Description
Lawyer Juliet Jackson has come head to head with Sergeant Jesse Burns on numerous occasions in court. He is provoking. Pigheaded. Punch-worthy. They don't get along. Not one little bit. The unfortunate fact he's also her next-door neighbor brings her loathing off the charts. But when Juliet's caught locked outside her home in nothing but a skimpy towel, she must swallow her pride and turn to Jesse for help. She doesn't expect the explosive chemistry between them and can't help but wonder if Jesse's as demanding in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Wild Rose Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first time reading this author. Thanks is a short very short (30 pages) read. It literally took like 10 minutes if that. I enjoyed the story but it was to quick and a little disjointed. It was funny though. I give it 3.5 stars.
Law & Disorder is an super hot short story about a cop and attorney, adversaries in court but neighbors for four years who finally find out they have a lot in common. While I totally enjoyed the story and it’s humor, I was very disappointed in its length. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this story.
I thought this was a very fun short story/novella. I haven't read anything by Liv Arnold before but I think that will be changing! I really loved her writing style and choice of words. I would definitely be interested in a more full-length novel about Jesse and Juliet. Even though the story was short, I felt like I could really sense their chemistry which I think is impressive to pull off in a short story. If you are looking for a quick, sexy read I definitely recommend Law & Disorder. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for this ARC!
This is a very quick story. It has Juliet Jackson a lawyer and Sergeant Jesse Burns, who has been at odds with one another in the court room where the book opens. To find out that they are neighbors and have been for years. Now Juliet gets locks out of her home with only a towel on and after making it around to the back yard she is confident that she can make it to the window that is open. But alas she did not. She also lost her towel. That same moment her neighbor that is right Jesse Burns arrives from work and sees her in the shrubs. After appreciating the new shrubs he gets his tools where he is able to get her into her house. It is there that she once again losses her towel and now all bets are off, along with everything else. Will Jesse decide to use his cuffs on the lawyer since he is still in uniform? You will have to read and find out. A very good short story.
This was such a short, seemingly incomplete story. I suppose it makes the readercome to their own conclusions about many things that went on in the book. I honestly don’t know how I feel about this story because while it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t the greatest either. It was okay and over in a flash

I enjoyed this one, but it was way too short! I would definitely read more of this story. If you want a quick, fun read, this one is for you.
Good book, well written. Just way too short. Maybe 50 pages. I would be interested in a much longer story with the characters.
This short story sizzles. A lawyer who battles with her next door neighbor, a law enforcement officer, during the day combust during the evening. I would have appreciated character development and more story line, as I am sure there could be for this couple. Their neighbors were interesting and could have added significantly to a community vibe.
An extremely short story about an attorney and a police sergeant who are both archenemies in court and next door neighbours. In this story they share a moment of sizzling passion which makes Juliet reexamine her opinion of Jess. They also discover a secret about another reclusive neighbour and help to bring him into their little close-knit community.
I expected something longer and more developed. This was basically an extended erotic scene. The premise is great and there is a lot of potential, so I hope the author is going to write a full novel about these characters.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Wild Rose Press Inc. for the ARC provided in exchange for an honest opinion.
A short, quick and entertaining read.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
Law & Order is an extremely short and sexy story that I enjoyed very much.
Attorney Juliet Jackson and Sergeant Jesse Burn are neighbors who are not very neighborly toward each other. Due to their respective occupations, they sometimes end up in the same courtroom verbally sparring on behalf of a case. A funny incident brings them passionately together which evolves into much more.
Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.
Okaaaayyyy, so there is a short story and there is a short story... And this one is like: very short. As in: you sit down to read and before your coffee is getting cold, you are done.
It was a funny and steamy read, but it is a bit of 'wham-bam-thank-you-madam'. Basically because you run out of pages. So if you have ten minutes to spare, you can read this one. Three out of five stars and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
This was a super short story about an attorney and a police officer, an enemy to lovers story. It was super short and didn’t really give you enough to get invested in the characters. All in all it was a decent quick read
3.5 stars
A hot and quick read. Let's face it, with a 30-page short story, you can't really expect much in the way of character development or backstory. That being said, some of the writing was a bit kludgy, and I felt as if the author tried to throw in a bit of "moral" at the end (be kind because you never know what someone else is going through), but for what it was, it wasn't a bad little read.
This was a very short read which I wasn’t expecting. It was basically sexy times and then the book was done. So if you are looking for an erotic scene in a short book, this one is for you. Thank you for the ARC.
I can't download the ARC, was achieved before I noticed the book was in my dashboard. Sorry can't give a review.

Law & Disorder rating: 😐
Wait, what? Why is this read only 25 pages long?? GIVE ME MORE.
Juliet is a kick-ass lawyer who has to deal with Jesse in the courtroom. When she comes home, she doesn't even catch a break as he's been her cocky and obnoxious neighbor for the last four years.
When Juliet's dog takes a run for it, she finds herself locked out of her house, dog in hand, wet and wearing only a towel. Needless to say, I think we all know who comes to her rescue.
By the time I started this, it was over, and my rating comes from the fact that I'm so disappointed that I'm left without character development, more interactions, and a full love story. The story felt a little disjointed to me, but I'm guessing that mostly has to do with the fact that it was squeezed into such a short amount of pages.
If this ever releases as a long story, I'll be the first one back, picking up a copy!
A great quick read. I loved it even though it was short. Would definitely read more from this author.
Juliet and Jesse have been at odds in the courtroom on more than one case. They don't like each other at all. He's a cop and she's a lawyer and the book opens to him on the witness stand while she cross examines him and she doesn't like anything he says.
At home after a shower and wrapped in a towel Juliet gets locked out of her house because of her dog. She falls down into a shrub when she tries to get through a window that won't budge. Her towel falls down and that's when Jesse shows up from work to go to his house next door, he gets a little surprise. They didn't get along but Jesse offers to help get her door open.
Once inside the sparks fly and they find themselves drawn to one another as one thing leads to another.
This was a really short story/novella of just 24 pages. I would have liked it more if there had a little more story to it but it was a fun little romp.
Disclosure: I received this book free from NetGalley but all opinions and thoughts are my own.
I recieved a digital arc from Netgalley and Backlit Pr in exchange for an honest review.
Short and sweet, there's not a lot too it though. Took me all of 20 minutes to read.
The characters are cute and it would have been brilliant if there was more to it than just a little sex, which took up the majority of the book.
I was pretty disappointed in this book.. I found the characters to be interesting and engaging, but there was no story. The intro was intriguing and humorous then they had sex and it was over. I understand it's a short story but I read it in all of 10 minutes and skipped through the raunchy parts.
