Dr noah and the sugar plum fairy by Carla Rossi.
College senior and not-so-ex-ballerina Jane Trumbull is home for Christmas break. She welcomes the joyful chaos of a happy family holiday—then the rollercoaster of emotions begins. Veterinarian Dr. Noah Barron hopes his return to Texas and his new clinic will help him forget about his dark days in California. But he can't outrun unresolved issues and doesn't know how lonely he really is—until he meets slightly clumsy Un-Plain Jane. Can Jane and Noah learn to share who they really are and what they really want? And can they allow God to send joy after sorrow, hope for hidden dreams, and healing for past wounds?
This was a very enjoyable read with great characters. Loved how Jane and Noah were together.
I loved the ending too. A great short read. 4*.

Dr. Noah and the Sugarplum Fairy by Carla Rossi is a fun, short Christmas read. Jane is a college student home for Christmas break and Dr. Noah is the new emergency vet in town. Jane takes her older cat to him when Snowball is ill. Dr. Noah gives Snowball some medicine for his infection but the next day Snowball passes away. Jane angrily confronts Dr. Noah but later realizes that, as a Christian, she has to apologize. Will the two of them ever become friends or at least civil? Noah has lost his faith and Jane tries to be an example to him. Will she lead him back to his faith or push him away?
I loved this story and read it in one day with some breaks. There are several interesting and quirky characters in the story which keeps the story line interesting. The characters are realistic and deal with issues in their own ways. The characters are all Christians which makes this a nice, clean story. I give this book 5 of 5 stars. It will appeal to a wide audience and make a great Christmas gift.
