I literally did not get past the first page of this because the writing was so unbelievably cliched.

I add my voice to the many fans of Lisa Scottoline, who continues to write heart-pounding twisted plots that keep the reader of the edge of her or his seat until the last page. An arch enemy, a murder, an unfounded accusation against Rosato & DiNunzio and its tough but endearing partners, a pregnancy, a close knit community, and entanglements of a business lawsuit all converge to make this a book a wonderful read. I raced through it on a plane trip, and for the first time in my memory I cursed when the plane landed on time and I had not yet reached the end. Readers who like mysteries, legal thrillers, or good fast paced novels will join devotees of this series in singing its praises.

Another hit out of the ballpark for Lisa Scottoline!!! This is another in the Rosato series and takes Mary through some tough times with the firm when one of the associates is murdered and they are served with a discrimination case against the firm. To boot, Mary is pregnant and facing physical restrictions.
How does Scottoline continue to write these awesome books??? Another winner!

This is another book with the background of the Rosato and DiNunzio. Of all the books that this author writes these are my favorite. The plot is that the law firm gets sued for discrimination by Mary's archenemy Nick Machiavelli which the ladies have to defend. Early in the case a friend is murdered and Judy is a person of interest. The firm is trying to solve the murder and defend their firm that Nick is trying to destroy.
I always wondered where the author comes up with the plots because they are different all the time and she has a great gift of words. This book will keep you guessing till the very end and you will be surprised. I enjoy these books since you get a little bit of everything but the soul of the book is the relationship that Mary has with her family. These book wouldn't be the same if Mary couldn't go home to the neighborhood and be with her family.
A page turning and a guessing book until the very end. I would like to thank Net Galley for the advanced copy for my honest review.

Another heart racing adventure for the law firm of Rosato & DiNunzio. Lisa Scottoline as usual delivers a legal thriller with her signature humor thrown in that is guaranteed to make you keep turning those pages, or tapping that screen! I was gasping for breath by the end. It's a MUST read!
Thanks to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for an advanced copy.

Is it better to be loved or feared? Well, Bennie seems to rather be feared. Mary isn't sure and Judy, would probably be both. These are the women of the Law firm Rosato and DiNunzio. They have just been served with a suit for discrimination against men. John Foxman is one of their lawyers, but he let is slip that he feels uncomfortable working with all women. On top of that people are getting killed. There are secret relationships and betrayal. This another book full of twists, turns, suspense and drama. Great read!

This is the sixth novel in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. At the beginning of this book we find out that the girls have been served with a lawsuit that claims reverse sexual discrimination. As they work through the details, Bennie, Mary, and Judy conclude that they might be the victims of a setup perpetrated by an old nemesis, Nick Machiavelli. It seems that his bruised ego has made Machiavelli turn his sights on Rosato & DiNunzio, and his depravity has no bounds.
As the lines are drawn and the camps are established, a new twist early in the case ratchets up the tension on both sides. Suddenly the lawyers of Rosato and DiNunzio find themselves knee deep in the middle of a murder investigation. Secrets are exposed as the investigation plows forward, and the walls begin closing in around the law firm. Bennie and Mary desperately try to find missing links and alternate suspects. Of course Mary's parents and "The Tonys" are there for moral support and to lend a helping hand when needed.
The girls rally together and hatch a plan to ultimately bring Machiavelli to justice and make him pay for his misdeeds. However, no one could imagine the real killer and their motives for the things they did. The plot twists will leave you guessing until the very end, leading up to a shocking conclusion that will leave you breathless.
I would recommend this book to fans of mysteries and thrillers. I received this as a free ARC from St. Martin's Press on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

great book best in the wonderfull serie will read more by this up and coming author would recommend to friends

Lisa Scottoline brings us another book in her Rosato & Di Nunzio series. Feared does not disappoint. She reintroduces familiar characters and puts them through the paces. The book is fast paced with an unexpected twist at the end.

