This is a picture book full of funny little anecdotes about being a female, that I'm sure all females can relate to for one reason or another! They weren't sidesplittingly funny, but I found myself nodding to a lot of them and that's the bit I enjoy, the fact that these things happen to other people! This would make a good stocking filler gift.
I really enjoyed this books. I have been following the author since I stumbled upon her comics online. Many of the comics in the books were things I have seen online but some were not. I did enjoy reading them all together, it provided laughs and a very relatable author. I am glad her work is published and might have to buy a personal copy. Will put on my Reader's advisory website and share closer to publication.
This is a picture book full of funny little anecdotes about being a female, I found myself nodding to a lot of them as they happen in my life so I enjoyed it!!!
A collection of fun, quirky and tongue in cheek online comics. Some were mildly amusing, but most were pretty funny, and a few were really hilarious, with strange and unexpected twists. The comics themselves are enjoyable, but as they are all available online I wouldn't buy the book unless I was a really huge fan.
So funny and... true to life. Her comics are so hilarious I read the book in one sitting (cough) (cough), while at work and then read it again when I got home. I definitely recommend this book to anybody who needs a laugh.
A very relatable book. Most of the comics in the book are small everyday scenario most women can find them self in at one time. It is both funny and charming, and the drawings are so so cute.
I liked most of the book, but not the series of 10 thinks to do to drive a man crazy. That series just became to strange, but I guess that most of the people who like this book also like that. Different people, different taste.
Over all, it is an easy and quick read, perfect for a quick coffee break.
I didn't expect to like this but I really did! It's very funny and feels fresh, perhaps because I hadn't seen almost any of it before online. Sometimes the more feminist strips can be quite angry, but this was supportive. Only no to handselling because you can't hand sell humour.
Extremely funny and relatable. I love it!!! Can't wait to have the actual book in my hands.
I expected a fun, quick read and what I got was even funnier than I expected. With insightful wittiness, I enjoyed it so much that I read it in one sitting and may even decide to head back to it when I need a laugh. I'd recommend it for any woman or those who spend plenty of time with them.
OMG ladies! Whatever you are doing stop. Take this graphic novel and read it.
This was hilariously awesome and soooooo relatable. I literally finished it within 30 minutes and laughed aloud through the whole read (I might have scared a bit my cats because they stared at me with the '' she's finally lost it'' expression...)
Loryn you are my spirit animal and I love you! Absolutely 1000% recommended to all girls, women out there.
Plus I loved the art work <3
Thank you!!
This was a hilarious and completely ACCURATE collection! I wish there was more!
I was only supposed to check out the first few pages but fast forward 30 mins, I've now completed the book. This is just one of those books that are so fun and easy to read that you simply cannot put them down until you're done with them. Which is definitely a plus point for me!
A lot of the illustrations in this book are cute and funny scenarios that most of us will probably be able to relate with. While I did find a few of them quite repetitive, overall I found this collection very enjoyable. And there are a lot of illustrations here that will definitely get a chuckle out of you.
There are people who are observant and witty about everyday thoughts and actions. There are others who have the additional talent of converting them into the panels of a comic strip making us laugh as we see ourselves captured in that mirror. I am thankful that I came across this collection and read it on a day I needed to laugh aloud in an airport and have strangers look at me askance.
Hmmm, was this book written by one of my close, personal, online, social-media friends that I will never meet irl but spend too much time discussing fan fiction and memes with? Oh, a feminist x-ennial who regularly contributes to buzz feed......
Yeah, close enough
A super sassy, honest view of being a female in the 2010's. Brantz creates a meme-like, easy to digest narrative of the most #relatable woman. I laughed the whole time and kept having my boyfriend lean in to laugh too. Just because it's 'Lady Stuff' doesn't mean everyone can't get a good laugh out of it!!
I'm not familiar with Loryn Brantz but I have seen some of these panels floating around on social media. It was funny, it was relatable and it had me chuckling to myself a number of times.
