Short and sweet graduation night story. Lennon and Jade had a cute relationship that was realistic for their age. Lennon was quite the teenage heartthrob/rock star but still down to earth and relatable. Enjoyed it very much.

Yayyyy!! The final part of the Grad Night series is here! I've been patiently waiting for Lennon and Jade's story and I've got to say, it's absolutely brilliant, and was so worth the wait!

As with the two previous books - Love in the Friend Zone and Love Between Enemies – the events that happen in this book happen on the same night, but from Lennon and Jade's perspective. Please note though, each of these books can be read as standalones, and make perfect sense if read on their own.

Jade Aaron, maths genius and total geek can’t believe that Lennon Pryor, aspiring rock star and the popular cool kid, could be interested in her. They're like opposite sides of a coin! She isn't the type of girl Lennon would normally be attracted to! But Lennon fell for Jade the moment they met 4 years ago, at the precise time that Jade fell for Lennon!!

Such a sweet story, I adored this book! For me this was the perfect ending for a perfect series!

A definite 5 stars!!

Love Beyond Opposites is the third book in the Grad Night series, but from what I gather the three books run concurrently. Since I didn't read the first two books, there was one instance that I can note where I was completely confused. If I had read one or both of the first two books, I'm sure I would have understood. That tells me that it would probably be best to read the books in order. Yet, other than that one small element, the story was easy to follow and read relatively fine as a standalone.

On its own, it is a simple high school romance story that doesn't profess to be anything more. Since I read a fair amount of YA lit, I prefer to have more substance and/or realistic elements in what I read. Therefore, I found myself trying to hurry the story along in order to quickly finish. For what it is, the story is well written and flows nicely with a dual POV. In my opinion, this book is suited for 13-17 year old's who enjoy category teen romance. Overall, this was probably not the best choice of book for me, but it definitely has a place in the market for teen readers.

I have loved all of the books and couples in this series and this one was no exception! Lennon and Jade are just amazing and so sweet together. I am a sucker for a geek/nerd and popular guy story. Lennon and Jade's story gave me all of the fluffy, warm fuzzy feels. I couldn't have asked for a better ending for this story and for this series. I'm so sad to see it come to an end.

The pacing in these books are wonderful. Everything takes place over a 24 hour period so you are swept into the story right from the start. The fast pace keeps you invested in the story and wanting to know how everything will turn out. These books provided a fun reading experience for me - the 24 hour timeline is something that I hadn't read before this series. I definitely like it though.

The Rockstar and the Mathlete

-‘the second I stepped over and really fell for Jade, there would be no going back. You didn’t get over girls like Jade. Because there are no girls like Jade.’-

-‘Lennon…I’d never thought of him as anything more than a friend. A rock-star player with the world on a string.’-

-‘I felt this was the best night of my life and at the same time I cursed that I’d wasted four years not seeing him as anything more than a player…a friend. Because he was more than that. He knew me in a way no one ever had.’-

Alternating POV between the two main characters, makes it interesting to see the different perspectives between the two, and to read their innermost thoughts. Also, this is a different view of the same story from her other book which includes some of the main characters from “Love In the Friend Zone”, as well as a nod to some of her other books, in the same manner. Clever. I like that one can make the connections to those other books, having read them, but in the same vein, it isn’t necessary to read them to understand this story. It remains a stand-alone. I really liked “Love in the Friend Zone” by this author and I read it several times. I enjoyed “Love Beyond Opposites” just as much and will likely be reading it again. Highly recommended.

Note: while this is a clean romance (no sex) there is swearing in it so sensitive readers be aware.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Love Beyond Opposites is a wonderful YA read. It's a fairly typical geeky girl and popular guy story but the author does a great job of making the story feel fresh and new. Throughout the story Lennon and Jade try to fight their attraction to each other. After all Lennon is planning to leave as soon as he graduates so getting involved just doesn't make sense. As graduation draws closer Lennon realizes he won't be seeing Jade any longer and that startling fact has him rethinking all his plans.

This is a very well written book and these characters will win your heart. I definitely recommend this one.

This series is a great look at the end of high school and the way relationships change, and how fat they change. Each book takes place over one day, graduation day and night. Lennon and Jade were a wonderful couple.
Lennon is a rock star, while Jade is a math genius. He has one got out the door, due to his band. They just might get a tour if everything goes well at his graduation party performance. Unfortunately, something bad happens and he had to leave the party in order to save his opportunity. Jade wins up being his partner in crime.
While on the journey, they become closer. They already stole moments to talk when she was add his dad's house for her math competition practice. They share secrets and realize that they want more than friendship. But when he pushes her away, he believes she deserves someone better, can he win her back? The 'grand gesture' is sweet
A sweet teen romance that proves opposites attract and sometimes you have to take a leap if you want to be happy.

