I was given this ARC for an honest opinion.
I rate this book 3.5 stars. In a short review This book was about two opposite people who are attracted to each other when they first meet freshmen year of high school but take no action till graduation day. I liked the way the book was written and where it went but what I didn’t like is that the other character’s story endings were already told. This makes me not want to pick up the other books.

Cute and fast paced story!I liked the story but I felt like it dragged on and on with why they shouldn’t make the next step. This make me to not enjoy it as much as I wanted!Overall, if you are looking for a sweet and quick read it will be good to try it!

Finally Jade and Lennon’s story is here! I calmly sat down to read this one, with a cup of hot tea. The hours flew by and before I knew it I was done. So much fun! Who doesn’t love a love story where both of the characters secretly like each other, they are opposites and where they are perfect for each other.

Lennon is a rock star, with a big fat puffy heart. He is adorable and I felt horrible when he is encouraged not to mess with Jade. I understand the rationale behind it but come on. I love how ambitious and focus he is on his music career which is a good thing but I did think he was making a mistake but not having a back-up plan. The fact that he keeps seeking her out, every week just made me swoon. Plus, their cute nicknames for each other yeah my heart was a puddle.

I adore Jade, her ability with numbers a gift and her secret an even greater gift. I loved that Lennon knew about her secret and was silently supporting her the entire time. The fact that her mother did not encourage her made me want to punch her in the face. What kinda parent does that?

Both characters have some adult decisions to make. And while they don’t have to be made right that minute, they had to be made soon enough to matter.

Love Beyond Opposites is an adorable read about a boy who has a crush on a girl. A girl who understands her potential and who believes in a guy. I loved the dual points of view and hated when Lennon made a stupid mistake. A sweet story that makes you believe in the power of opposites.

My Rating 5 out of 5 stars

This was an interesting and intriguing take on the popular kid falling for the underdog trope. I enjoyed the story itself, as I found it cute and sweet. It works well as a standalone up until near the end. Things got a little confusing as I hadn't read the previous books, but it all tied in together nicely with the really sweet epilogue.

This is a book most YA fans would enjoy.

I had not read any of the other books in this series. It is a stand alone story. I like the idea of a series of separate stories that center around a party after graduation. I could tell by the epilogue that all the characters in the novels were connected through friendship. This was a cute story and I recommend if you enjoy light YA contemporary romance.

Love Beyond Opposites stole my heart and ran away with it. It tells a cute, romantic story that made my blood thicken like honey with its sweetness. I loved it.

Jade and Lennon have been… acquaintances since freshman year, since Lennon’s dad—and Jade’s mathlete coach—tells him to stay away, yet Lennon just decides to keep a healthy distance.

This book is so cliché I love it. It’s a simple rock star/nerd(ish) love story and I can’t even with how amazing it is. I feel like there’s not a lot I can say since my brain can only put together “it’s so freaking cute” and “I loved it”…. because it’s so freaking cute and I loved it. Jade and Lennon, as characters, have good substance, as high school seniors I could relate to some of their struggles or get excited about their future. I really enjoyed being able to do that, it’s something I find very special.

Jade is such a cool character because she’s a math goddess, it comes naturally to her, it’s what she’s good at, yet her heart is in the arts. Something her mom doesn’t approve of, but Jade is not giving up just yet.

Lennon stole my heart. Oh surprise. He’s such a gentleman yet he has this edgy rock star side. He’s locally famous and going on tour, what else could you ask for? If you were his parents, you’d be asking for a degree since touring is only for the summer and we don’t know what the future holds. And it makes sense, but Lennon has a true gift and passion for what he does. To wrap it all up, what are you waiting for to read this book? Go. Now. Read it. Love it. It’ll love you back.

I freaking loved this book. I had been searching for a "different" type of book and I've finally definitely found that! This is my first book to read by this author. It is the third in her Grad Series, but they’re all stand alone novels. But I'm definitely going to pick up the first two!
This is one of the sweetest coming of age love stories I've ever read. It's a sweet story about crushes, growing up, following your dreams and learning to trust in yourself. Jade and Lennon are soo adorable omg~
Eee! I can't wait to read more from Molly E. Lee! I highly recommend it!

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book and chose to review it. This in no way impacts my opinion.