Some panels were quite repetitive and others went over my head because I didn't relate to them, but overall it was enjoyable and made me smile.
Lady Stuff has several panels that are truly laugh-out-loud funny. The rest are relatable for anyone who has ever felt awkward (i.e. everyone).
This book was a perfect antidote to a hot, summer day! I liked it so much the first time, that I read it a second time. I would definitely recommend Lady Stuff to all of my friends!
There were some panels that felt repetitive, which is what kept my rating at four stars instead of five.
This book had me laughing so hard! These comics are so relatable and simple and ridiculous in the best way!
I particularly like the one that says:
"I can't come in to work today."
"Oh, ok, why not?"
"My bed is warm."
LOVE IT!
A funny read for everyone to enjoy!
Lady Stuff is a collection of comic panels depicting the relatable stuff that comes along with being a lady. From self-care to ambitions, many of my fellow ladies will be able to relate. This quick read will have you realizing that you're not the only one who goes through this. You might even learn some tips along the way.
I am no stranger to the comics published online by Loryn Brantz, so when I saw the opportunity to read her newest compilation before it was published, I jumped at the chance. The comics are not laugh out loud funny but they do merit a snicker and they're definitely relatable for the everyday 21st century woman. I especially enjoyed the chapter on Mating Habits
This is really more of a 3.5 than a 4, but what the heck, we'll round up! Loryn's comics are always adorable; I follow her posts on facebook, though, so I've already seen most of these. If you don't follow her regularly, this would be more worthwhile for you. A lot of her comics are definitely cute and relatable, and I do enjoy her little moments here and there of feminism and inclusion. This would probably be a good coffee table or bathroom book, you know? I don't think I'd recommend rushing out to pre-order it, though.
Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC! My opinions in this review are entirely my own.
I absolutely LOVE Loryn Brantz comics so to have them together in a book is just perfect. They are all so funny. Its impossible to read them and not laugh out loud.
Absolutely brilliant. Laugh out loud funny, touching and oh so relatable in so many ways.
Lots of fun one page comics that illustrate everyday life for a woman. It is so everyday life, that she could have been writing about me or any friend. A great fun short read.

Relatable and fun. I'll be telling friends and fans of Hannah Hillam and Sarah Anderson to pick up this book.
Cute, relatable and hilarious! I love how the format is really simple so it easy to grab but tell more! Recommended when you want to have fun quick read !
Have been following her work online for a long time now. Everyday nuances with the right amount of sass! Love it.
cute and relatable, really enjoyable and funny. definitely recommend, more as a kind of skim through for a few minutes book vs sit down and read if that makes sense. a good coffee table book or gift for a friend who doesn't like to read that much.
Hilarious and relatable, Loryn Brantz, author of Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman, reveals long held secrets of women everywhere.
Such a funny Comic and definitely super relatable.
Loved the simple art style and now I'm gonna be looking for more of Loryn's work.
Loryn Brantz's new book, Lady Stuff, is relatable, hilarious, and spot-on. Divided into five subcategories from "Grooming and Habitat Maintenance" to "Social Conduct", these simple drawings express the realities of "adulting" for many twenty/thirty-somethings. While some of the comics did not fit into their categories as seamlessly as I would have liked, they were all funny. This book fills a refreshing space between the 200 well-curated and perfectionistic Instagram posts that popped up this morning, while still being meme-worthy. I found myself wanting to share some of the individual comics with friends because the images work as well alone as they do in a collection. The collection of Jellybean comics in this book is aimed towards single women without children, but most wives and moms will find something relatable in its pages. Brantz affirmed my love of napping...and my decision to give this book as a gift to all of my girlfriends.
A friendly little book that has cute female character that many (most?!) women will read & relate to! I found myself smiling & nodding in the affirmative "oh yeah" the majority of the book! I'd definitely recommend it to friends. It's definitely good for a quick read & some relatable laughs/smiles!
