This was such a funny and cute collection of shorts! The art style is absolutely adorable and does a great job capturing facial expressions. Anyone who has been in a long term relationship will likely find much in common with Catana and her boyfriend's exchanges. There is so much humor and warmth in LITTLE MOMENTS OF LOVE that I can easily see myself rereading it for a comfort read.

This was the best cure of a bad mood and reading slump. I've read some snippets of the web comic here and there, but this was just great. I hope we get another one of these

This is just so sweet. I really loved it. There is something here for everybody. It portrayed real life and you would have to have a heart of stone and be void of humour entirely not to laugh at some of the drawings that have existed in each and every one of our relationships. I definitely think it deserves the Goodreads Graphic Novel award that it won, I've never read anything like this before and while it's not something I'd usually gravitate towards in the book shop I definitely would read more like it again in the future. It was clever, and witty and well thought out. It was highly entertaining and I found myself sharing so much of it while I read.

I don't know why I took so long to get to the feedback but as always, I love Catana's comics. I'll admit they are not for days when you've gone through a break-up or a date gone sour, because that pinches a bit. But just like Debbie Tung's books, Little Moments of love is also adorable. It is a very wholesome and happy book. When I'm in a healthy and happy relationship, this definitely goes on my coffee table haha.

On a serious note, though, I think it is a very hard to find a balance between cheesy and cute, but Catana nails it!

I love buying books like this. I share your comics digitally with my husband on a regular bases. I think it's a sweet Valentine's day, anniversay, or just because gift. There is a market for this and I hope you publish another addition.

This book features short comic strips about the daily life of a couple.
I had known the author for some time but had never read anything especifically from her page, just small strips scattered here and there. I’m glad I picked up this book, though.
The artstyle was simple and the stories were very cute.
I recommend it.

LITTLE MOMENTS OF LOVE
Written and Illustrated by Catana Chetwynd
2018; Andrews McMeel Publishing (160 pages)
Genre: humour, comics, dating

(Review Not on Blog)

RATING: 3.5 STARS

I came across this comic on my Facebook feed and instantly started to follow the author. I know just follow on my Instagram. I enjoy the comic as I can relate to Catana and her relationship with John. Also, the sweetness is nice as you see that less in comics these days. While I enjoyed the book, I had seen a majority of them before online. And in a book format, it wasn't as fun as reading them one a day online.

***I received an eARC from NETGALLEY***

Catana’s comics are based on her relationship with her partner John. In the introduction Catana explains, “wow, we have a weird relationship, if other people saw what we do it would be odd and embarrassing. Have you ever looked at your significant other and thought – Well, that’s what we thought too, before the comics began,”
The situations in the comics range from intimacy (wanting to touch your partner’s butt, borrowing their clothes etc.) to all the comfy parts of being in a long term relationship (choosing to stay in on a Friday night instead of going out, laying around the house in your pants etc.)
I’m sure many people will be able to relate to these comics. My favourite is the comic where he asks if she wants to finish his sandwich and she takes no time in taking the sandwich off of him. (I’m always hoovering up my partner’s leftovers!)
Little Moments of Love is a cute book, unbearably so at times (can there ever be too much cheese?)
It would make a great coffee table book, or if you’re looking for a gift for your significant other.

Little Moments of Love, is so beautifully and hilariously depicted of a relationship. I was able to finish this in one sitting.

'Little Moments of Love' by Catana Chetwynd is about a couple in love. It is so sweet that it may give the reader a few cavities just by looking through it.

It all started as some doodles and ended up making it's way to the internet where people seem to love it. Catana and John have one of those lovey-dovey relationships where they snuggle a lot and she wears his shirts, and they watch Netflix on the couch together. He is tall and bearded. She is not. There are jokes about those things also.

The illustrations are kind of basic, but still endearing. There are lots of hearts. Lots. It's a really sweet collection of cartoons, and I had a good time reading it.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

I've always loved illustrations by Catana (or memes to be exact.) They are the perfect comics describing a relationship between two people who really love one another. Catana's characters are so adorable and the comics overall was very good and nicely developed.

Very cute illustrations but falls flat in my opinion. It was overly shmaltzy without being heartwarming, inspiring, or funny.

I have enjoyed these comics online and was pleasantly surprised to see them come together as a book. I think it was very straightforward, however it did not feel like there was a vast majority of new content. It is best for new readers and as a gift for fans.

SO SWEET.
Normally I hate cheesy and extremely happy couples and everytime I see them I can't avoid rolling my eyes. UGH. But this couple was soooooo cute. *Hope they are still together*.
Anyways, I really liked this comics even though I've never been in love like that. Some situations were funny and I was REALLY entertained while reading the book. I am sure I have already seen some comics somewhere(Instagram, Facebook, maybe?)...but I still enjoyed them.
The illustrations were so simple but so beautiful, a proof that you don't need to know a lot about art to make a comic book. You just need to have a story to tell :).

Ahhhh, to be young and freshly in love, without all the grunt work that comes with the middle age slog. Comics that'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but, ultimately, after putting the book down, it's a pretty fleeting feeling. But, for those few moments of warmth down in my cockles, it was worth a Netgalley request.

Follow this comic online and find it not just delightful in it's simple structure but also hugely relatable.
If you're a living adult human that's so-navigated with another adult human, many of these will feel lifted right out of your day to day.

This has been developed by a woman obviously in love with her boyfriend.. Cozy read for winter nights. Graphics are very nice.

This was a super cute book. I really enjoyed it. I see so much of my husband and I in the book. It was great and I hope there will be more books.

The art style is quirky and cute. I think it suited the tone of the collection perfectly, and added humour to the dialogue and prose. The subtle changes in facial expression hold a lot of meaning. Most of the panels are black and white. But every now and then, there’s a touch of colour to highlight an item or feeling. I like how these subtle changes have deep meaning.

Each comic in the collection are sweet and funny. They’re suggestive. Lovely. Hilarious. They feel so real and honest. It exposes how odd people are when they’re around people they love and feel completely comfortable with. Catana is hilarious and it’s adorable how much she loves her boyfriend. It rubbed me the wrong way sometimes, to see Catana so openly affectionate and her boyfriend more stoic. But these moments didn’t detract too much from my enjoyment of the novel.

"Little Moments of Love" is so cute! I loved the art style, and I found most of the comics to be hilarious and sweet.
