As always, this provides the best of the best as to what we should all look forward to in Young Adult Fall/Winter releases for this year. It's always great to get reading samples of books from those that sound appealing or new books from favorite writers to test the waters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thrilled to find Buzz Books 2018: Young Adult Fall/Winter as I’m getting more into YA books and looking for some good titles. This fine edition fit the bill! 5/5
Thanks to Publishers Lunch BUZZ BOOKS and NetGalley for this fun read. Opinions are mine.
Wow! A really great way to get access to new novels that are coming out. While some were, of course, better than others, it was a brilliant selection. I think the best part was that the excerpts were fleshy, and not the skimpy stuff you usually get. Enjoy!
This was a great preview of what’s to come. Can’t wait for some of the books!! Especially looking forward to Sadie!
Loved this book, even when I was not reading it I kept thinking about it and couldn’t wait to pick it up again and I finished it in a day. Would definitely recommend to others and can’t wait to read other titles from this author.
Highly recommend!!
There are a lot of great books coming out. These excerpts are always helpful to find what the best books will be.
Very excited for the books to come! The Gilded seems definitely worth the feature and is the most exciting title of the list in my opinion.
Another great edition of Buzz Books. I love YA fiction so I've requested a few and will be looking out for others! I look forward to the next edition.
Thank you to Net Galley & Publishers Lunch for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.
What a fun preview of up and coming books. A great way to find some new books to add to my tbd list. Fun read. Fun previews.
I love Buzz Books! They are great guide for the books coming out soon and I always find a few that I hadn't even heard about but MUST read! Really well done guides!
I always enjoy getting these preview from Netgalley. I especially love that they include a preview of some of the most anticipated books. I always find something good!
I downloaded this to read the preview of Sadie! I'm so excited for the release of this book! There has been so much buzz around it, the cover is beautiful, and I've heard great things about her past works. I will definitely be picking it up when it comes out.
I love being able to read the first chapters of upcoming books! Especially looking forward to The Gilded Wolves, Ignite the Stars, Girls of Paper and Fire, Shadow of a Fox and Mammoth. Keep the Buzz Books coming!
The stories in this collection are extraordinary in their own right. The short narratives that are offered leave you wanting more! Buzz Books does a fantastic job curating the titles and short excerpts, just enough to peak your interest.
The topics range from living in a time of communism in East Germany to artifacts forged by God and used by men. They are told from first person and third person perspectives. Some stories use the technology of our time and others use technology which has never been seen in human history, except for in the imagination of the author.
Frankly, if you want a taste of some amazing books, this is what you want! It also lists some of the more noteworthy books that are coming out in young adult titles, both fiction and nonfiction, along with the publication dates.
This is an amazing reader's tool to help decide what to read next!
I'm super pumped for almost all of these books; these excerpts just intensified this feeling. This was super handy because now I get to decide which books I want to read right as they release!
I was trying to write a post about the books I'm most excited for that come out in the second half of 2018 and I was stuck until I read this. These Buzz Books are a great way to keep up with all the books I need to put on my TBR!
This is an especially nice collection with a little bit of everything and some intriguing off-the-beaten path entries. Worth checking out.
I'm seeing a lot of titles here that I'm really looking forward to (and a few that I hadn't heard of yet, which always really exciting!) Mammoth sounded interesting based on the synopsis but, on reading the excerpt, I suspect it won't be my thing. The Gilded Wolves sounds intriguing, the style feels a little different from Roshani Chokshi's earlier books. The Similars has kind of caught my attention with the excerpt in a way it didn't with the synopsis alone, so that might be something I wind up checking out. I've been hit-and-miss with Julie Kagawa's work in the past but Shadow of the Fox has me more intrigued than I was expecting. A Spark of White Fire is a title new to me and it does sound interesting. Retellings in space are a trend I can seriously get behind, if it is, in fact, becoming a trend (The Lunar Chronicles, Heart of Iron...) Ignite the Stars honestly had me at the first sentence of the synopsis... I'm always intrigued y criminal masterminds. I'm of two minds about Girls of Paper and Fire... I think it might be a library read at some point...
I really liked getting a chance to peak at these! It sounds like it's going to be an interesting rest of 2018.
I really like that Buzz Books allows you to read excerpts from upcoming novels as it gives you a taste of the authors writing style, the fictional world it's set in, and more importantly the characters. This is the first time I've read a catalogue like this, and I'll definitely be looking for the next release by Publishers Lunch.
I really loved being able to get sneak peaks of some of my most anticipated reads of the year! It's good to get this early look at certain books so that you know what to request here on NetGalley and also what to buy for yourself.