I seriously love this series and this night. I love the idea of a promise of hope and something more in the future that is given because it is the "last night" for anything to happen since it's grad night. I really enjoyed Jade and Lennon's story and the way they fell into one another. If you're looking for a cute contemporary novel, this is the one for you.

I liked that both Jade and Lennon were more than just their stereotype and that they both played up the aspects of the stereotype for each other. Every time they called each other "rockstar" and "mathlete" I swooned. They were so good for one another and I just loved it. Mostly my thoughts were "alshdlahsdljjslk."

The only downside was that it felt like this one was a bit rushed since we had seen some of the aspects of it in the other novels in the series. I thought that it could have been expanded a bit in certain spots to flesh out the relationship a bit more between our two main characters and their friends. But if that's my only complaint then I'm very happy.

Overall if you are a fan of cute contemporary novels, epic confessions of feelings, and the promise of summer love that can turn into something more, LOVE BEYOND OPPOSITES is the book for you! But really, I hope you pick up ALL of the Grad Night series. All of it.

Love Beyond Opposites is a fitting series finale!

Told from the alternating perspectives of Lennon (future rock star and host of the epic lake grad night party at which a good chunk of the series drama happens) and Jade (aspiring graphic novelist and mathlete), Opposites gives us yet another look at what was going on behind the scenes at the party of the year. Once again the story takes place concurrently with the other two books and could be read as a standalone, though the epilogue features all of the series main characters--seven months later--and therefore will have a bit more meaning for those who've read all three.

Still, if you're starting with this one? Not exactly a hardship. ;)

Once again Ms. Lee has given us two MCs here who are easy to root for, the rock star and the mathlete who have harbored secret crushes on each other all through high school and who actually have way more in common than they appear to at first glance. Their grad night experience is truly epic, including some light B&E and near death by turkey and possibly even a minor run-in with the law. As fun as it was to read, I'm super glad most of my nights don't involve a tenth of the drama as this one did!

As much as I enjoyed the grand gesture here, I do have to admit that solving their problems seemed a bit too easy--seven months in and everything is all hunky-dory for them (not that they don't deserve it, but still...) I also have to wonder at the chances that all of their respective colleges will have spring break at exactly the same time...? Still, this series was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to see what Ms. Lee has in store for us next.

Molly E. Lee is a new-to-me author, which means I read the third installment of the Grad Night series as a standalone, with no confusion at all. I am beyond curious to read the first two installments and others by this author.

The events of Love Beyond Opposites takes place within a singular night, with a prologue and an epilogue set during freshman year in high school and freshman year in college.

Teenagers believe girlfriend and boyfriend means someone you think is hot that you go on dates with, not realizing there is a more important part of that compound word, other than girl or boy... friend.

The Rock Star & the Mathlete.

Lennon spent the whole of his high school career avoiding the girl he truly wanted, fearing he'd hurt her when he reached for rock-stardom. He fell into the trap of how a rock star should/would behave/act/react, instead of being himself, which only made him all the more of a broody heartthrob.

Jade is the quintessential geeky, awkward, one-of-a-kind girl. Born with the gift of numbers, the mathlete has a creative streak for illustration, particularly for graphic novels.

Both of them feeling pressure to fit into the boxes their parents try to fit them into, over their high school career, the math teacher's son and the math teacher's best student bonded, becoming friends over interactions three times a week, while ignoring their attraction.

A series of calamities on graduation night draws Lennon and Jade closer together, in a yummy, angsty page-turner of a novella, which I devoured in a single sitting.

Highly recommend to young adults and those young at heart, looking for an injection of the addictively sweet rush of first love.

Young Adult age-range: 12+, includes kissing, alcohol use not by the MCs, and profanity.

M/F YA Romance

This is the third in a series, but can be read as a standalone. It's a sweet story about crushes, growing up, following your dreams, and learning to trust in yourself.

Jade is a shy nerd who is amazing with numbers. Her parents have worked incredibly hard to show her that their occupations are exactly where she needs to end up. Her mom is pushy and almost cruel at times and I really didn't like it at all. I thought that her dad was not a strong enough character to stand up to his own wife. Jade is trying very hard to please everyone around her – her teachers and parents – that she is losing sight of what makes her want to get up and get going every day.

