Great way to see some new authors and pick out something that grabs your attention
I love that these are now monthly instead of quarterly. Even though I am a book blogger its hard to keep track of what is coming out and when so this is a perfect resource tool to have plus you get snippets of the upcoming books which i always love to read,. Many hidden jewels within the book each month
just a great service and review of some exciting books to look forward to
I always enjoy these samplers. After reading through this one, I'm particularly excited about the new Marieke Nijkamp - BEFORE I LET GO. The opening pages were gripping and the voice was strong. And I was a fan of Nijkamp's previous work.
I was also interested in Sara Holland's EVERLESS. I've seen this book around and the excerpt made me intrigued to read more. The premise sounds fascinating.
Finally, I was glad to see an excerpt of THE IMMORTALIST - I will be interested in picking this one up when it comes out on the shelves!
This was incredibly informative and detailed, listing the new releases of January 2018 by genre and date. I saw a lot of books I had my eye on, some of them being sequels to book series that are coming out soon. The excerpts are a great perk that gives the reader a sneak peak of some new releases. I was personally mostly intrigued by The Immortalists and The Black Painting.
I look forward to the monthly sampling of new literary works. It definitely help select books for review.
I always find something I want to read in full from the pages of this sampler. I always look forward to downloading the next copy..
Yet again a great informative Buzz Books read! I love getting these each month but the YA ones are my particular favourite. I wish that I could subscribe to these each month and they automatically get sent to me instead of me having to request - makes me sound lazy though!!!
I thank you for the advance reading list that is in this book. Should we give feedback?
Bring on January!!! All but one of these books have climbed onto my to be read list. Excited for the new year and these new reads!
Another excellent edition of Buzz Books with excerpts from some fabulous upcoming books. I never miss an edition of this catalogue, and you shouldn't either!
Great resource for book lovers including titles, dates and excepts for upcoming releases.
To all netgalley reviewers this monthly buzz book was an eye opener. The trouble is if you love books there is a real danger you’ll like and want all the books previewed and introduced here.
I already had one book chosen and the passage I read only whetted my appitite further and I can not wait.
I love Buzz Books. I think it is a great way for book lovers to find new books to read, discover new authors.
The monthly version was a lot of lists. Still interesting, but honestly I ended up skipping the last couple. Too many lists for me. I would have preferred less of them, but more details and summaries to the books.
I love the excerpt section, as always. And there are several books that I am anticipating to read now.
I personally might prefer the seasonal buzz- then again so many good books, so probably going to check out the February BB or other monthly issues as well.
This is such a helpful resource for readers like me who can't wait to find out what books are coming out soon. Very comprehensive.
Helpful and gave me ideas for my blog,,
Now I am preparing for the first month of next year,,
I am preparing what I am going to read.
Really great excerpts, I'm excited for the new releases!
These selections are always great, but I feel like this one stood out even from the other Buzz Books I've read - I didn't have many books for next year that I was excited about yet, but now I definitely do! The option to request/read straight from the excerpt is always appreciated, too.
Such fantastic excerpts!! Can't wait for the books to be released.
Oh, yes, this was good. Individual thoughts on each chapter below:
The Immortalists— this one has been on my list forever and sounds supremely exciting. loved the writing and nostalgic tone.
The Black Painting— I feel as if I should've liked this more than I did. A full read-through would definitely give me firmer opinions, but I honestly don't think I'll bother; I'm super picky with my adult thrillers.
The Woman in the Window— first of all, what. and second of all, where can I buy this? that was such a well-written first chapter and I'm adding to my list immediately.
The Girlfriend— this one could be good, but honestly, nothing about this opening really grabbed me. Feels more domestic drama than thriller, somehow, although perhaps I'm wrong.
Everything Here is Beautiful— this was definitely intriguing, although I'm unsure if it's something I plan on picking up myself.
Before I Let Go— I actually skipped this one as I've already read it. While I adored Nijkamp's debut, this book was a big disappointment and felt very emotionally manipulative.
Everless— Made me even more excited for the release than I was before. Damn, this read so well.
