This wasnt the greatest book. I am surprised that it was published. One it ended on a cliff hanger.. I hate cliff hangers. Two it was so much back in forth. Too much drama. I dont like writing bad reviews but this book need some help.
Wicked Dance ended without resolution, which is not a technique I enjoy. Im did however, like the characters and enjoy the storyline up to the abrupt disappointing ending. I am hopeful that Wicked Dance is the first in a series, as I would like to see the initial story conclude, as well as read more about the fascinating secondary characters. Olivia Boothe writes a sexy, flirty story and I found it entertaining. I would read more from Ms. Boothe.
A charming romance book that is so well written. I loved the characters in this book and love their story. Well done with the characters and keep ing my interest.
This was not a bad book but it wasn't amazing! I had higher hopes for this. It was easy to read but almost too easy to read. It is perfect for a prebed book.
I thought this was a A fantastic debut from author Olivia Boothe. The cover caught my attention first, it was a perfect choice. Wicked Dance was extremely well written, with well developed characters. It was easy to follow and never did I feel it was dragged out. It was fast-paced, without feeling rushed. I really loved the story line.
The story took you on a journey that you felt yourself right there with Sara and Toms relationship develop. I can't wait to read more by this author!
The story is thick and lovely, characters are cute together. The romance level reached an almost top, Love the novel, highly recommend for readers to read, especially readers who enjoy romance. The whole plot is close to what we may happen easily in daily life, coffee shop, handsome man and beautiful girl with an accident - spilling coffee. I might try one day to see if I can get myself a handsome romantic man~
Not bad for an author's debut novel.
Sara is now an assistant at a dance school, after a car accident that killed her mother caused her to give up her Broadway dance career. Her boss treats her terribly which Sara endures because of her internalized guilt over the car accident.
She meets real estate tycoon Tom who she connects with instantly. The book follows the beginning of their relationship but ends on a bit of cliffhanger. They have lots of hot sex and Tom is a great romantic hero. Sara was a bit irritating--she reminded me a bit of Anastasia in 50 Shades.
Many thanks to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
This book frustrated me beyond belief. There were some really really promising parts in the book but the buildup almost had me feeling like the story was over dramatic if that is even possible.
Let's start with Sara, she is a scared woman who feels like her mothers death was her fault and she has been punishing herself for that for so long.
Tom who is a war vet basically never lets any woman get too close to him because his fiance left him.
Both of them have serious reason why they should feel this way but the story really just felt over dramatized to me.
Tom wouldn't tell Sara what he did for a living, he is a real estate agent. Big whoop.
She wouldn't tell him that she worked in the dance company because she was a dancer.
She falls in love with him, but then tells him things are moving to fast. Says they can't have sex then says she can't resist.
He winds up catching her dancing with Alexei which throws him into a jealous rage, she feels like he will never understand that she loves to dance... why not?
He tells her that his assistant basically tried to rape him and he decided that she should still keep working for his company and expects her to not be jealous or upset... sure!
Then when it just starts getting good, cliffhanger. Now I am all for a good cliffhanger but there is nothing about this dysfunctional couple that leads me to believe that new and exciting adventures are coming down the line.
I loved it! I couldn't believe this was the author's first book! The characters were so well developed, and the story telling was so rich and detailed, and just real!
This is a beautiful slow burn of a story. The characters are fully realized. The setting is so detailed I felt like I was walking down the streets of NYC with Sara. I loved the immersion into the characters’ world and the time the author takes to explore their lives before throwing them together. The tempo and pacing of this story is unusual in a time when so much feels rushed and disposable. This is not a disposable story. It’s a story to savor and read again and again.
Sara and Tom are two lost souls wandering in the world until fate. No, this is not an easy path. The right ones, are never easy. Their journey hurts and heal. Their path brings you joy and sadness. The main characters have real personal demons. I won’t spoil the story by saying what they are or what they need to do to face them, but both bring serious baggage to their potential relationship. Their romance is messy: in turns hurtful, healing, hilarious and heartbreaking. Both characters are so complex that I've ended the book feeling like their best friend. I love them and I totally understood them.
I cannot wait for book 2! I highly recommend reading this!
