Three men have sued the DiNunzio law firm for descrimination, claiming they weren’t hired because they were men. The firm is in the middle of a very important lawsuit and this creates huge problems for the firm. The lawyer for the 3 men is known for playing dirty.

This book is part of a series but could easily be read alone. I love Mary’s family and the Tonys. Great characters. This book will have you rooting for Mary and her firm from the first page. There is suspense and humor in this book. There is a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Feared – Lisa Scottoline

I was fortunate to receive this novel as an Advance Reader Copy, in exchange for an objective review.

Bennie, Mary & Judy are back as the Rosato & DiNunzio law firm finds themselves under fire…

A warm celebration of Mary’s impending motherhood is being celebrated within the walls of the law offices, when a messenger arrives with packages for each of the female members of the team. As the courier departs he tells them that they’ve been served. In the midst of preparing for an anti-trust trial, the team is astounded to discover that they are being sued for reverse sex discrimination. Additionally, they learn that the suit is being brought against them by Mary’s nemesis, Nick Machiavelli, and that comments made by their lone male attorney, John Foxman, may be partially to blame.

Shortly thereafter, John Foxman leaves the firm and the group is subjected to a plethora of bad press, interviews, and news write ups designed to discredit the agency. As Bennie and her team prepare to fight back, they hire their own attorney – and begin their own investigation. But then, a death occurs – and Bennie’s own team becomes suspect…

As always, a fabulous read by Lisa Scottoline! Full of the characters, legalese and prose you’ve come to love, this book does not disappoint!! I couldn’t put it down!!

This is the sixth book in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. It is a law/crime genre book. I have not read the series and it reads terrifically as a stand alone novel. There was enough backstory given for the chatacters that it was fine for a stand-alone but wouldn’t seem repetive to people who have read the series.
The novel opens with a reverse sexual discrimination law suit filed against Rosato & DiNunzio by a long standing rival. Mary knows that there is more to the case that what initially appears, but everyone is shocked when one of their own is murdered.
Mary, 7 months pregnant, races to uncover the whole truth, reveling something far deeper than she ever would have imagined. Recommended for anyone who enjoys fast paced crime novels!

Mary DiNunzio returns in a sex discrimination case that seems like it was designed to bring her and her law firm down. Is it Nick Machiavelli who is determined to usurp Mary at every turn? When the situation turns deadly and murder of one of their own is added to the mystery - Mary and co must form their own investigation. Is that a danger in itself?

A very pregnant Mary DiNunzio stars in this latest book by Lisa Scottoline. Things are going well at the office, the gang is about to host a shower for Mary when they are served with a lawsuit from 3 guys they've never heard of, claiming they were discriminated against because they are men. Crazy, right? And just to make it worse, the plaintiffs are represented by Nick Machiavelli, Mary's nemesis, who would like to see the firm out of business. But then, they ARE an all (or almost all) female law practice...Then things get ugly, really ugly, as hidden feelings begin to emerge from or by others in the practice. Then..someone is murdered! Would Machiavelli really go that far?

Mary buries herself in the case and follows the threads where they lead, which is to say, in strange and misleading directions. Can she find the murderer? What's the connection between her Machiavelli and the three plaintiffs? The plot twists, we are sent one way and then the next, and if you like happy endings, it's neatly tied up for you at end. Neatly, but not predictably! Feared is a great summer read, take it with you on the plane, to the beach and let the great team at Rosato and DiNunzio argue their case!

I can not tell you how much I loved this book. I have been a Lisa Scottoline fan for years and love everything she writes but Bennie and Mary are like reading about your family. This book was an emotional roller coaster with the death of John Foxman and the Rosato law firm being sued and then the birth of Mary’s baby. The Tonys make my heart smile. William is a fantastic character and I hope we get to see him again. After a tough week, getting to read this book early, thanks to Netgalley, has really made me smile. Thanks to Lisa for another fantastic book.

I think it is definitely better to be loved than feared. If you've read this book, than you know what I am talking about. This book is part of a series. You can read it as a stand alone, but it is much better if you've read all the books, then you know the characters and their backgrounds. This is a fun book to read. I really enjoyed all the legal stuff. I would of given it 5 stars but it just ended so abruptly, I wanted a little bit more of the story. I guess I will have to wait for the next installment:). If you love legal thrillers, women with strong friendships bonds, and generational family, friends and neighbors, entwined in the storyline you will like this book.

Scottoline’s latest is another legal thriller in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. While this is the sixth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone (though I would recommend going back and reading the others). Tension is high throughout the story, up to the satisfying conclusion, complete with an unexpected twist. The female cast of characters (all lawyers) is a lot of fun with the various personalities, as well as the trouble that seems to follow them. (This time, it’s a reverse discrimination case and a murder.) For those readers who have read others in the series, Machiavelli is back. You can’t help but love to hate him. Mary is trying to solve the murder and deal with being pregnant at the same time. This is a fast-paced read that is a great addition to the series.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley, but I wasn’t required to leave a positive review.

This is #6 in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. I just love the way Ms Scottoline tells a story. The all female law firm is being sued because of reverse discrimination and then a MURDER occurs! While this is #6 in a series it can be read as a stand alone. (you will want to catch up after this one, though)

My thanks to Netgalley and St Martins Press for this advanced readers copy.

