This was good! I love how it touched on current topics and looked at reverse discrimination. I love the supporting characters in this series. I think this is one of the best books in this series. Highly recommend it!

Thank you, NetGalley & St. Martin’s press for the free ARC of Feared, by Lisa Scottoline, in exchange for my honest review.

Did I like this book? Yes and no. I wanted so badly to, as I’m a Scottoline fan. I found this one to be a bit over the top with legal jargon and “believability” factor. I won’t give any spoilers. Suffice it to say that the basis for the opening lawsuit never sat right with me. If it was based more in reality, I might have really enjoyed this book. I’ll let you, the reader, be your own judge.

This book in the Rosato DeNunzio series has legs as a stand-alone. In Scottoline fashion, the characters are well developed. Friendship and family are at the forefront. There is just the right blend of intrigue and humor to keep you engaged. You see? I really did want to love this one!

I would recommend it though; just not as highly as Scottoline’s previous works.

The new Lisa Scottoline was so fast paced, i literally read it in one day! Such a great continuation of the Rosato & DiNunzio series. Loved that Nick was back in this book...really added to the plot. I anxiously await Lisa Scottoline's books....each one gets better and better. Thank you to the publishers for the advanced reader copy. i have recommended this one to everyone!

Lisa Scottoline's Mary DiNunzio and Bennie Rosato characters are some of my favorites. The lawyers are very different women but gel together perfectly in their law firm fighting injustices and winning cases. Feared begins with the duo along with fellow lawyer, Judy Carrier being sued for sexual discrimination by three male lawyers. One of the few males working in their office, John Foxman, resigns after revealing that he has felt discriminated against at the womens' firm. Foxman ends up dead and information comes to light that he and Carrier were involved in a relationship. Dinunzio is seven months pregnant, trying to help her friend prove her innocence as well as save their law firm from a devastating law suit. Mary does all of this while the wonderful quirky characters from her extended Italian family tries to help. In the end, Mary saves the day and the duo of DiNunzo and Rosato prevail. The good girls win!

This book could be read as a stand-alone but you'd miss out on a world of great reading.
The stakes are high for the firm of Rosato & DiNunzio & Associates when it is the focus of a lawsuit and smear campaign by Mary's nemesis, Nick Machiavelli.
The plot is detailed with excitement as Mary, Judy, Bennie & Ann work together to solve a colleague's murder as well as a client's corporate life and death lawsuit.
Mary's extended South Philly family provide the love and laughter that makes this a series to look-forward-to -encounter every year.
Thank you Lisa Scottoline for another great book in this series!

Another great Rosato & DiNunzio book by Lisa Scottoline! #6 in the series, Feared brings more of what there is to love about Mary, legal cases, South Philly, and current events. So many elements tie together in this one - Mary is pregnant and learning to deal with working and pregnancy. Her deeply conventional Italian family and their friends have views on traditional gender roles. Rosato & DiNunzio have prided themselves on being a female agency, but this causes conflict when they are sued for reverse discrimination. Making a visit from past books, Nick Machiavelli is deeply involved in this story and has it out for Mary and her law office. Many moving parts come together, perhaps too smoothly, but in an entertaining way. I thought the book was going to end leaving a piece unanswered but I should've had faith that Lisa Scottoline wouldn't leave us hanging like that. This series remains a favorite.

Lisa Scottoline has a new book in the Rosato and DiNunzio series (book six) called Feared. The title is perfect as three men have decided to sue Rosato and DiNunzio Law Firm. They alleged that the firm has discriminated against them as men, because they are an all woman law firm. This law suit seems to be suspicious until they speak with John, their only male member and then it strikes them Machevillis is behind all of this.

Mary and her family are just devastated by the claims and the scope of the suit. Not only could they lose their law firm, but also their houses and all that they personally own. Machevillis is playing for keeps. Mary is pregnant and feeling overwhelmed by all this. They are shocked again when John is killed by an unarmed intruder. Suddenly everything at stake is not as important as the murder, but is it all twisted together?

I enjoyed Feared. It was a fun read by Lisa Scottoline. I like how the law firm members treat each other. I love the family feeling of the characters. Lisa Scottoline does not disappoint in her newest book. It comes out in August - so be prepared.

I am a Lisa Scottoline fan and am even more of one now. This story kept me guessing to the end. I would definitely recommend it.

This book had me from the very beginning and never lost my interest at all. I really thought I had it figured out, and each time I thought that, something would happen to make me see I was wrong, up until the very end. I could completely identify with Mary’s family since it sounded just like my best friend’s big Italian family!

Since I was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, I feel like I connect with Lisa Scottoline’s books because they take place in places so familiar to me. I just never want them to end!

