I was drawn to the book right away because of the absolutely darling little girl on the cover who looks just like one of the little ones I used to watch every week pre-pandemic. All of the children and all of the illustrations are absolutely darling.

The little girl knows that God has given her a special gift and she is trying to figure out what that gift might be. Through rhyming verse, she suggests different ways that she might be able to share this gift with others, and I would say that all of them qualify. So this book is teaching kids how to spread God's love every single day.

It really is a super sweet book that I recommend adding to your bookshelf.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a requested review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a cute little story about giving a gift that is unique to you; something that maybe you can do that no one else can. I really enjoyed the bright illustrations and storyline.

I will be looking to buy this book for our school library. It’s about a little girl who wants to know what her gift is. It’s a short and sweet book with beautiful illustrations. It has a wonderful message. Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson:Children for the E-ARC. This is my own opinion.

Such a sweet book for littles and everyone. Children from various backgrounds fill the colorful illustrations in this delightful picture book as readers learn what gift they can share with others. Various gifts are explored with scenes of children acting them out. God will show just what the gift He wants people to share: “All God asks me as I grow, love, and live is that I show others the gift I can give.” I received a copy from Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

A lovely children's book written in verse with charming illustrations. It has a beautifully positive message that everyone has power to do something kind and to be a positive contribution in the world! Kids need more reminders of this!!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for providing an advance digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The Gift That I Can Give has a good message but I didn't like the wondering of what the gift could be. I think it would have been better to start with "his love" and then gone on to give examples of how to do so.

Kathie Lee Gifford has written such a precious, affirming book for children. This can be used as encouragement as children figure out who they are and what they are good at. It can also be used to remind children that above anything else we are asked to care for and love each other. This is a book I would love to share with my children and the children in my extended family.

This little girl simply wants to know what gift God has given her. What gift can she share with those around her? How will she know?
A simple question that helps kids talk about God and our role in His plan. I think the message is a good one, and Gifford made the cute story rhyme, making it more enjoyable and memorable to read. The illustrator and author both put this book together in a way that is appealing to kids and their religious parents.

This is a gentle rhyming story about discovering God’s gifts inside all of us. No matter what those gifts are or how we employ them, we always have God’s love to give. And that love can be given at any age, to anyone, in any way and look like so very many things. A perfect message to share with the children in your life. The illustrations are bright and beautiful.

I’ve always admired Kathie Lee Gifford for her faith in the spotlight. You can tell her relationship with Jesus is precious to her and she longs to tell of His goodness. She does that in increasingly many ways. This book is one of them. If you haven’t seen the video, The God Who Sees, that she wrote and produced, you must google it.

This book is adorable! The illustrations are sweet and inviting, and the rhyming text has a good flow to it. It's definitely for people who believe in God, but anyone who believes in a personal God who loves each person will enjoy this one.

It's a sweet progression as the little girl wonders what the gift God gave her might be, with large ideas (dancer, athlete, etc.), and small ideas (cheering on a friend, hugging a family member). I love that her conclusion (spoiler alert!) is that God's love is the gift she can give, whether in a particular profession, volunteer roles, or daily life with family and friends (of course the message is stated much more simply & sweetly than that!).

Adorable multicultural illustrations by Julia Seal perfectly complement the sweetly lyrical text. Not only does Gifford encourage children to embrace kindness and the gifts that make them unique – be it hobbies or personality traits – she also reminds readers of all ages of our shared gift to give the world: God’s love. Warm, rich colors give life to both the text and the illustrations, causing them to leap off the page and capture the hearts of adults as well as the target readers. Meaningful, cute, and inspiring, this is a treasure to keep for years to come.

Thank you #netgalley for giving me a copy of #TheGiftThatIcanGive to review. This was a short book, yet I still found myself drudging through it. The message was good, and would be okay for Pre-K aged children. Not my favorite.

The Gift That I Can Give is a sweet, rhythmic book for very young children of the ‘gifts’ that God gives us. We in turn are blessed by them. Then we turn around and give them to others. Things like cheering on a friend, visiting the sick, and feeding the hungry. The pictures that go along with this book are so sweet and fun to look at with little ones. I enjoyed reading this one by Kathie Lee Gifford.

My toddlers love this book, and it's got a great, inspirational message. Only thing I wish was that the main character was split between a boy and a girl. Would make it feel a bit more personal.
