This is a sweet book that provides encouraging words to children. The illustrations are beautiful. This book can be read again and again. It is a wonderful addition to any child’s library.
I read this book to my son and he loved it. It was a beautiful book from the story to the illustrations. I really loved that this book was about Christianity as I am Christian yet I don’t always get a chance to go to church. The message of this book was very uplifting and so cute. I love how it made my son think and answer a question about himself. This is a really wonderful book to have.
This was okay. The art was cute and the message was uplifting. It's a little hard for me to rate because I didn't realize it was a Christian book when I requested it, and I'm not a big advocate for pushing religion on small children, so I'm just defaulting this to 3 stars (sorry).
Everything about this book is beautiful. The illustrations are beautiful and the message is beautiful too. I recommend this book to everyone. It is wonderful for children, of course, but as adults it is special as well. I love this book and so does my family. We could read it over and over -- and we will. It is a special book and I am glad it was given to the world.
Then He'll help me find ways to give it away. As He lives in my heart. Every moment, every day. This book takes you and your child on a quest to answer the question "what gift can you give"
This was a cute book with excellent pictures but my children and I found the message confusing. The first part of the book made it seem like we only have one gift. My children realized immediately that this isn't consistent with scripture in addition to noticing that the gifts she mentions are not the gifts given in the Bible. So while the book was fun with the rhymes and great illustrations it's not one we'd personally add to our family library.
This was a really sweet book with beautiful pictures and attractive text. The story is perfect for young Christians as they grow and try to discover what gifts God has given them, and figure out how they can use them.
Though I love how the book introduces the idea that we are all given special gifts from God, I think there could be a little more said about how God gave us these gifts to be used for the purpose of giving Him glory. I must say though, that even as an adult though, I think the ending is a little confusing, suggesting that God's gift for us to share is His love. It doesn't really expand or explain that His love is not the only gift He has given us to share, but the previously mentioned "gifts" in the story are things that we can share as well.
I am looking forward to reading this with my little ones, and anticipate it will be a great discussion starter about who God has created them to be and how He can and will use them for His glory.
The Gift That I Can Give by Kathie Lee Gifford is a beautiful picture book with an important lesson. The illustrations in this book are gorgeous. I read it with my seven year old son and he loved it. That being said, it’s a very short book and you’d probably only read it once. Overall, it is a beautiful book. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
I really wanted to like this book. I'm a fan of Kathie. It was ok. I think our library will probably buy it, because of its audience, but I was hoping to get more out of it than I did.
I have always been a fan of Kathie Lee and I watch her when I can. Her honesty about her Christianity and her want to share that with her family, friends and followers. I loved reading this story to my children. The idea that we each have a unique gift given by God to share with the world is beautiful and exciting. Fantastic book and the illustrations are beautiful.
I was given this book as a review copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to leave an honest opinion.
The Gift That I Can Give is a short children’s picture book that talks about how we all have a special gift. This story is a journey for one little girl as she tries to figure out just what her gift is. This book shows God’s love and she even prays to try to find out her gift. This book shows that even the smallest and simplest action (even from a child) can help someone in a huge way.
The illustrations are impressive: They are large, colorful, and show a diversity of children throughout. The pictures help to enhance the reading experience.
The Gift That I Can Give is written in a fun way for children (everything rhymes!) and they are sure to enjoy it. Maybe they will even realize what their special gift is after reading this book!
Special thanks to Netgalley for my copy that I received and reviewed.
As an atheist, I'm not the right person to review this book, so I'll keep it short and sweet. The message is a beautiful one: you may not always have much to give to others, but the best thing you can do is give what you can when you can, whether it's material things or acts of kindness.
I'm certain this book would be a very welcome addition to any Christian household. It would be a very welcome addition to my household if all mentions of God were omitted, as it summarises beautifully my own life philosophy, which I hope to instill in my children, of giving for giving's sake, not for the expectation of reward (and, in our case, also not for the sake of pleasing some omnipotent deity).
The rhyme and rhythm were a bit clunky in some places, but generally flowed well.
The illustrations had more texture to them than digital illustrations often do and were bright and cheerful, albeit lacking somewhat in variety of expression.
Overall a very worthwhile read!
This was a simple, sweet read. Teaching children that yes, they can give with the talents that God gave them, but also just by loving others. With the love that God gives so freely, we can give to others. It was a lovely life lesson, and simplistically written for the youngest minds to understand.
The pictures were bright and colorful; eye catching. Clean, straight-forward settings full of life and smiling faces.
Good message. Liked the ease of reading. The characters and story were fun and entertaining. Great illustrations! Read with kids. Would recommend!

God, will You show me
The gift I can give
As I grow and love
And learn how to live?
This is a heartwarming story that shows how all children can do something to make a positive impact on others. From simply being kind to giving a loved one an extra-big hug to cheering on a friend. This story will inspire children with many ways to show God’s love.
I give this book a rating of 5 stars and highly recommend it. I enjoyed reading this to my 4 year old daughter at bedtime. It was very adorable and I absolutely loved the bright and colourful pastel drawings. This book has a strong religious message but, the message is good and very positive.

This was just alright. The pictures were eye catching but not much else going on. This might be a hit for fan's of Kathi Lee's other books.
Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was such a cute storybook about a girl asking God what her Gift is. She goes from big to little possibilities. Illustrations are well done and I loved that it incorporated faces of different races. Definitely will buy for my little one.
I highly recommend this book for children. This is a great tool to open the doors for kids to recognize that just being kind and nice to others can make a huge impact. I can't wait to read this to my children!

I just absolutely loved this book on the gifts that God gives. What a great teaching tool with diverse illustrations on all the ways we can give the gift away. This book is on the top of my list to give to my grandchildren. Gifts comes in different ways, sizes that only each individual heart can give. It is a prayer and a praise that each child will experience the joy of God. Highly Recommend.
<I>A Special Thank you to Thomas Nelson and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