I received FEARED from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

FEARED is the 6th installment of the series fearing the three women law firm of Donato, DiNuzio and Carrier. It also features a previous protagonist, Nick Machiavelli. Regrettably, the plot disintegrated in the end when the mystery was solved. It is not a suspenseful thriller, but more of a cozy mystery. The climax is the only bit of suspense. The unrealistic denouement is absurd, as the main culprit in litigation is not brought to justice, but forgiven. This character conducted numerous illegallaities, but is allowed to continue on? Ludicrous, and it ruined it for me. The characterization of Mary and her family was rich; poor characterization otherwise. If you want to have a good beach read about an engaging law firm of ladies that is a light mystery, it may fit the bill!

Feared is the latest Rosato & DiNunzio story by Lisa Scottoline. Feared is a stand along story, but richer if earlier books have been read in this series, as it's like visiting old friends. Ms Scottoline never disappoints. The reader is kept guessing as to "who done it" and is treated to some edge of the seats moments. I was given an early copy to review.

Wow! This is the first time I have read a novel by Ms. Scottoline and I am surprised that I haven’t come across her books before! I have to admit, I almost put this down as I found the beginning quite slow, but I am every so glad that I chose not to because the plot of the story thickened and the pace moved quite fast with all the twist and turns! I loved the interaction with the Italian-American neighbours …and who could forget the endearing Tonys and Mary’s father! They were scene stealers! The author definitely kept me guessing as to “who dunn it!” I can see Ms. Scottoline being one of my favorite top 10 authors if this book is any indication as to what is to come. So for that, I thank Ms. Scottoline, the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of her book in return for an unbiased and truthful review.

Feared by Lisa Scottoline -  Get ready for another roller coaster ride of a novel.  From her first book in this series these lady lawyers have been on an entertaining full charge ahead mission. Nothing and no one is going to hold them down or get in their way. It is nonstop dialogue with family and friends with an unexpected twist at the end.

I loved it! I look forward to new additions to this long running series each year. I enjoy the high speed legal battles, the tight group of friends and family and visiting parts of Philly. Best of all is how the author sneaks in bits of humor when you least expect it! A truly fantastic book in a really great series.

This was a solid 4.5 stars elevated to a 5. The firm is representing a small security company that is suing two larger companies for unfair business practices. The only male associate there was sitting as second chair on this case and resigned because he thought he had little or no future there. It is also being sued for reverse discrimination by three men who claimed they were not hired by the firm because they were men. Mary is very pregnant and also handling a slightly lighter caseload than usual. Paul, the associate, is found murdered and Judy is a person of interest. The plot is finely developed and the characters colorful and likable. This Is a terrific series and the author has maintained quality throughout. Thanks to Net Galley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC for an honest review.

Another excellent Rosato and DiNunzio book. Number six in the series. In this fast paced page turner, the firm is sued by their old enemy Nick Machiavelli alleging they discriminate against men. The firm is defending an anti-trust lawsuit. One of their colleagues is murdered and Judy is a person of interest. Mary is seven months pregnant. Lots going on. In typical Scottoline writing, there were parts that had me laughing out loud and others wiping tears from my eyes. Everything works out in the end. There will be a new character in the next book and I can't wait to read it. Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin's Press and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

Thank you to Net Galley and St. Martin's Press for granting me an electronic advance of this title in exchange for my honest review. I like Lisa Scottoline, but realized with this title that I haven't read the entire series, but rather bits and pieces of it. What's good is that this doesn't affect the enjoyment of reading the books out of order. They can stand alone with no problem. An old enemy returns, with a vengeance, to take down the law firm. This strikes close to home, and affects the entire firm in different ways. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but you will love this is you're looking for a good legal mystery.

I'm a big fan of this series and this was no exception!

Characters are well fleshed-out over the series (if a little stereotypical but that doesn't concern me in the slightest). I always finish these books really quickly and the twists are always enjoyable.

It was Lisa Scottoline's Rosato and DiNunzio series that brought me to reading her and Mary DiNunzio remains a favorite character. Who can resist a South Philly girl with a close Italian community that includes so many Tonys--Pigeon Tony, Tony 'Two-Feet', Tony-From-Down-the-Block, not to forget Mary's husband Anthony! Just reading about her mother's gravy makes me hungry for pasta.

In Feared, Scottoline once again puts Mary in harm's way. But this time it's not just Mary's life that is on the line, for she is seven months pregnant.

Nick Machiavelli has targeted Bennie Rosato and her partners Mary and Judy in a lawsuit accusing them of sex discrimination in hiring. And their associate John's own words are being used against them. They are being sued as individuals and they could lose everything.

Then John turns up dead and Judy is the last one to have seen him alive.

Mary struggles with the demands of her career and impending motherhood. Judy mourns the loss of her happy ending. The clients are small fry business owners who are about to be swallowed by the big fish in the market. And John's brother with Cerebral Palsy may be force feed for convenience.

With her signature blend of humor, memorable characters, mystery, and thrills, the novel kept me turning pages. Through twists and turns and red herrings, you will be on a wild ride to an unexpected resolution.

I received an ebook from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
