laugh. her comics are relatable and enjoyable. A great, quick read!
This book features several short stories.
The art's simple, it reminded me of Sarah's Scribbles.
The stories are bits of a woman's life senn in a diferent light, making the protagonist's struggles relatable.
Overall, this is a fun short boook that you should read if you like Sarah's Scribbles.
Lady Stuff is a quick, cute and relatable coffee table book. If you've spent time on the internet, you're probably familiar with a lot of the jokes, but they're still enjoyable here collected into one volume.
I have seen Loryn Brantz comics online before requesting this book from Netgalley and I can say, this book did not disappoint. I read it in my office over lunch and was laughing out loud like a lunatic alone in the room - people were giving me funny looks from the hallway and I didn't even care.
Lady Stuff is a hilarious compilation of comics about being a woman and the many facets of our lives - I particularly enjoy anything about autumn coming and freaking out about it, being antisocial and following your dreams of being a blanket burrito or being a professional napper. These comics all really spoke to me and I shared them with my officemate and my hubby and they chuckled while I was cry-laughing ...
If you have enjoyed Brantz comics online, you will love this book. It is fun, bright, and will make any day better by being honest. It was wonderful!

Oh. That was… a bit of a let down. And I say this as a fan of Loryn Brantz. (Her Instagram account is gold. Gold, I say!)
So what’s the problem? The jokes are unoriginal (too much eyeliner makes you look like a panda, yeah, we know that one) and repetitive (the first joke about being so-indecisive-about-inconsequential-things-that-you-turn-into-a-skeleton was funny, but not so much the second or third time; maybe this could have been funny if all these comics had been shown together, but they’re spread out as if the reader won’t remember a punch line from 15 pages ago). The theme is a bit lazy, which sounds harsh, but what’s tying these comics together, really? Just generic headings that sometimes don’t even match the content. A few of the comics didn’t make sense to me—“when life hands you lemons, make a bed of them and take a nap”? I love Brantz’s commitment to promoting her pro-nap stance, because I get it. Naps are the absolute best. But like, come on. Am I the only one missing something here?
Maybe this is a fun collection for readers new to Brantz and her humor. For someone who’s familiar with her work, this was lackluster. I’ll just stick to the occasional updates on my Instagram feed. That’s ultimately more satisfying than this collection.
I think it would be very funny if I didn't heard lot of them before. I don't know who has taken whose jokes but still it was funny and refreshing. Some of them are downright embarrassing but that makes them more funny I guess :D...
There are lot of challenges we ladies face - and can be represented as hilarious comics as this but we overcome them and emerge as strong, confident and sexy creatures as we are, so kudos to us!
This graphic novel was hilarious, really enjoyed it. It was a quick and fun read and felt that most women will identify with it I know I did and felt that what it showed, at least for me how I feel sometimes. I do recommend it. Also thanks to Netgalley for the chance to get to read it ahead of time.
Highly relatable and made me laugh! Was a great break from the heavier books I read. Recommended to all the ladies out there. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC!
This book had me laughing a couple times, and almost every page was relatable. It's only drawbacks were that there were a few things that were repeated, but not organized in a way that felt like a theme and that it felt a little short. Instead each time it felt like a joke to which I had already heard the punchline.
It was not nearly as funny as I anticipated despite the many truths it portrayed.
I received an ARC e-book copy of this book from NetGalley to review. I follow Loryn Brantz's comics on social media so several of these were ones I've already seen. I do love the way they are categorized in this book, however it felt like some were essentially the same theme over and over again (e.g. the eyebrows shaping and eyeliner application, the constant need to nap though certainly relatable of course!, etc.). Some of these strips are pretty funny as I have definitely experienced a bunch of these scenarios awkwardly myself. Overall, it's certainly an enjoyable light read that would make for a fun gift or coffee table addition.
If you like Sarah Andersen's work, you'll probably enjoy this volume by Loryn Brantz. Relatable and real, Brantz illustrates the struggles of being "female" in this compilation of one panel comics.
I love this comic. I've followed it online for a while so it's nice to have a bunch together in a book for anyone not familiar with it. It's funny and sooooo relatable to the women who read it.
This book was full of stuff I can relate to.. but it isn't one of the best ones I've read so far. Some of the illustrations didn't make me burst out laughing, I think I missed the meaning.. Anyway, it is fun and you should give it a try!
I've forgotten several things about being a lady but I definitely related especially those awkward social occasions and wanting to stay home instead of going to work among many of the other things mentioned. I laughed so much. It made my day!
A book that reminded me of all the hilarious things we do when we are first learning about being a lady. So much of it is true though I would never admit to my friends. It's fun to see how seriously we can take the incidents that are taken so seriously. It's a fun book that I recommend to all females learning how to do lady stuff. After all it's good to be reminded how silly it can be. Enjoy!
I don't have a lot to say about this beyond it was pretty cute, if a bit repetative. I think Brantz's humor lends itself more to short stories like her book Feminist Baby.
I thought this comic was funny, but did NOT appreciate the profanity and sometimes vulgar humor. Some of the good jokes were about feminine things like nail polish, dresses, and shaving; and some of it was normal social things like feeling awkward at parties. I liked most of it, but the profanity on a few of the pages ruined my enjoyment. I liked the cute artwork though!

Absolutely hilarious! Reminded me of Sarah's Scribbles and definitely one I would recommend to a friend.
I love this comic on buzzfeed and this book doesn't fail to disappoint. It's funny and heartwarming. I can't wait to get a physical copy of this to enjoy the pictures again.
