A good book for those who are baffled by dome of the current tech speak. Good visuals to help with understanding
Still not as entertaining as the one on philosophy, but this book really made me think about some ideas about the future which really emphasizes the "thought-provoking" in the tittle.
Get Technology is great for everyone who is a little lost regarding all these new things that appaer everything on TV. But for me, it wasn't anything new. Although It was good, I wasn't hooked. I guess I didn't particulary like the writing style
These are thought-provoking issues for students to consider, and are interesting because it concerns their future. Older students will need less explanation than younger students.
Get Technology, explores twenty technologies from the basics to applications to everyday life. The topics cover a wide spectrum from Virtual Reality to Artificial Intelligence. This series is written to provide a framework for learning and includes additional materials. I appreciated the tone, I am familiar with the concepts included in this slim volume, and it isn't pedantic or simplistic in its explanations. The supporting materials surprised me as they are not limited to non-fiction, but include novels, film, and activities all chosen to better understand the concepts.
