A good solid read, well written story with likable characters. The story leans more towards historical then romance but has both.

A fun read with lots of history and just enough romance to keep you engaged. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Join Chief Black Kettle, of the Southern Cheyenne Indians, and his adopted daughter, Morning Dove as they strive to find peace in unsettle times that brings Soldier Clinton McKay into their world. Enjoyed these characters and story line set in the changing west of 1800's. This is a new author and would look forward to more of her books.

Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I loved this book and the complicated love between an Native American and a Soldier set in a beautifully described world just after the Civil War.

A good story but I found my enjoyment was marred somewhat by the writing style. I would like to think that it reflects 1800s American Indians’ command of the English language but I’m not sure. Although the story has elements of danger I found I did not connect emotionally with the characters and was hoping to find deeper description to hook me. Not a bad story, just didn’t grasp me personally.
