Description
Former dance student Sara Hart had aspired to grace the stage on Broadway, but a reckless decision forced her to renounce that dream. Years later, while struggling with an ungratifying job and an even more unsatisfying love life, she literally stumbles upon a dangerously sexy stranger who sends her heart—and her body—into hyperdrive. His touch makes her feel alive again and sparks a desire to rebuild her dance career. But Sara is still haunted by the demons of her past. One dark lie could cost her everything.
Real estate mogul Tom Wright caters to the rich and famous. He lives the life of the perfect bachelor, partying hard and dating the most beautiful women in Manhattan. But he has one golden rule—no commitments. Ever. Then he meets sexy Sara Hart, and something about her makes him want to throw the damn rule book out the window. Every time she’s near, the blood in his veins pulses with a raging fire he can’t contain. But Tom’s shadowed history is resurfacing, unearthing ghosts he’d rather remain buried.
Will this wicked dance be their last?

I loved it! I couldn't believe this was the author's first book! The characters were so well developed, and the story telling was so rich and detailed, and just real!
This is a beautiful slow burn of a story. The characters are fully realized. The setting is so detailed I felt like I was walking down the streets of NYC with Sara. I loved the immersion into the characters’ world and the time the author takes to explore their lives before throwing them together. The tempo and pacing of this story is unusual in a time when so much feels rushed and disposable. This is not a disposable story. It’s a story to savor and read again and again.
Sara and Tom are two lost souls wandering in the world until fate. No, this is not an easy path. The right ones, are never easy. Their journey hurts and heal. Their path brings you joy and sadness. The main characters have real personal demons. I won’t spoil the story by saying what they are or what they need to do to face them, but both bring serious baggage to their potential relationship. Their romance is messy: in turns hurtful, healing, hilarious and heartbreaking. Both characters are so complex that I've ended the book feeling like their best friend. I love them and I totally understood them.
I cannot wait for book 2! I highly recommend reading this!
Not bad for an author's debut novel.
Sara is now an assistant at a dance school, after a car accident that killed her mother caused her to give up her Broadway dance career. Her boss treats her terribly which Sara endures because of her internalized guilt over the car accident.
She meets real estate tycoon Tom who she connects with instantly. The book follows the beginning of their relationship but ends on a bit of cliffhanger. They have lots of hot sex and Tom is a great romantic hero. Sara was a bit irritating--she reminded me a bit of Anastasia in 50 Shades.
Many thanks to Netgalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
The story is thick and lovely, characters are cute together. The romance level reached an almost top, Love the novel, highly recommend for readers to read, especially readers who enjoy romance. The whole plot is close to what we may happen easily in daily life, coffee shop, handsome man and beautiful girl with an accident - spilling coffee. I might try one day to see if I can get myself a handsome romantic man~