I received this e-galley from NetGalley, free, & in return only for my own honest review.
Super funny and relatable. I will recommend it to everyone!
Thank you Netgalley for this book.
This is a really cute and funny book for women in their twenties and thirties. I was laughing out loud. It was realtable and true which makes it that much better. I want to buy a copy for all my friends.
This was quite hilarious and is truly very relatable to women! The pictures, well the woman's facial expressions are so funny. She even gets the "like a boss" expression.
I loved this book! I always laughed when I saw memes by this author, but I had never sat down and read a chunk of her work before. The book was simple and hilarious. The art style was consistent, easy to follow, and not overly done (don't get me wrong, gorgeous art is gorgeous). The content fit my life despite not being a lady. There were so many comics about being an introvert and loving dogs that I could easily relate.
Somewhat reminiscent of the Sarah's Scribbles strip, this collection by Loryn Brantz deals with many everyday funnies in the life of an American woman. Enjoyable, but not hilarious. There was one series of strips about using guacamole as a prop in intimate settings -- if the idea of that makes you giggle, this book is for you. ;-)
I stumbled upon this graphic novel while looking through NetGalley (when I know I shouldn't --- I've been backlogged on reading). I am glad I found this one, it was a cute, quick, relatable book full over single page comics that illustrate struggles women face. I could relate to probably 90% of the comics. While like "Adulthood Is A Myth" in that I have come upon various comics by this author through social media, most of the ones in this volume are ones that I had not seen before.
I definitely recommend this graphic novel, it is entirely worth the read.
Highly relatable and funny. Had a blast reading it. Recommended!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley.
This was a fun, quick and true to life comic book.
Hilarious and read it in one seating, highly recommend it.
Brantz's comics are quick and adorable, and for me completely relatable. This book is definitely getting recommended to my friends as a pick me up and giggle book. From illustrations based on daily life to dating life to social interactions, she's included it all.
These comics are so cute and relatable. I read this fairly quickly on breaks at work, and it made me smile. I only rated 4 stars however because I have already seen a majority of these comics on the internet previously. I know they're popular and posted everyone, but I would've liked to see more newer ones.
Hysterically funny look at Being a woman. The book is written almost as a comic strip. It covers lots of female subjects like manicure tips, how to get the interest of your man, and much more. The book is a very quick read but it will bring a smile to your face. it gives you a whole new outlook on being Woman.
I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.
I've been enjoying Loryn Brantz's work on Instagram for a few months now, so when I found out there was a whole book of this stuff, I wanted to get my hands on it. If you follow Brantz online, you've probably already seen most of the content contained in this book, but the good thing about Brantz's work is that you can read it over again and the smile won't leave your face. Anyone that loves fun toons about the perils of life (especially the perils of all things to do with being a lady) will love this collection.
Hilarious, relatable, and witty. Would recommend this book for everyone who wants to read something fast and funny.
A series of cartoons about. . . well, you already know if you read the title.
Since this isn’t a story, it’s much easier to simply say there were a lot of hilarious moments here. This may be the funniest thing I’ve read all year. Some highlights:
The matching eyebrows (it literally made me laugh out loud).
“Pick a color” at the manicure place.
“My bed is warm.”
*Hugs sweatpants*
She lost me at “guac.”
“Summer cuddles”—not a name—is spot on.
How not to eat cookies.
Talking ice cream, no matter how cute, is friggin’ scary.
See, this is what I’ve been saying about garlic all along!
Sometimes when she’s in the blanket she looks like the cute little seal girl from Song of the Sea, but other times she looks like a nesting doll.
It’s all done in really simple drawings, but then this is about the humor, so it doesn’t matter.
4.5 pushed up to 5/5
I love these comics, Loryn Brantz seems to know exactly how I feel about procrastination, make up and sweatpants.
