Sorry I won't be reviewing this book. Didn't quite catch my attention. The main character didn't seem to fit the era well enough.

A good story but I found my enjoyment was marred somewhat by the writing style. I would like to think that it reflects 1800s American Indians’ command of the English language but I’m not sure. Although the story has elements of danger I found I did not connect emotionally with the characters and was hoping to find deeper description to hook me. Not a bad story, just didn’t grasp me personally.

I loved this book and the complicated love between an Native American and a Soldier set in a beautifully described world just after the Civil War.

Michelle did a great job with this story. It's a complex story that may have been better served as a series. Further development of Morning Dove's life before meeting Clinton, as well as more on their relationship and life in Canada would have been appreciated. I wanted more, especially at the end. Perhaps a sequel is in the works?

Join Chief Black Kettle, of the Southern Cheyenne Indians, and his adopted daughter, Morning Dove as they strive to find peace in unsettle times that brings Soldier Clinton McKay into their world. Enjoyed these characters and story line set in the changing west of 1800's. This is a new author and would look forward to more of her books.

Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

A fun read with lots of history and just enough romance to keep you engaged. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A good solid read, well written story with likable characters. The story leans more towards historical then romance but has both.

While I was excited to see a new Native American romance, I was greatly disappointed in the writing. I wasn't sure if this book was for young adults or adults, as the writing was so elementary. At times the vocabulary was way to modern to fit in the conversations and it caused me to cringe.
