A nice way to get new ideas on how to beat stress.
The format is list form broken down into categories such as Mornings, Evenings, Work, Dealing with Emotions, Spiritual, etc. This makes for a very stress-free way to learn some lifelong habits to help manage stress.
Some of my favorite ideas were:
Give joy to another person each day.
Imagine how this situation will effect you a year from now. Will it still bother, hurt, scare you?
Try something new once a month.
Be kind to yourself, not critical.
I would recommend reading one passage a day and reflecting on the idea, then implementing into your life.
365 Ways to Beat Stress is a fantastic book and I am glad I got to read it. I will definitely buy this book and give it to people. Great ideas that I will use.
RATING: 3 STARS

As I read through the books and tried to add some of the suggestions to my life, I found it hard to use. What I mean is Gordon assumes you do things in a certain order, and that is how everyone does it. I guess you could order them to meet your needs but the book is not set up in a way for it not to be linear. I think this is one book you will either take to or you won't so I rated it a three. I highly recommend you either first take a look at a sample (if provided on sites like Amazon), or flip through a copy at a book store or library and see if it is something that would fit you.

What I love about this book is it's too easy to understand. It didn't try to be more than what it is. It's not pretentious. Lol, I sound like talking about a person but I know you get the gist of what I'm saying. This book is helpful in a way that it gives you what you really need without giving you a hard time first. The writing is too clear. The writing is as simple as teaching you ABC and maybe that's intentional and strategic since the book is titled and is about how to beat stress. This book sure isn't stressful. I just hate self-help books that try so hard to look smart, as if they're the only books you need to have a beautiful life. This book isn't like that. It's simple but it gives what you want from it.
So yeah, this is a great book and I highly recommend it.
This book is a great source of inspiration to live better and make small changes that lead to happiness.
I found specially powerful two suggestions: finding a replacement for "I should", and stopping saying "I have to" and starting saying "I choose to" (because you do choose to do those things that you "have" to do).
Who doesn’t need 365 ways to beat stress? Life is so high speed fast paced that we could all use more ways to calm down. I have moderate anxiety and found plenty of useful strategies that are very helpful. Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!
Life seems to be so full of stress these days - this book is a perfect support to those who are looking for ways to reduce their stress levels. I've already started to put some of the strategies into place and can feel the difference.
This book lists 365 ideas on how to beat stress and anxiety. A lot of them are simple like taking deep breaths while others are longer like to write down your worries, and come back the next day to the list with a fresh outlook.
It's an interesting book that includes ways that I have tried before and do work. You can either do one a day or when feeling stressed flip through it.
Because they are in categories, it seems a little hard to do one a day in order. My troubles may not have to do with work, so I'd want to skip that section.
365 Ways to Beat Stress is essentially a list of mindfulness and self-care tactics that can help us manage and prevent succumbing to excessive stress. We are human; life happens. While we cannot control our emotions, we can control our reactions and we can eventually learn to acknowledge and let go of negative emotions. This book aims to help people do that a little at a time. Many of the strategies Gordon mentions are things I learned in cognitive behavioral therapy, and other are practices common to several faith traditions, but you don't need to be in therapy or a theist to reap benefit from 365 Ways to Beat Stress. I plan on going through the book again and incorporating some new habits into my life.
I absolutely loved this book from very first until the last one. Reading this when I most needed (thanks college) was a perfect choice that I made! Throughout the book, I found the ways that I have used previously and also the ones that I found interesting and decided to start applying to my stressful life with the hope of beating it. 5/5 stars with all of my heart!!
This was a great book on how to reduce and ultimately beat stress in all aspects of our lives by being grateful for what we have, doing meditation, planning for difficulties, doing things naturally like waking up, and not to be cynical as that mindset doesn't achieve much except making you more moody. In this day and age of increased stress on students, parents and the rest of the workforce, the 365 pieces of solid advice provided in this title are now needed more than ever. Stress is not very good for our physical and especially, mental health. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me an advanced reading copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

I’m always on the lookout for books about self development. So when I heard about this book series, I was so excited to pick it up.
The format and graphics of the book are beautiful (with a touch of minimalism) and surprisingly calming. I felt incredibly at ease as I read from 1 to 365 in one-go. There is a diverse array of advice that is given and they’re all very insightful towards different aspects of life. Under each example, Gordon explored more in depth in how to fully achieve the feeling of serenity and gratitude.
I usually love picking up self-help and personal development books, but I’ve never found one that is so compact and comprehensive. It’s like a small handbook to have that you can have around with you. There is no order in which you should read it. Whether you what to try one stress reliever a day or jump around to several a week, “365 Ways to Beat Stress” is so versatile. I would recommend this to anyone.
I was torn between giving it 2 or 4, reasons below.
1) it started out better than fine, with easy step to follow up to jump start the morning, e.g., singing in the shower, have a healthy breakfast, etc.
2) it became too spiritualistic (?) in the middle with saying to reconnect with the element, practice dhristi, etc.
3) although to note, some if not most were still applicable irl, example: do yoga, power walk
4) however, it left a bad taste to me (pure opinion)

A vast number of different ideas and ways to beat stress, many of which I would never have thought of before. The only downside, many rely on some form of visualisation, which due to having a mild form of aphantasia, I find extremely difficult to do. My issue though and not really a fault of the author.
Many thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this ARC for which I have given my voluntary and unbiased review.
I love that this book is broken down into logical chapters that focus on very specific things such as the body and a peaceful home, as well as more general areas like mind and spirit and people. I also really enjoyed that this book was small and short, it does contain 365 separate little ideas. You could easily space this out over a year and focus on one topic each day, but if you are like me, you would just spend the time to read the entire thing in one sitting. It is most definitely a book that you could revisit and almost "study" in order to get the most out of it. This is especially true since things in our lives change; one reading could be completely different from the next. The individual ideas or suggestions aren't anything that would be difficult to do. Most would be easy to incorporate into everyday life; they include things like paying attention to dreams, wearing a bright shirt, accepting negativity, reading a classic novel, visiting a graveyard, or admitting when you are wrong. I love how each little thing is small but has the possibility to make a large difference.
I don't think you can ever get enough of books that are aimed at making life less stressful so I was glad to pick up this one, my second book on managing your lifestyle by Watkins Publishing. Lots of useful tips you can use and easy to read and digest. A good coffee table book to share. With thanks again to the publisher and Netgalley for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review.
This has, as you might expect, lots of interesting suggestions to help you beat stress. However, it wasn’t quite what I expected, in that many of the ideas are context bound rather than daily exercises. From the ‘365’ in the title I expected more something along the lines of an exercise per day.
Gives different ideas - just giving the points. Not have to use all the ideas, can take and leave. the author gives ideas for pretty much all aspects of one's life.
Thank you Watkins Publishing and Netgalley for an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
This was a great little book of tips on beating stress. It can be read all at once or dipped in and out of.
This book stands out from many others of the same theme, in that it provides some really fun, out of the box ideas. There were the usual tips on having breakfast, meditate, etc etc but I enjoyed the more creative ones that were inlcuded.

There are a few sections to this book: Mornings, Dealing with Stress and Emotions, Positive Change, Mind and Spirit, Body, The Peaceful Home, Work, People, Creativity and Play, and Evenings.
There are common-sense and yet new ways of dealing with stress. This book is full of good ideas from drawing insight from your dreams to thinking how you can give joy to one person today as you walk to singing in the showers.
I recommend this book to those who would like to give a thoughtful gift. It can be used daily as an inspiration to what to do with your life to destress. It is well thought out and worth it.
