Dr. Noah and the Sugarplum Fairy by Carla Rossi is a fun, short Christmas read. Jane is a college student home for Christmas break and Dr. Noah is the new emergency vet in town. Jane takes her older cat to him when Snowball is ill. Dr. Noah gives Snowball some medicine for his infection but the next day Snowball passes away. Jane angrily confronts Dr. Noah but later realizes that, as a Christian, she has to apologize. Will the two of them ever become friends or at least civil? Noah has lost his faith and Jane tries to be an example to him. Will she lead him back to his faith or push him away?
I loved this story and read it in one day with some breaks. There are several interesting and quirky characters in the story which keeps the story line interesting. The characters are realistic and deal with issues in their own ways. The characters are all Christians which makes this a nice, clean story. I give this book 5 of 5 stars. It will appeal to a wide audience and make a great Christmas gift.
I received an advance copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
