I love heart and brain! The Awkward Yeti is another one of those comics that really shows the situations of life in a way that is humorous, heartfelt and real.
I have seen many of these on tumblr before (likely about half) however I still really enjoyed this book. So much good stuff in here! Many of the comics speak to me on a deeply personal level.
Teeheehee! I really enjoyed this collection of fun illustrations showing the colourful inner lives of internal organs.
I particularly liked the fun and non-judgemental references to anxiety and an overwhelming apathy towards exercise. Both things that I really relate to!
Get yourself a copy of this book when it's released, stick it in your bathroom and you need never take your phone to the loo with you again...
I adore Heart and Brain, and this third book is better than ever. Nick Seluk certainly has his finger on the pulse of day to day life for so many! The truth in each comic is what draws me back each time and makes each illustration worth reading. His art makes you feel like you aren't alone in your struggles, even the most mundane day to day things, reassuring you that we're all not so different after all.
Loved this one! Fun graphic that completely captures the inner struggles of your brain and heart (as well as your gut and some other organs), that often tell you conflicting information.... with some hilarious results.
I received this book from Netgally in exchange for an honest review.
This was quite hilarious, relatable and amusing.
Highly recommend.
My favorite Heart and Brain compilation so far from Awkward Yeti! It even had some strips I had not read before! Plus it features a lot of appearances by the other organs.
I have been following The Awkward Yeti on Instagram for a year...years...I don't know but its been a long time and I love his Heart and Brain comics. They are witty, ridiculously adorable, and funny! Sometimes even laugh out loud, crying funny!
This book seemed to revolve a lot around health, exercise, and anxiety, and I loved that Gallbladder made an appearance!! <3
Definitely one of my fave comic artists!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the book in exchange for an honest review.
This was hilarious. I read it on my way to university and I just couldn't stop laughing.
Please, I want more of this, keep them coming.
The Awkward Yeti, you got me hooked.
I strongly recommend it for anyone who needs a good laugh, you won't regret it, I promise.
The Awkward Yeti may very well be my favorite online comic. This newest collection will make awesome holiday presents for any of your friends that feel the same way. The daily battle between our hearts and our brains is perfectly depicted. So happy I got a chance to review this.
I've loved this comic for over a year and this book doesn't disappoint. Relatable and still completely funny. This book manages to make you laugh out loud but also feel warm and fuzzy. A perfect book to give a friend or yourself for a little pick me up.
Like a couple of other books I've read lately, this book is a collection of short comic strips evolving around a specific cast of characters. The characters in this case are body organs. I found these to be mildly entertaining with only a few being LOL worthy. One aspect I love is the illustration style. The art fits the content perfectly.
Laughed at some of the comics in the book because they so relatable and true presented in a funny way. Totally recommend this to people who want to have a quick and fun read.
Every page feel hilarious and relatable 😂😂 I can't help smile and laugh! Love it!
Funny, real, & relatable. I enjoy the book so much. It makes me laugh all the time!
Thank you Netgalley for this book.
With each book that comes out I find more people to buy it who laugh real hard and have at least one page (if not the whole book) where they sympathize with the characters involved. I think this is my favorite collection of the heart and brain comics so far. Can't wait to put it in the hands of buyers.
Though overall fun, I felt like it re-used jokes too many times and also failed to deliver laughs with any notable consistency. I've enjoyed the random Heart and Brain strips I've seen online for the past several years, but only a handful of these seemed to stand up as well as those other strips (that are probably in the first couple Heart and Brain collections).
Witty and smart. The Awkward Yeti is heavily relate-able! Would definitely get hands on the hardcopy on release.
I love how i can relate to brain, that anxiety bussines is way too real. I love how sometimes is dark and funny, and others are just good messages for when you have one those days when everything just seem awful.