Then you have Lennon. He wasn't ever a big brain. His dad is a teacher at the local high school and is head of the mathlete division – which means that Lennon gets to see Jade every week. What starts as a crush blossoms into songs and feelings that were long buried. Lennon is also trying to figure out what is the most important to him – his music or following his dreams – the big question becomes can he have it all?

These two have an epic night together with one mishap after another. It's a story that takes place over the course of one night but is so packed with emotions and events that it feels longer. I think that this was a great story, but more geared towards teenagers.

I do wish we would have had more time with them in the epilogue but know that you can only do so much in the pages. It was a story that was sweet and innocent, but packed a lot in to it.

Young adult novel about a hopeful, upcoming rock star and a super geeky mathlete. Jade and Lennon got to know each other from school and Jade's math club taught by Lennon's dad, the professor. Lennon has a one-track mind for his future. He wants to play music and college can wait. Jade is a genius in math and pressures by her parents to go that route are high, when all she wants to do is draw graphic novels. Lennon's dad asked him to leave Jade alone because Jade isn't the love ‘em and leave ‘em girl and Lennon isn't sticking around after graduation. The two are friends but they want to be more. Graduation night they end up on several crazy adventures together, all leading up to Lennon's showcase with the record executive at his huge party. All kinds of sidetracks ensue and while it's a fun night, I found the story to get a little monotonous. By 60% in, still nothing has really evolved between the characters or in getting Lennon to the party. I ended up getting "skimmy" on reading every word. Flash forward, a good story with a good ending and fun side characters. Just wanted the middle to move a bit faster, even for a novella.

Love Beyond Opposites is the third book in Molly E. Lee's Grad Night series, but I read it as a standalone and I had no issues following the storyline. I really enjoyed Jade's character and I thought she was fun, relatable, and I especially loved that she was not only incredible with numbers, but that she was also talented in a more artistic way. Although I am usually a huge sucker for the whole opposites attract love stories, I wasn't as sold on Love Beyond Opposites as I thought I would be. It's not that I disliked Lee's book by any means, however, I just felt it was a little drawn out at some parts and most of those parts tended to be during Lennon's point of view. Honestly, I usually really enjoy it when authors write with a dual point of view because I think it tends to give more of a big picture view, but in this situation, I almost wish it was more of just Jade. Maybe if I had read the previous two books in the series I would have developed more of an appreciation for Lennon?

Jade Aaron, the mathlete, and Lennon Pryor, the rock star, have been dancing around each other since their freshman year, but that all changes on graduation night when a series of events leads to Jade and Lennon spending the evening together. As the night progresses, one bold action leads to a reckless kiss, but a rock star falling for a mathlete just doesn't add up.

I liked reading Jade and Lennon's love story, however it just didn't quite end up being my perfect equation. That being said, I still liked Lee's writing style and I would be interested in reading what she does in the future!

3 stars for Molly E. Lee's Love Beyond Opposites.

3.5 Cute Stars 🌟🌟🌟.5

If I were a teenage girl this would be my ultimate fantasy grad night.... apparently this is the third book in the series, although it can be read as a standalone.... The books all take place during the same timeframe, but from the perspective of three different couples... this is Jade and Lenin’s story...

Jade is the nerd and Lenin is the rockstar.... so how could he ever fall for a girl like her? I did like both of these characters... and of course they had more in common than it appeared on the surface... they also had both been harboring a crush for one another for the past four years....

Now there were quite a few things about this book that were unrealistic... like you probably should not have a career changing performance at a grad night house party... also nobody is getting into UCLA at the last minute, and they are not on the semester system (I know this is a picky detail).... all this is to say is that this was a fun Quick read but not terribly realistic.... it was also filled with clichés and stereotypes, yet still enjoyable...

This is a young adult book I believe that is truly meant for a young adult audience... if you are a parent I think the only thing that would stop you from letting a younger reader read this is there is teenage drinking, other than that it was pretty clean...

*** thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book ***

Love Beyond Opposites by Molly E. Lee is an sweet, fun, and delightful YA contemporary romance. I love this genre, there is something so innocent about first loves. I love the quirky people and situations in this book. Jade Aaron is a brain mathlete and Lennon Pryor is a musician. They have know each other for years, and have had a crush on each other. I am rarely disappointed in the Entangled Teen Crush books. I found this book to be a quick read, and recommend it to all YA romance readers, young and old.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Love Beyond Opposites is the third book in the Grad Night series by author Molly E. Lee. Unfortunately we hadn't read the first two books in the series (Love in the friend zone and Love between Enemies)- but I think we should have. It wasn't that we were confused by the storyline, we just felt a lack of character connection and a little lost.

However we did love the rockstar and nerd aspect of the story. Plus Lennon and Jade were very sweet and adorable together! We would recommend this one to our followers, but definitely recommend they read the other books in the series first.

Love Beyond Opposites is a real story. A beautiful story.

I loved both Lennon and Jade. I loved how determined they were to work for their dreams. I have seen so many of my friends bury their aspirations and dreams because they wanted to make their parents proud of themselves, and I loved seeing these two fight for their dreams.

Lennon and Jade were so cute together, and their friendship was as beautiful (Maybe even more beautiful) as their love.

Love Beyond Opposites was a real story, with its own ups and downs. The characters were awesome, the storyline sweet.

Overall, it was a package of feels, and it left me smiling from ear to ear.

The first time Lennon Pryor saw Jade Aaron he was entranced, she became his unknowing muse. Lennon knew he wanted to be a rock star and he also knew he couldn't do commitment and Jade deserved commitment. For four years he held his crush and Jade flourished as a mathelete and 4.0 student, but when graduation night comes around Lennon finds himself in Jade's company and realizes she is everything.

I thought this was a unique concept and liked the chemistry between Lennon and Jade. I thought Lennon's dad was honest and realistic where Lennon was concerned. Jade had a lot of depth once you got a flash of her life and the weight of succeeding she had been carrying around. Entertaining story.

4.5 stars — OMG, this one is totally my favourite in the series!! I totally ship Lennon and Jade, they were so adorable together! I was hooked right from the prologue, and this one was just adorable and fun from start to finish. I felt all of the tummy butterflies, and it was just a nice way to wrap up what was a fun series.

As with the previous two books, this one takes place in about a 24 hour period, and I still really enjoy that concept. I loved that we got to see those crossover scenes from the previous two books, but from Lennon and Jade’s perspectives. You don’t have to read those books to enjoy this one, but I think it makes for a more fun experience in the end. The area where this one excelled a bit more than the previous two is that I didn’t feel like the middle was as drawn out or repetitive. I loved the experiences that Lennon and Jade had over the course of the night, and I thought their relationship progressed and didn’t have as much back and forth.

Jade was super adorable, and nerdy, and awkward, and passionate and I just adored her and her snort laugh. Probably b/c I also snort laugh. Probably b/c I was pretty good at math as well (though, not like she is). I thought her personal story was interesting as well, even though I occasionally wanted a bit more…I wouldn’t have minded seeing her talk to her Mom at the end. But I loved that through Jade the author tackled the issue of “just because you’re good at something, doesn’t mean that’s what you have to do for life.” As well as the fact that you can excel at more than one thing, but you should pursue the thing that makes you wake up excited about. I think that’s one of the things that I really appreciated about this series as a whole, that while the stories are romances, they also touch on some of the struggles young adults face when approaching the next stage in life.

Lennon…Lennon Lennon Lennon. I had no idea you were going to be the book boy I fell madly in love with. I’m not really a rock star kind of girl, but maybe that’s why Lennon made it through…b/c I loved him despite all that, just as Jade does. I loved how sweet and sensitive he could be. I adored seeing his huge crush on Jade, and being in his head and learning about all the ways she lit up his life. My heart ached for him thinking his Dad meant he wasn’t good enough, and feeling so conflicted about choosing a relationship while also wanting the touring life. I loved how passionate he was about music. I loved that he was a caring friend, and just seemed like a genuinely chill guy. He was also pretty hilarious at times.

And the two of them together were just gold. I got butterflies, and desperately wanted them to figure it out. Of course I also wanted to smack Lennon on occasion, but Liv took care of that for me. And I was so happy with the climax, and then how the rest played out for them.

