I received Love Beyond Opposites by Molly E. Lee from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This has no impact on my review. My thoughts are my own.
First of all, I pretty much ship opposite love interests. Fremione? Aka the prankster and the book nerd? Sydney and Adrian in Bloodlines? It was kind of obvious that I would like this book from the start, but I didn't realize I would like it as fast as I did.
I downloaded the book almost immediately and started reading when I could and I couldn't stop reading! I think I posted my reading progress a bunch of times on Goodreads. (I seem to be doing that a lot lately, don't I?)
This opposites love plot was soooooo adorably fluffy and cute and I just loved it. I was able to overlook the fact that it was a really quick romance. That was kind of the whole point of the book, except for the guy had a crush on the girl since like forever. This series is kind of like how I wished my high school romances/crushes would have gone.
I also seem to be on a roll with music themed ARC books lately. This last week alone I have read FOUR music related ARC's. I'm about to finish the fourth one today. But anyway, back to this story. I also liked the music plot side of this story. I kept picturing the guy from If I Stay for Lennon.
This book is a five star rating based on the pace being fast for me, (meaning I was able to enjoy and finish super quickly), the characters, plotline, and the fluffy romance. If you like fast paced, 24 hour type of fluffy romances this book is for you.
Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Teen for giving me the chance to read this book! I enjoyed it.
Molly E Lee,
Book #3 Grad Night Series,
I first came across Molly E Lee (Author) when I picked up Love In The Friend Zone, Book #1, which is Braylen and Fynn, then on to Book #2, Love Between Enemies, which is Gordon and Zoey, from the Grad Night Series.
It follows these couples from Graduation and the events that happen at the Graduation Party. Which happens to be at Lennon's Mother's lake house.
They can be read as standalones.
This is Lennon and Jade's story.
Mathlete and the Rock Star.
Jade's a mathlete, inherently good.
Lennon's the rock star who could just break her heart.
Lennon's Dad is Jade's mathlete coach and warns Lennon off Jade as she's smart and not wanting Lennon to break her heart.
So Lennon and Jade have these 'nothing' conversations three times a week while she's at his Dad's for coaching for four years. They know that there's more to each other than meets the eye.
Jade's passion is her drawing her own graphic novel. She loves drawing, but her Mother doesn't see this, she sees it as getting in the way of her studies and wants Jade to use her brilliant mind to go into the same research field as her. But Jade has other plans in what she wants to do at college.
Lennon is the rock star who's signed up to tour with his band after graduation and be a headliner for a named band.
But his parents want him to go to college.
As they spend more time together they find out more about each other in one night, than they have in the passing conversations over the past four years.
Can they discover that they've both got feelings for each other, before it's too late?
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to Entangled Publishing LLC and NetGalley for letting me review this.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. This was probably the cutest book in the series! I loved every moment of it! I’m so glad I got this book! Jade and Lennon are such amazing characters and I loved getting to see them get together
I thought it was a sweet book nothing new but sweet. Opposites attract with a mathlete and rock star and cue stereotypes for both of them. I guess I've read so many opposites attract book that I could see the plot coming from a like away.