This book was just so fun and light and cute! Just the kind of read I needed after finishing school! Apparently this is the third in the Grad Night series, but I haven't read the first 2 and you definitely don't need to. Though I'm definitely going to! So basically Jade and Lennon have been kind of friends for 4 years, but have never acted on their feelings. Why? Basically she feels he'll never want a math-lete like her and he thinks she's too good for his rock star ways. I thought this was so adorable and typically high school. I mean who didn't have a crush on someone they thought they could never get in high school? I really liked that most of the story took place in one night, because I totally believe one night can change your life!

I love how both characters had these amazing passions they wanted to follow and I love that they supported each other. The only think I didn't like was that there wasn't a lot of character development. Obviously this is tough when the majority of the story takes place in one night. But I would've liked it all the same. I also wish the characters relationships with their parents were a little more fleshed out.

But overall a really fun and refreshing read that I think we can all relate to in some way!

Lennon and Jade are complete opposites. Lennon is a budding rock star and Jade is a mathlete. They have been tip toeing around each other for the the last four years. On graduation night they are forced to spend time together in a funny set of circumstances. As the night goes on they see different sides of each other and realize their potential feelings. Even though they like each other they don’t think it will work out. To be honest I liked the story but i felt like it dragged on and on with why they shouldn’t make the next step. Things finally picked up towards the end and it ended on a really cute note. I’ve read all the books in this series and they reminded me of my high school days all over again.

I somehow missed the first book in the Grad Nights series but after I read Love Between Enemies, I needed to know more about Lennon!!

Lennon and Jade have been friends for the past four years but they couldn't be more different. Lennon is destined to be a rock star. Jade is a mathlete. But their friendship, even though seems surface, works. They get each other. When grad night, and Lennon's huge party approaches, they both know that this will be the last chance they have to explore what could have been.

The thing I love about opposites attracts stories is that the characters are never really opposites. Once they take the take the time to get to know each other and dig a little deeper, they figure out that they have way more in common than they ever thought they could. That's definitely the case for Lennon and Jade. From the very beginning I was rooting for them to figure it out. I need to hurry up and read Love in the Friend Zone! Books 2 and 3 of this series has piqued my interest. I'm pretty sure this is the last book in this series. I'll be sad to see these character go but the ending was amazing!

I love it when a book gives me butterflies!

I had very high expectations for Lennon and Jade's story. Very high. I mean we've seen little teases of their relationship in the previous two novels but I couldn't wait to get their full story.

And it was well worth it!

These two were completely adorable. Lennon is so in love with Jade that he had me wrapped around his finger by the end of the prologue. Reading his inner monologue about why he thought the world of her had me on the floor in a puddle. It was the cutest thing; especially when there were little slips about his true feelings to Jade.

Jade is equally charming in this story as well. It was great watching her build up her confidence--not just with her feelings towards Lennon but with respect to her own talents and personality.

With this series, Molly E Lee has been able to put into words the adorably awkward feelings of first love--and this book is the best example of it by far. These two are so perfect for each other and watching them discover that put a smile on my face from start to end--with a few swoons along the way.

The perfect ending to one epic night!

All Lennon Pryor ever wanted to do was play music and now he is getting his shot, one night, one show to change everything. That is until his computer ends up at the bottom of the lake. With help from the one girl he could never have, Lennon sets out to get a replacements before he has to say goodbye to his dreams.

Jade Aaron doesn't want her life laid out for her, but it is. Just because she can do math problems in her in her sleep doesn't mean math should be her life. For one night she wants to do everything she missed in high school, including going to Lennon's party.

I have loved this series since the very first book and this was the perfect ending. Molly E. Lee has a way of drawing you into a story that makes you feel like you're along for the ride with the characters. I felt invested in them from page one of the first book to the last page of the last book. Five stars isn't a high enough rating for this book. I can not wait to read more of Molly's work in the future.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'd like to start off by thanking Netgalley and Entangled Teen for offering me an e-arc to read this wonderful book and giving me another chance to immerse myself in the Grad Night world again!