I just want to start by saying that Laryn Brantz is my kind of people. She manages to capture modern life in such an honest and amusing way. I will admit to previously being a fan of her work on Buzzfeed - she manages to get the balance between humour and honesty just right. I don't want to give too much away (publication isn't for another 7 weeks or so) but the beauty section rivalled my own experiences (as a female who has tried all sorts of tutorials for eyeliner and brows and always ends up sneezing immediately after applying mascara). Her attention to the differences between cats and dogs is just one of those observations about life that make sense. What I will say is that Brantz and I eat from the same food groups, cheese and wine always a winner.
This is a funny book and as a woman I can definitely relate!! It is literally crammed full of little anecdotes that all females can relate to for one reason or another. I wasn't a huge fan of the ones about seducing a man but the rest of them were good, they weren't side splittingly funny but I did enjoy them and its something I'd consider getting for a friend or as a secret santa gift at christmas- 4 stars
This book was great. I've seen snip-pits of this author's work before but never a compilation. Very enjoyable!
Fun and very relatable, this book was very easy and quick to read. A feel-good book.. 3.5*
First off, I love the illustrations in this book - they're simple but effective. They list all the things that I think every single woman can relate to if they're being honest with themselves.
It covers everything from socialising, romance and choosing food and sleep over either of the above. Things that I can totally relate to!
The best thing is that this book isn't just funny - it's so relateable that you have to wonder if there's a rule against sharing secret female information.
Love this cute web comic and am happy there is a collection out! She tells it like it is in the most hilarious way!
I adore these comic strips, but unfortunately I was not able to properly download the ARC. I will definitely be buying a copy when it's officially released.
When I pick up a short comic collection like this I want to really feel like I've gotten my money's worth. I want it to be something I can flip through time and again and still enjoy it. I want to laugh and laugh out loud. I want it to be so good that I feel compelled to grab the nearest person to me and force them to look upon the hilarious panels with me, so in essence I read them all through twice the first time.
These are pretty lofty demands, but with the right author it's done and done every time. Loryn Brantz is one such author! Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman was a pure delight to read. This is a collection that, as a woman, I could very easily relate to. I constantly found myself choking out an "OMG YES!" or a "That's so me!"
So, it's with zero reservations that I recommend this humorous look at womanhood.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this great advanced review opportunity.
Disclaimer: received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
Okay, this was cute. It wasn't anything new and most of it was meh, but some of it made me laugh (well, snort, it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, though) and I did take a picture of one image for future use (to send to my mom when I'm next on my period. Which might be TMI but hey, it's just true).
I thought I was going to rate this three stars, but the last 20/30 pages probably bumped it up to a four. As did the fact that the period panel said "not all women get periods," what also made me bump it was up the pitbull drawing of how people see pitbulls compared to how they really are. I'm not going to get into it, because it's something I'm super passionate about but - they're good dogs, but always ask first before petting dog (any dog, I've been warned not to pet tiny ones more then big ones).
Anyway, back on topic here. This was cute, fun. Reminded me of Hyberbole and a Half but lacked the serious notes, which is why it's not a five star, just cause nothing like hit me super hard and made me think 'me.' Though, I do like blanket cocoons. and sweatpants
This colorful comic is laugh at loud funny at many moments. Other moments left me wondering if some women actually do these things or if they are more for shock factor. I enjoyed my first dive in to Loryn Brantz, and I love how she uses her comic to highlight the humor, awkwardness, and beauty of being a lady.
I've been a fan of Loryn Brantz without realizing it for years. I've seen her illustrations everywhere, from Facebook to Buzzfeed. She always helps cast a comical light on everyday situations that have people of all ages and genders saying "Same."
Have you ever been to the Internet? If so, chances are you've seen one of Loryn Brantz's Jellybean Comics. They're everywhere for a reason: they're hilarious, spot-on, and a perfect description of my life. If you've ever wanted to tell your boss you couldn't come in because your bed's too warm, if you've ever felt like the chosen one when your cat sat on your lap, or if you've ever wanted to become a professional blanket burrito, then these comics are for you. Lady Stuff is a perfect pick-me-up if you're having a crappy day and need a good laugh.
