This book is loaded with tons of great information. I love that it has some of the basic moves to get you to those advanced moves. I also love the whole rank of Good, Better and masterer so you know your skill level.
This is one of those books that would make a great gift for that fitness buddy of yours.
The book mentios that very little equipment is required, but some moves do require bars and other gym equipment, but for the most part these are moves you can do outside at a park or playground.

I LOVE CALISTHENICS, BUT MY GOD IS IT HARD! I gave some of these workouts a go, because I've been meaning to try out this workkout form, and it was not easy. I loved how this book provided such helpful information about the workouts, the equipment, warm-ups, and most imprtantly recovery techniques. I found this to be a great guide into a new training style and i would recommend this to anyone looking for a good guide. I do warn that you pace yourself and really heed the warnings Tee Major gives because its easy to hurt yourself if you're not careful enough. Five stars all around!

I love books like this simply because I love to experiment with a variety of workouts that other people have designed. This book is all about bodyweight training and gives different variations on exercises like pushups and pull-ups. It also touches on the importance of nutrition with some helpful tips on eating healthy. The full color photos were well done so the reader can get a step by step understanding of what to do. Some of the exercises even had modifications. I think the majority of these exercises are for people who have been working out for awhile and whose muscles and joints have been acclimated to correct movements. Bodyweight training is great but can be even more challenging that outside resistance.
Thank you to Netgalley, Tee Major, and Alpha Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is an excellent for both those just getting started in body weight training and those looking for an addition to their routine. the pictures are beautiful, the descriptions are easy to follow. Its a bit light on explaining the workouts it provides-who should use it, when, but it does an excellent job of categorizing movements by type, area of the body worked as well as how difficult it it. There's also a couple pages of inspiration for self improvement, including a great introduction to the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen and how to apply it to fitness.

Lots of good ideas and information here but a rehash, nothing real new if you follow the body weight world of exercise. If your are new to it then this is the book for you
