This is a really cute and funny book for women in their twenties and thirties. I was laughing out loud. It was realtable and true which makes it that much better. I want to buy a copy for all my friends.
Super funny and relatable. I will recommend it to everyone!
Thank you Netgalley for this book.
This was quite hilarious and is truly very relatable to women! The pictures, well the woman's facial expressions are so funny. She even gets the "like a boss" expression.
I loved this book! I always laughed when I saw memes by this author, but I had never sat down and read a chunk of her work before. The book was simple and hilarious. The art style was consistent, easy to follow, and not overly done (don't get me wrong, gorgeous art is gorgeous). The content fit my life despite not being a lady. There were so many comics about being an introvert and loving dogs that I could easily relate.
Somewhat reminiscent of the Sarah's Scribbles strip, this collection by Loryn Brantz deals with many everyday funnies in the life of an American woman. Enjoyable, but not hilarious. There was one series of strips about using guacamole as a prop in intimate settings -- if the idea of that makes you giggle, this book is for you. ;-)
I saw a few of this comics on tumblr, instagram and all the internet, but I'm not exactly a huge fan os this specific cartoonist. Her style is cute but it hadn't a big impact on me.
This compilation showed me why, This comic is for a very specific public: a very femenine one. All the ironic jokes about make up and whatnot where lost on me because I'm no very huge fan in using make on myself. I do like watching makeup tutorials but I don't know anything about it to be honest. The only comics I could relate were the ones about being socially awkward and the ones about food.
A big part of this comic is about being a very femenine woman, wihch sadly I'm not. I did get some of the jokes, but there were a lot I just couldn't relate and it was a lit bit hard for me to enjoy it.
(i post a link of my review when goes live)
Cute, relatable and hilarious! I love how the format is really simple so it easy to grab but tell more! Recommended when you want to have fun quick read !
Have been following her work online for a long time now. Everyday nuances with the right amount of sass! Love it.
cute and relatable, really enjoyable and funny. definitely recommend, more as a kind of skim through for a few minutes book vs sit down and read if that makes sense. a good coffee table book or gift for a friend who doesn't like to read that much.
Loryn Brantz gives a humorous look into the life of women in a whimsical comic collection sure to put a smile on your face.
I enjoyed this book for the most part. I enjoy seeing my world come alive in comic form and knowing I am not alone. I did identify with about half the comics but the 10 Mating Ritual could have been left out. The reason I only gave it three stars is because it is just an echo of Sarah's Scribbles and Lady Stuff doesn't measure up to those comics.
Relatable and fun. I'll be telling friends and fans of Hannah Hillam and Sarah Anderson to pick up this book.
I screencapped so many of these cartoons to text to a friend while I was a reading this because it’s so relatable. Anyone who has ever been on the internet has likely seen one of Loren Brantz’ cartoons passed around and this book is a great collection of her work. Funny and relatable, it’s a superfast read (as books with comics, drawings and the like usually are, it took me less than 30 minutes) and may make a nice little gift for a pick-me-up for a friend, sister, or woman in your life. Not all of the cartoons are original thoughts (eyemakeup = accidental panda, for example), but even those are still humorous. The illustrations themselves are consistent and well done with lots of bright colors that highlights the energy and humor of each piece. My only complaint is that it may be a little too short. With the speed and vastness of popular things like this like online, there were quite a few that were already floating around. If not the exact same ones, then the same idea. It would have been nice to see some original-for-the-book content, but it’s still a good collection.
Disclaimer: I received a free advanced copy from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Buying clothes: Panel 1: Wow, this shirt looks great on me. Panel 2: I'll take one in every color. #thatlldo @LorynBrantz. #thatlldo
Absolutely brilliant. Laugh out loud funny, touching and oh so relatable in so many ways.
I really love comics like this that are directed towards women; however, I was a little disappointed with this selection. Yes, I could identify with a lot of the cartoons, but I also didn't read or see anything that I haven't seen joked about a million times before, often in more creative ways. I'm absolutely all for supporting women comics, but I don't think I would recommend this particular book or buy it for someone when you can find funnier stuff in the same vein all over the Internet. What is the book adding to the conversation? I'm not quite sure.
Lots of fun one page comics that illustrate everyday life for a woman. It is so everyday life, that she could have been writing about me or any friend. A great fun short read.

Also showed me i have been going about seduction all wrong,my eye have been opened !
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone (not just females).
Not the best I read recently but pretty funny all the same; It's not all about being women but it can give men a good insider view of what the fuss is all about :)
Non il miglior fumetto sull'argomento letto di recente ma anche se non é tutto sulle donne, puó dare agli uomini un buon spaccato di cosa possa significare :)
THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!
I was only supposed to check out the first few pages but fast forward 30 mins, I've now completed the book. This is just one of those books that are so fun and easy to read that you simply cannot put them down until you're done with them. Which is definitely a plus point for me!
A lot of the illustrations in this book are cute and funny scenarios that most of us will probably be able to relate with. While I did find a few of them quite repetitive, overall I found this collection very enjoyable. And there are a lot of illustrations here that will definitely get a chuckle out of you.
Grabbed this one from Netgalley, because I'd seen a comic or two by the author so I figured it would be a pretty good one and suited to my mood at the time.
It was good/funny, but it also seemed really short. I think I expected more content to be found in a "book" of comics. Especially comics that are a panel or two long each and not extremely detailed. It took me around 10-15 mins to read, and that was partially due to the fact that I was watching my bff's baby who kept whacking her own bottle out of her mouth, making herself mad that she didn't have the bottle in her mouth any more, and necessitating my putting the book aside to remedy the situation repeatedly.
Definitely would have been rated higher had there been more content. Not really worth the current prices, in my opinion. ($9.99 kindle/comixology and $13.49 paperback).