I haven't read the very first book in the series yet but I did read the second one. I loved that it took place directly during the second book! I do remember Lennon being mentioned so I was thrilled to learn about him. I also liked that Jade was a main character in this and that I was able to relate to her a ton!

I loved their backstory and how Lennon and Jade ended up getting together. The conflict had me a little nervous due to not knowing how they'd be able to get past that. I found it interesting that it was another set of characters that helped him realize how much of a mistake it was to let her go. I love that they were able to sort it out in the end and would thoroughly enjoy if we got a spin-off of Lennon's and Jade's life years later!

Another entrancing book from the Entangled Teen Crush and this time overcame my expectations with an engaging love story as well as showing two teenagers struggling for their dreams.
Jade has always been a math genius, a prodigy high school student, who would always study at her teacher’s home who happens to be the father of the beautiful and dangerous Lennon, a boy who is also a prodigy but with his guitar and sweet voice. The two know that they have no chance with each other, he wants to be a rock star and put his foot on the road, she wants to go to college and publish a graphic novel.
The beginning of the book shows how the two face the last week of school facing parental pressure to pursue stable and theoretically more promising careers, which they definitely do not want. Jade is willing to do everything to pursue a career in drawing and also wants to be a less shy new Jade and live the special moments of life. It is at this moment that she and Lennon enter into internal conflict because both want to imagine that they can stand a chance with each other even with the opposite ways.
I found it cute how the writer traced their way and created a light plot where it shows the typical dilemmas of this phase and how when we find the right person, anything is possible. I fell head over heels for Jade and Lennon separately and as a couple too. I cheered them too much and found their approach beautiful and how they managed to open their hearts to the challenge of loving.
I loved the couple's pose on the cover but they just do not match the protagonist couple giving a message of a NA book when it's actually YA, they should have looked for younger models.
5/5 stars

Love Beyond Opposites is the third book in the Grad Night series and tells the story of Jade and Lennon. They both met each other 4 years ago and since that day they were into each other. Jade always thought she wasn’t Lennon’s type because she was a mathlete and Lennon could never show his feelings because his dad told him not to hurt her. Will they tell each other how they really feel on their graduation night?

Love Beyond Opposites was such an enjoyable read! I couldn’t get enough of Jade and Lennon because they are obviously opposites but they have so many things in common. They are so cute together and I kept on reading because I wanted to know how their story was going to end.

I started reading two chapters on Wednesday and I read all the rest of the book on Thursday. I just had to know if they were going to be together or not. Love Beyond Opposites was so addictive and cute!

Love Beyond Opposites is the perfect contemporary read and I highly recommend it to everyone! I cannot wait to read the other two books in the series, Love in the Friend Zone and Love Between Enemies! I really like that all the characters are in all the books!

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review. This review states my honest opinion of the book.

The cover was really great and eye catching. The blurb was what truly caught my eye, this type of romance book has seen an explosion of readers. A popular genre the nerdy romance has become. It has a lot less drama and decidedly more fun.

Lennon has a gift for music. The book starts out with him meeting a girl from a mathlete group his dads hosts assistant teaching. Lennon instantly recognizes something about Jade Aaron that makes him seek her out constantly even if it's to steal her tests she has doodled on or snippets of conversation. His dad warns him to keep his distance because she is incredibly smart and not a normal conquest for Lennon's groupies. Graduation day comes and this could be Lennons last chance to test the waters with his high school crush.

I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. Lennon was a caring and gifted character who showed a soft spot for Jade. The pace of the book was great as the last night Jade chauffeurs Lennon around. The story easily held my interest and was definitely Young Adult. I enjoyed it giving it five stars of entertainment! I hope we get another book. Thanks Netgalley for a great book!

The Quick Cut: A rock star and a mathlete with a long standing friendship try to deny their chemistry as the end of high school come barrelling to a close.

A Real Review:
Thank you to Entangled Publishing for providing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Guy meets girl. Girl and guy like each other, but try not to admit it to one another. Reality continues to make things interesting until it all comes out. Sounds familiar right? Well, in this book that story is told with plenty of simmering feelings and adorable moments.

Jade is a mathlete college bound with a flare for the geek side of life. With a tendency to be shy and safe when it comes to her choices, she takes a break to live on the wild side before the next step of her life comes.

Lennon is bound for the life of a rock star - and his dad won't let him forget it. He's had a crush on Jade for as long as he can remember but never made a move on it because he doesn't want to break her. The last thing he wants to do is date her, go on the road, and then hurt her. However, he doesn't know if he can stay away from her forever either.