I enjoyed this book a lot. So much, in fact, that I will get it for a friend.
It is a lovely, clever, and relateable piece of art that will make you smile a lot. I strongly recommend it.
This is a read for fans of Sarah's Scribbles. Great little comics that are entertaining and funny.
I really enjoyed reading this! I've been a fan of Loryn Brantz's comics since seeing them on Buzzfeed and whilst some of the comics in this were familiar, I enjoyed all the same. I did feel like some of the comics were based on things that I have seen other artists do, however enough of them were quirky and original enough for my overall enjoyment of the collection to not be impacted. A great book for a little pick me up!
I loved this comic! It is so full of true and insight comments about a ladies life with the humour that I need to overcome little annoyances in my day to day.
A very quick, fun and relatable read that will make you smile.
Pick it up and give it a read, it's a big thumbs up from me.
This is a fun little book. I enjoyed reading her observations on life and the drawings really added to it. I would definitely like to read more of this series. Nothing super insightful or deep for me, just a nice, happy book.
I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
I am quite new to the Comic/Graphic Novel scene and I enjoyed "Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman" by Loryn Brantz. The book is around 130 pages and I finished it in one go. The panels were colourful and adorable. It was very relatable to the stuff women do everyday- from looking like a panda after putting on too much eye makeup, cozying in the bed and skipping work, reaction to pets, funny eating habits to name a few. There were panels which made me laugh out loud and some that I felt were repetitive and some that did not get any reaction from me. Overall, it was a very nice, refreshing and light read.
I loved this a lot. Very relatable and laugh-out-loud funny the whole time. Fans of Sarah's Scribbles need to read.
Hahahaha. These are freaking hilarious. I have seen these little drawings before in memes online, but I never knew there existed out there in the world somewhere A WHOLE BOOK OF THEM!
I absolutely love them. The collection is awesome. It has a little bit of everything. It shows very realistic depictions of dating, work life, home life, life goals, dieting goals, etc. Haha. I love it.
There is one concerning your shoe making a fart noise that almost made me die because it applies to me so much. Another, concerning a cat on the lap also hit very close to home. There was also a ten step guide to how to drive your lover wild. That one was one of my absolute favorites.
Seeing another woman talking to your boyfriend vs. seeing another woman talking to your best friend is also quite hilarious and, dare I say, right on point. Haha.
Seriously, this little book just gave me all the giggles. I loved it.
Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman are little comics about Loryn Brantz’s everyday experiences. The comics are about animals, friends, love and naps.
Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman is such a funny, lighthearted read. I couldn't stop smiling while going through the comics. Some of them were so relatable and hilarious! I've seen some of Loryn Brantz's work on Facebook or Twitter, but never saw all of them. This collection is so funny and I'll definitely read it again!
Absolutely hilarious. Brantz has a talent for finding the funny in the inane and mundane.
Lady Stuff won me over with the cover. It got a slight chuckle out of me, and so I knew that I wanted to read it. Now… I’m not a lady, but I am married to one, and so I found this book to be quite amusing. It wasn’t exactly stuff I didn’t know about, but rather for me it was things I can relate to on the other side of the aisle.
The stories are all single page gags, which is to say that there are a setup and a punchline on each page. Sometimes it’s a quick joke, other times there’s a build up to the gag. Usually, when I read a collection of comic strips, there’s a point in which I become punch drunk, and the gags stop working and you have to wonder if there was just too many similar gags collected. Not the case here. I was surprised by how quickly I was able to read the entire book, but that I never got bored or found it repetitive. That’s a huge credit to creator Loryn Brantz because I have read too many collections that instantly became boring and repetitive. I wanted to finish reading Lady Stuff, rather than needing to finish it for this review.