I was lucky enough to receive a complimentary copy of Lisa Scottoline's new book "Feared." My opinions expressed about this book are completely my own.
I love the Rosato and DiNunzio series, FEARED is the sixth in the series. I recommend reading the series in order, without the background of the other books, you would be lost.
I always enjoy the humor in this series and generally laugh out loud while reading. Lots of twists and turns and intrigue, I didn't really enjoy the lengthy legal language....after awhile I started fast paging to get it over with. I realize the importance of the legal aspect, I just felt it was a bit drawn out.
Once you get to know all the characters from Bennie to Mary to Judy to Mary's family to the Tony's.... well, you will fall in love with all of them!
*Highly recommend

Feared by Lisa Scottoline gives us another mystery that must be solved by Mary, Judy, and Bennie before anyone else dies. Tender moments keep us involved with this crime solving group.

Lisa Scottoline’s stories are like old friends. Her characters seem like people you know and love, but I admit I always feel badly for Mary’s long suffering husband! Mary’s old nemesis Machiavelli comes back for revenge in this reverse discrimination suit which threatens Rosato and DiNunzio. Lots of twists and surprises in this latest story, making this a must-read for Scottoline fans!

Rosato & DiNuzio are being sued with a lawsuit that claims reverse sexual discrimination. Bennie, Mary, and Judy quickly figure out that they might be the victims of a setup that was planned to shut down Rosato & DiNuzio.

The plot twists will keep you guessing until the very end, leading up to a shocking conclusion.

Loved, loved, loved the strong women in this book. They made me laugh, several times. The mystery kept me guessing right until the very end. Feared would make a great book discussion selection for a group that includes both male and female participants.

Another excellent book by Lisa Scottoline! I love all of her books - the funny essays collections she writes with her daughter, the stand alones, but my favorites are her Rosato & DiNunzio series! Once I received this book, I set aside everything else I was reading and doing and just read!

I love the characters - Bennie and Mary, of course, but also Judy, Anne, Marshall, John, Lou, Mary's parents, the three Tonys, etc. I always like to come back to these characters and seeing what the crazy cast is up to now. In this book Rosato & DiNunzio is being sued for reverse discrimination and the lawyer for the plaintiffs is Mary's nemesis Nick Machiavelli. Oh and Mary just happens to also be 7 months pregnant and dealing with all the hormones, etc. that go along with that. The issues that arise from the lawsuit and the way that Mary, Bennie, and the rest deal with them make for one great thriller. I kept having to read just one more chapter. I thought I had everything figured out at the end, but I was wrong!

I highly recommend this book whether you are already a fan of Lisa Scottoline or you have not yet read anything by her.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as finishing an Amazing book and the latest installment in the Rosato & DiNunzio series, proves no different. It was long awaited and very much worth the wait!
If you've been a fan for awhile, then you're quite familiar with Mary DiNunzio's crazy family and friends and for me, they help keep the series alive. I love the Tony's and can even picture them in my head, they played a vital role in this book and it was great! Meanwhile, Mary (even in her very pregnant body) proves to be an extremely tough adversary and one that you just don't mess with!!
And the killer? I had NO clue, I thought it was one person and my mind is just blown!! Lisa Scottoline is great like that, you never know how something will play in her books until it happens. Great author! Buckle up for another ride with the toughest female lawyer team you've ever met!!
Thanks #netgalley for the advanced copy, it was a great read!

Machiavelli, a corrupt lawyer, aggressively strikes close to the DiNunzio household, attacking Mary’s father and one of their beloved family friends by filing a lawsuit that accuses them of embezzling from the treasury of a local South Philly social club to which they belong. The lawsuit is frivolous, but Machiavelli ups the ante by spreading rumors that support its allegations, muddying the reputation of Mary's father.

The claims shake the DiNunzio clan to its foundations, threatening her father's weakening heart, and Mary steps in to fight back. But Machiavelli is a more than worthy adversary. Then the unthinkable happens, and Mary goes to her own dark side, finding a part of herself that makes her more fearsome than ever before. Is it still a battle between good and evil, when good turns evil? And will Mary be able to find herself, before she loses her soul completely?

Feared, the sixth entry in the acclaimed Rosato & DiNunzio series, expertly explores what happens when we are tempted to give in to our own inner darkness.-Goodreads

Feared by Lisa Scottoline is a first for me. It’s the first time I have read a book that is part of a series where I haven’t read them in sequence. It is number six in the Rosato/DiNunzio series.
Feared is a great book on its own and tantalizingly enough to wet my appetite for more of her books. I will be adding the previous five books in this series to my summer reading.
The law firm of Rosato and DiNunzio is busy with one of the biggest cases of their firms career. They are representing a small security company in an antitrust suit against two much larger companies.
At the same time the firm is hit with a reverse sexual discrimination suit brought on by their longtime nemesis, Nick Machiavelli. Showing no mercy towards the firm including a very pregnant Mary DiNunzio, Machiavelli pulls out all the stops including some very questionable tactics to try and put the firm six feet under..
If that wasn’t enough, one of their lawyers, Judy, finds herself a person of interest in the murder of one of their own. Mary DiNunzio and Bennie Renalto have their hands full in this David versus Goliath legal thriller.
Feared elevates Lisa Scottoline into the ranks of must read authors.
Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advance copy of the book.

What starts out as a simple lawsuit of reverse discrimination soon adds industrial espionage and even murder into the mix. Add in a 7+ months pregnant lawyer and her South Philly family and friends and you have all the ingredients for another outstanding entry in Scottoline’s library of winners