These two are amazing together and the friendship feels real. The nicknames, the conversations make you smile. Even the way they deal with adversity on the turn of a dime will make you laugh. My personal favorite moment is when a crazed fan gets in their face, which leads to Jade pretending to be Lennon's boyfriend. Drinks are thrown, kisses exchanged, and the drama is epic.

A book with some flirty friendships and smile worthy moments, this quick read is worth it's weight. Jade and Lennon have the quick banter of two people that you'd want to read together for a lifetime.

My rating: 5 out of 5

I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that most of this takes place in just one day--I kind of loved the "Can't Hardly Wait" aspect of this book. I guess it's alluded to in the blurb, but I thought maybe graduation night was just the start of the relationship.

I did like the writing style, but I'd hoped this novel would have a bit more angst to it. Jade's mother felt a bit too much like a stereotypical Disapproving Mother, so I had a hard time really buying Jade's conflicts with her. But I loved the other parental figures, and really enjoyed this overall. 3 1/2 stars.

Lennon is a musician. He's confident and popular. He plans to get on the road after high school and follow his dreams. He doesn't commit to anything that will keep him in town including girls at school. Lennon's dad is a teacher at his school and Jade is his math genius. He doesn't want her heart broken by his son, making Jade off limits. The problem is Jade is the only girl who Lennon had ever been interested in for more than 2 minutes.

Jade learns Lennon is a player from day one. She sees him go through girls like hot dinners. He dates the good-looking popular types. Jade isn't that girl but that doesn't stop Jade admiring from afar.

Graduation is here and Lennon realises he isn't going to see Jade anymore. He starts to realise this is his last chance.

Geek girl and popular boy romance. This is a last chance romance. 4 Stars out of 5. Sweet, cute romance.

This was one of a few books Entangled Teen had kindly sent to me via NetGalley. Whilst I was reading this book I was not aware that the author had written other books; some of which I think are part of the same series!
This one for me fell a little bit flat in places, the storyline was kind of predictable from the very first pages but I still enjoyed reading it.
For one the writing style is really lovely in this book; it’s written from 2 POVs; Jade who is a mathlete (literally my dream but unfortunately it’s not such a thing in English schools), and Lennon who is a budding rockstar. One aspect of multi-POV stories is that we are able to see so much more of what is going on; providing a bigger picture, and a more in-depth and detailed narrative. Though it naturally leaves room for frustration with one character or another for being so blind!
Jade is someone who quietly gets along with life, who has passions outside of logic and numbers, but not really one that her parents – in particular her mother – acknowledge. Throughout her 4 years of high school she has stuck to what her parents said, but finally it comes around to graduation, and she realises she may regret not having lived a little at high school. This book is set over a very short timeframe, but the character development made by Jade is en pointe! I love how Lennon is able to make her come out of her shell (even if I’m not a fan of him…), and with that Jade is able to be more comfortable in living a little after such a studious few years at high school.
So Lennon… he’s your typical plays in a band, is really good at guitar, has a beautiful voice, long hair etc. But his reputation is as a player, and I see why – he’s dated a tonne of girls and broken all of their hearts. I understand he is very set on his goal but not only is he a mean person to more than one of them, but also he is very cocky. It does take a certain amount of self confidence to be successful in a career in a band, but I really think in some places he just goes too far. Hence why I think Jade can do so much better!
The story itself is enjoyable though, and together the couple work well, I just wish Lennon was less arrogant. It’s not a story filled with huge plot twists but it’s certainly an easy read and if you’re a fan of YA Romance books then this is one for you. As previously mentioned there are other books Lee has written previously which I think may tie in with this one, so maybe having read some of her other works I would’ve enjoyed this more. I liked the small timeframe this book was set in; it ensured there wasn’t a load of “fluff” in the narrative; it was to the point which ensured the reader wasn’t distracted from the storyline.
Overall I’m awarding this book 3.5*/5. I didn’t dislike this book, but when it came to Lennon (50% of the book) I couldn’t help just wanting him to shut up. I’m just not sure we would’ve been in the same friendship circles at school… Jade however, well I wish her every success in her life; she’s super talented in so many different ways, I really hope Lennon ups his game, stops complaining about how hard his life is and concentrate on being a better person for her! But due to the short time span of the book it was definitely a concise read, with beautiful language, relatable protagonist and secondary characters and perfect for those who enjoy a high school romance story”.