This one didn’t have a super strong secondary cast either, but I enjoyed the bits we got to see of Lennon with his sister Liv, the very quick glimpses of the parentals, and even Blaise was kind of adorable.

All in all, a kickass end to the series. These two were just my kind of peeps, and I enjoyed seeing them navigate their obstacles to the HEA.

Lennon Pryor is planning on being a rock star and his hard work and talent look like enabling him to do just that! His Dad works at the High school Lennon attends and part of his role involves coaching the mathletes. When freshman Jade Aaron first joins the mathletes she also hears Lennon rehearsing and they meet for the first time. Jade isn't only talented at Mathematics, she is also a skilled artist and her dream is to create her own Graphic novels - something her mother refuses to acknowledge or support. The attraction is there immediately but Lennon’s dad asks him not to break Jade’s heart since he plans on leaving anyway and isn’t ready for a real relationship. He heeds his Dad’s advice but, four years later, when Graduation Day arrives and all the rules change for both of them!

This is a story of teen dreams, parental aspirations, coming of age and romance. It has two families as the focus with very different dynamics within those families. Most of the story concerns Graduation day - and the party after it. It is about the teen rock star aiming high in his potential career whilst being conflicted when considering how he can still strive for that and keep the girl he loves in his life. It is the third book in the series but works well as a standalone - I can vouch for that as I haven't yet read the previous two books. I found it a fun read, brilliant for enjoying whilst relaxing in the sun

I requested and was given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

This was a cute romance novel to read when you are absolutely in that mood to feel the love. I loved both characters. Lee was capable of making both of her characters incredibly lovable, relatable, funny, and the perfect amount of cliched cheesiness they needed to make this book as heart warming as it was. This gave me the perfect amount of swoon as I fell in love with Jade and Lennon's love. I really think this is a great summer love read.

This is the last one in one of her Grad Night series, I didn't know this when starting the novel and I only discovered it after I finished. I think it was perfectly fine as a stand alone in the way where it didn't rely on past events or characters to drive the plot which I appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and look forward to going back to read the first two books in this series

This is my first book to read by this author. It is the third in her Grad Series, but they’re all stand alone novels.
I can see this quickly becoming a favorite among the YA romance lovers. I could even see it as a popular teen movie.
Lennon is a teen rock-star who has fallen in love with Jade, a mathlete. He keeps his feeling towards her to himself (dating plenty of other girls in the mean time) because he plans on hitting the road for tours after high school. Graduation night comes and almost the whole book is centered on that evening. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book before that spans over mostly one day. Even though it is mostly based on such a short time period, it was still exciting to read.
Their relationship with each other is cute, but will it become more? If so, how could they make that happen when she plans on going to college, and he plans on becoming famous.
I’ve read so many YA Romance books lately that I feel are such examples of toxic relationships and I hate that they’re written to teens who might not see how unhealthy they are. This was a refreshing novel because they actually both have respect for each other.

I would recommend it to you teen room ace lovers with a warning that there is lots of language (including f word several times), underage drinking, heavy kissing, and sexual innuendos.

I received a copy from the publisher through Net Gallery for my honest review. Thanks for the opportunity to read it! I enjoyed it.

i can't believe the party is over! the grad night series comes to a close with love beyond opposites and we finally find out what lennon and jade have been up to during the big bash.

though first we back up, and learn that lennon has had an eye on jade since they first met freshman year. but his dad warned him away from her, because lennon is a known playboy and jade is not a girl to trifle with. jade's always noticed him too, but assumed he'd never be interested in a girl like her, especially given his reputation.

he's the rock star, she's the mathlete.

but there's something in the air during grad night. like maybe it's the moment to grab onto the things you've always wished for and see if you can make them reality. yes, lennon dreams of being a rock star, and he has the chance to pull off a record contract and extend his band's tour with a kickass performance on grad night. but maybe getting the girl is a bigger, better dream.

when jade goes all in to help him make his rock star dreams come true he learns that she's also looking to make her dreams of being a graphic novelist come true too. he's known about her talent for drawing for a long time, he's actually collected her doodles on the back of her math tests for years.

so this epic night, they are on a quest to ensure that lennon can make his dreams come true. but this night also teaches them that you can have more than one dream, and maybe, if you want it badly enough, it's possible to have them all come true.