There is so much to love about this book and about the whole series! This is number 6 in the Rosato and DiNunzio series. I do enjoy the cases the lawyers get involved in but even more, I love all the family stuff that goes on. I love how the family calls Mary, Mare and how Mr D is always talking very loud. I adore Mrs D and the great mother and friend she is. I hope there will be many more in this series!

Feared by Lisa Scottoline. After a bit of slow beginning, the story took off and became a real page turner. Very good addition to the Rosato & DiNunzio Series.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

There is nothing like a riveting story featuring Bennie and Mary and a thicket of plot twists..
Full of good-natured pregnancy humor, Scottoline skillfully brings real-life legal issues to the forefront in a way that only she can.
Highly recommend to all Rosato and DiNunzio fans!!!!

I am a fan of Scottoline's general fiction and the books she writes with her daughter. Her legal thrillers are fairly formulaic and predictable....however, that is often expected of a legal thriller
Scottoline has the added talent of razor-sharp wit and snappy dialogue that makes her thrillers fun to read.

Bennie Rosato and Mary DiNuzio are back with their sixth adventure. So is Nick Machiavelli, an attorney who Mary won cases against before. This time Nick is set on humiliating Benny & Mary and possibly bankrupting the firm.
Mary is pregnant with her first child and since her husband, Anthony, is unemployed, she will have to return to work after the baby comes. Nick represents the plaintiffs in a reverse discrimination suit against the firm. The 3 male plaintiffs claim that they applied for positions but were not offered employment because of their sex. In one of those interviews John, the only male attorney in the firm, admitted to the applicant that he did not feel comfortable with the female partners.
Another large case that the firm is handling is about antitrust matters and John is the firms’s expert on antitrust law. John is unhappy that his comments about being the lone male are upsetting everyone so he decides to quit the firm. Then John is killed throwing everything and everyone into disarray.
This well crafted story has many twists and turns and new information is revealed in every chapter.

I received a free copy from NetGalley. Are there really only six in this series so far?! Mary tells the story in this one. Not sure I would want to read this one without having read some of the others for background on some of the characters. Quick read. Interesting story. Worth the time if you are already familiar with the series but don't start with this one.

I love Lisa Scottoline, I love Mary DiNunzio, so I loved FEARED. This is the newest entry in the series, which deals with the fearsome female lawyers, Mary, Bennie and Judy. This time their equilibrium is upended by a lawsuit claiming discrimination against potential male employees. Stirred into the plot are the villainous Machiavelli and the murder of their only male employee.
Not only does it deal with all these issues, but also the issue of pregnancy in the workplace and as a career bump. So much fun, yet full of meaty issues well worth discussing at a seminar or book club.
I urge readers to spend a few weeks this summer and read some of the earlier books in this series. You will enjoy every moment and you will be able to enjoy this book much more fully when you have the context.
Thank you NetGalley and Lisa Scottolini for a wonderful read!

Another predictable story... it was ok, maybe a beach read but too many books too little time for me to suggest this as a read... ordinary

A worthy addition to the Rosato series, good plot, great characters including Mary’s iconic Italian family.

Ok first off...I only gave this 4 1/2 stars because this story was a little slow in the beginning. Once you get past the slow, hold on, get ready for a super fast paced story.
Now for the review....FEARED is a super awesome story, it’s fast paced with some twists you aren’t going to be expecting. Three women work together in a law firm. They also employ a male attorney, but apparently he feels out of place and told the wrong person. John’s taking with someone about a job in the law firm ends up getting the ladies sued. They are getting sued for discrimination, the suit claims the ladies only hire women, which you’ll have to read the story to find out if they really are discriminating. Then on top of the law suit, there is a murder.....and they’re making claims that Mary did the killing. Oh boy, these ladies already have enough troubles, now this! The ending was a complete shock to me! Loved it! Happy Reading! :)

Another blockbuster from the author. Full of her usual mystery and suspense and even left me surprised at the end. The book could have done with a little less of the legalese but overall a book that I would recommend to all.
