This is fun, fast paced, steamy and short (coffee break) read with interesting characters with good chemistry and witty dialogues. Refreshing break from longer books, well done
Good things come in small packages.
This book is all of 30 pages, and so much fun. Packed with absolutely delightful characters, their chemistry, the community and everything put together makes this an absolutely enjoyable quick read.

Law & Disorder by Liv Arnold is the story of Jesse Burns and Juliet Jackson.
This was a quick hot read that is almost 30 pages. So if you looking for a quick story/encounter this will work.
I was pretty disappointed in this book.. I found the characters to be interesting and engaging, but there was no story. The intro was intriguing and humorous then they had sex and it was over. I understand it's a short story but I read it in all of 10 minutes and skipped through the raunchy parts.
I received a copy from NetGalley and The Wild Rose Press, Inc in exchange for an honest review. All ideas expressed are my own.

This was a 5 minute read. Basically a 24 page sexual encounter. There was no story plot. Two characters, Jesse a cop and Juliet a lawyer, who live in the same neighborhood.
This book should be a free read, itβs not worth the .99 cent price tag.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A great quick read. I loved it even though it was short. Would definitely read more from this author.
Juliet and Jesse have been at odds in the courtroom on more than one case. They don't like each other at all. He's a cop and she's a lawyer and the book opens to him on the witness stand while she cross examines him and she doesn't like anything he says.
At home after a shower and wrapped in a towel Juliet gets locked out of her house because of her dog. She falls down into a shrub when she tries to get through a window that won't budge. Her towel falls down and that's when Jesse shows up from work to go to his house next door, he gets a little surprise. They didn't get along but Jesse offers to help get her door open.
Once inside the sparks fly and they find themselves drawn to one another as one thing leads to another.
This was a really short story/novella of just 24 pages. I would have liked it more if there had a little more story to it but it was a fun little romp.
Disclosure: I received this book free from NetGalley but all opinions and thoughts are my own.
I recieved a digital arc from Netgalley and Backlit Pr in exchange for an honest review.
Short and sweet, there's not a lot too it though. Took me all of 20 minutes to read.
The characters are cute and it would have been brilliant if there was more to it than just a little sex, which took up the majority of the book.
I can't download the ARC, was achieved before I noticed the book was in my dashboard. Sorry can't give a review.

Wait, what? Why is this read only 25 pages long?? GIVE ME MORE.
Juliet is a kick-ass lawyer who has to deal with Jesse in the courtroom. When she comes home, she doesn't even catch a break as he's been her cocky and obnoxious neighbor for the last four years.
When Juliet's dog takes a run for it, she finds herself locked out of her house, dog in hand, wet and wearing only a towel. Needless to say, I think we all know who comes to her rescue.
By the time I started this, it was over, and my rating comes from the fact that I'm so disappointed that I'm left without character development, more interactions, and a full love story. The story felt a little disjointed to me, but I'm guessing that mostly has to do with the fact that it was squeezed into such a short amount of pages.
If this ever releases as a long story, I'll be the first one back, picking up a copy!
This was more of a scene than a short story even. It was basically one interaction between the participants, with very brief activities before and after. Their relationship seemed to switch from animosity to affection at the drop of a hat. Of course, it was obviously initiated by lust, but it still seemed remarkably quick, especially after four years of supposed hostility between them. The accompanying scenes, although cute in their own right, were rather disjointed and didn't seem to fit into the narrative that well. Perhaps in the context of a longer story they would have made more sense. The writing itself was rather amateurish and the dialogue stilted. I do not know how it garnered all of the other rave reviews I've been seeing about it.
This was a super short story about an attorney and a police officer, an enemy to lovers story. It was super short and didnβt really give you enough to get invested in the characters. All in all it was a decent quick read

A hot and quick read. Let's face it, with a 30-page short story, you can't really expect much in the way of character development or backstory. That being said, some of the writing was a bit kludgy, and I felt as if the author tried to throw in a bit of "moral" at the end (be kind because you never know what someone else is going through), but for what it was, it wasn't a bad little read.

I enjoyed this one, but it was way too short! I would definitely read more of this story. If you want a quick, fun read, this one is for you.
Good book, well written. Just way too short. Maybe 50 pages. I would be interested in a much longer story with the characters.
This short story sizzles. A lawyer who battles with her next door neighbor, a law enforcement officer, during the day combust during the evening. I would have appreciated character development and more story line, as I am sure there could be for this couple. Their neighbors were interesting and could have added significantly to a community vibe.
This book was waaaay to short! I thought it was a mistake saying 25 pages?! It was to short to get enough of a story worth while thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
This was a very short novella. I understand that given the length, the characters and plot weren't very fleshed out, but I was hoping that there would be a bit more for Jesse and Juliet to go from enemies to lovers. The story was quick and enjoyable, but nothing really stood out for me.
An extremely short story about an attorney and a police sergeant who are both archenemies in court and next door neighbours. In this story they share a moment of sizzling passion which makes Juliet reexamine her opinion of Jess. They also discover a secret about another reclusive neighbour and help to bring him into their little close-knit community.
I expected something longer and more developed. This was basically an extended erotic scene. The premise is great and there is a lot of potential, so I hope the author is going to write a full novel about these characters.