The artwork has an intentionally simple style, which plays to the strength of the humor. The line work is clean with thick lines that give it a distinct style. There are some strips that are better illustrated than others which shows some gradual growth to the art. The strips are mostly in black and white with usually one or two colors to highlight a gag or give a quick background.
Lady Stuff may be geared primarily towards women, but if you’re in your thirties, you’ll find plenty to relate to, even more so if you’re married or have had a least one adult relationship. It’s a fast and enjoyable read.
I've seen Loryn Brantz's comics come across my Facebook and Tumblr feed on the regular, and every time they do I get a little giggle out of them. Loryn does a fantastic job of taking the thoughts that that run around in women's heads and plops them down on paper to hilarious effect.
This was a simple quick read that had me laughing out loud all the way through.
My only complaint is that I had seen quite a few of the panels before reading this collection, and I had not been a regular reader of hers. I imagine that if you were a fan it might be a little disappointing that there wasn't more content that was exclusive to this publication.
This is very funny and identifiable. I enjoyed it and see myself in a lot of these same situations.
Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman
by Loryn Brantz
I requested this book from NetGalley and the review is voluntary.
This book is so cute and funny and spot on! I can relate to soooo many things in this book, she is so talented! The art itself is hilarious! Make up, clothes, socializing, watching movies when an animal dies, and so much more! Too funny! Most things only us ladies would understand! Great job!
Loren Brantz is keeping this real from board books for feminist babies and now this phenomenal genuinely funny book for the grownups is guaranteed to get you grinning. We need more female positive and individuality embracing books like this.. Goodbye Cathy, hello Loryn!!!!!
This book is so relatable! I loved every single page. The artwork is so simple yet so effective, and the author is one of my favorite comic authors too. I've been following her on social media for some time now, and at every new sketch i'm never dissapointed! i highly reccomend this book, especially to women!
I love this comic on buzzfeed and this book doesn't fail to disappoint. It's funny and heartwarming. I can't wait to get a physical copy of this to enjoy the pictures again.
Absolutely hilarious! Reminded me of Sarah's Scribbles and definitely one I would recommend to a friend.
I love this comic. I've followed it online for a while so it's nice to have a bunch together in a book for anyone not familiar with it. It's funny and sooooo relatable to the women who read it.
I've forgotten several things about being a lady but I definitely related especially those awkward social occasions and wanting to stay home instead of going to work among many of the other things mentioned. I laughed so much. It made my day!
A book that reminded me of all the hilarious things we do when we are first learning about being a lady. So much of it is true though I would never admit to my friends. It's fun to see how seriously we can take the incidents that are taken so seriously. It's a fun book that I recommend to all females learning how to do lady stuff. After all it's good to be reminded how silly it can be. Enjoy!
If you like Sarah Andersen's work, you'll probably enjoy this volume by Loryn Brantz. Relatable and real, Brantz illustrates the struggles of being "female" in this compilation of one panel comics.
Highly relatable and made me laugh! Was a great break from the heavier books I read. Recommended to all the ladies out there. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC!
This graphic novel was hilarious, really enjoyed it. It was a quick and fun read and felt that most women will identify with it I know I did and felt that what it showed, at least for me how I feel sometimes. I do recommend it. Also thanks to Netgalley for the chance to get to read it ahead of time.
I have seen Loryn Brantz comics online before requesting this book from Netgalley and I can say, this book did not disappoint. I read it in my office over lunch and was laughing out loud like a lunatic alone in the room - people were giving me funny looks from the hallway and I didn't even care.
Lady Stuff is a hilarious compilation of comics about being a woman and the many facets of our lives - I particularly enjoy anything about autumn coming and freaking out about it, being antisocial and following your dreams of being a blanket burrito or being a professional napper. These comics all really spoke to me and I shared them with my officemate and my hubby and they chuckled while I was cry-laughing ...
If you have enjoyed Brantz comics online, you will love this book. It is fun, bright, and will make any day better by being honest. It was wonderful!
Review Live on Sept 26th
I've gotta tell ya, I love so much of what Andrews McMeel publishes.
But I've also gotta tell ya, the first chapter of this comics collection almost turned me off.
Brantz is another new-to-me illustrator. I requested to review this copy because it looked like it would be wittily snarky and relatable. But the first chapter, Grooming and Habitat Maintenance, honestly, almost made me put the book down. Though there were a couple of funny panels, the humor felt like a safe, 80's, Cathy comics sort of thing (okay, it make me think of a Kathy Griffin-like hey, isn't it so hard being a woman, what with boobs and all? --- I'm not a K.G. fan, obviously, though based on recent news, looks like maybe her stuff has improved!). But I kept reading and was rewarded with more relatable content, and ended up quite happy.
That last one? I've done that last one! Within the last week!
I ended up enjoying this one so much. Brantz is delightfully strong in translating passing thoughts and actions that we all do all the time but would have difficulty explaining to someone. If you like Hyperbole and a Half or Sarah Andersen, I feel confident you'll like Brantz.
Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman will be released Tuesday, September 26th.
Loryn Brantz is hilarious! She never fails to make me laugh. her comics are relatable and enjoyable. A great, quick read!
This book features several short stories.
The art's simple, it reminded me of Sarah's Scribbles.
The stories are bits of a woman's life senn in a diferent light, making the protagonist's struggles relatable.
Overall, this is a fun short boook that you should read if you like Sarah's Scribbles.
Lady Stuff is a quick, cute and relatable coffee table book. If you've spent time on the internet, you're probably familiar with a lot of the jokes, but they're still enjoyable here collected into one volume.
I am kind of a sucker for this style of comics. See also: Sarah Scribbles. Funny women writing and drawing relatable comics is definitely what I'm here for.
And these are pretty freaking fantastic.
A quick, easy, and very funny read. Worth your time if you enjoy this style.
This is really good, funny, and relateable comics for a quick read!
I love this funny-comic-cartoons. This particular book, I had seen a lot of the cartoons inside on Buzzfeed and stuff, but it was really enjoyable to read through this book. Its short - it took me about 20 minutes to get through. The artwork is really nice, its funny, and its really relatable. (Save for one cartoon that was more cringe-y than funny...)
I recommend it!
Everyone has probably seen this artist's work online and having it collected in one book is even better. Yes, women will identify with these scenarios a little more than men, but everyone will get a bit of a laugh out of something. A fun, quick read to put a smile on your face.
As a devoted Loryn Brantz follower on Instagram, I was so excited to see this book available as an ARC. Readers familiar with her work may find this book a bit of deja vu as there are a lot of repeats, but personally I am happy to see her best work all put together in one place, and in thematic order! The author has a magical way of hitting the nail on the head of what the small (and humorous) trials and tribulations of womanhood are like and this is sure to make you smile. I think this would make an EXCELLENT and unique coffee table book.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2130290339
I LOVED THIS. I've never followed this comic before, but it is TOO RELATABLE. I'd say about 90% of them had me like, YEP, ME AF. If you want a quick read that'll make you giggle, pick this one up for sure!
Treat to read!! Hilarious, extremely relatable and succinct! Perfect for getting you out of a reading slump or a quick read, hence, perfect for me! The concept was amazing, and I liked how the comic was divided into sections - made it much more organized. The artwork incorporated the writer's ideas perfectly and were executed in the best possible way.
Shout out to the title, it completely won me over, because I'm a lady! I do stuff! Obviously, I should be able to relate to this book on a personal level because of that, right? And surprisingly enough, I was able to relate.
I laughed out loud and really enjoyed reading this light-hearted unicorn of a book!
This book is about the daily life of a woman. It ranges from mating habits to social conduct and it was really funny to read.
I already knew some of her work but almost none were featured in this graphic novel, making its content fresh.
The drawing style is inevitably funny and I found myself laughing out loud in some pages.
It’s a fast read that I recommend.
