In Let It Snow by Sue Moorcroft, we meet Lily, a woman with a loving family. Growing up she was often ridiculed as she lived in an unconventional family with two moms and a sister, Zinnia. Her world is rocked when she finds out that her birth father was a married man with two children and more than the one night stand she was always told. Determined to find her father and his family, she heads to Middledip and eventually on a road trip to Switzerland. Things do not go well, first, Lily meets her older brother and gets a job working in his pub. She doesn't tell him who she is, but finds out about her father and brother. When the opportunity arises to drive a teenage band, The Middletones, to perform in the Christmas markets of Switzerland, she agrees to take them, but ends up with a seriously injured arm, so her friend and co-worker offers to be the driver. Zinnia blames her for their mothers splitting up, so when she leaves they are not speaking. With a full van of teenagers and instruments, a dalmatian and a man she is attracted to, they head off.

One think I always expect from Sue Moorcroft is a book with some meat to it, issues that are realistic and relatable and lots of emotions. I really enjoyed the characters in this book, the setting, the snowy activities, the relationships and the food. With Lily on a journey of discovery, there is a lot of fun, and some romance. Of course there has to be some angst that occurs when Lily's brothers find out who she is and that the man they thought was perfect was not. Isaac was an amazing character, giving up what he wanted to care for someone from his past that needed him. His dalmatian, Doggo, was a hoot. He added some comic relief and cozy feelings to some of the more tense moments. Will Isaac and Lily get together? Will Lily and her brothers be able to have a relationship? What is going to happen to Lily, Zinnia and their mother's relationships? This is a wonderful story steeped in Winter and Christmas fun that I recommend.

When Lily finds out who her father is she begins a quest to get to know his family but will she get more than she bargained for?

This is such a wonderful Christmas read. Snow, romance and singing...perfect for snuggling under a blanket on a freezing winter's afternoon. Another Sue Moorcroft hit.

Although this has a Christmas theme, it's good reading any time of year, As always, Moorcroft writes good characters, fun dialogue, and good atmospherics, Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A happy read!

Must admit that unfortunately I’m not a huge fan of Sue Moorcroft’s books. I’ve read a few in the hope that one day I’ll just click with them but that’s yet to happen. As with her other books, I found this to be quite slow and hard to read. There’s never any real drama and no cliffhangers that make you desperate to continue - I seem to just plod along. I’ll keep trying though and maybe one day I’ll find one that I thoroughly enjoy!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

Lily had an unconventional upbringing with her sister Zinnia and two mothers Roma and Patsie and had always believed that she was the result of a one night stand, so she is really shocked when she finds out that her mother had an affair for several months and never told him that she was pregnant and that she had two half brothers! Finding one of the brothers running a pub in Middledip she moves there and gets a part time job in his bar..... but will she ever be able to tell him her true identity? When she and her friends get the opportunity to go to Switzerland to sing she jumps at the chance as that is where the other brother lives.... can they ever be a family? Throw the sexy temporary bar manager Isaac into the mix and there will definitely be fun and games!

A lovely warm book and great to be back in Middledip, as always there is plenty of fun and great characters and of course Doggo who stole the show!

This was a very cute book. Reading a Christmas book in the summer heat made it feel as though everything is going to be ok.

When I started this book, I had no idea which direction it was going to take and sorry I left so long before I picked it up.

This is a great tale of family life, and how it is not just about blood but the family you immerse yourself in and the community you are in.

I loved the crossovers from Lily’s family life, the choir and her work, and how it was not boxed but part of a whole.

This is a fabulous book to read and one I would recommend to anyone.

Last notes, I would love a Doggo! Someone who brings all his humans together.

Unfortunately I did not get on with this book and therefore cannot rate it very highly. I really struggled to connect with the characters and storyline.

Lily has grown up with two mum's and grows to know more about her conception (No it's not like you think). In order to get to know her second family Lily works in the village pub part time alongside her own exhibition design company. Where she meets the handsome relief manager Issac. Until she is offered the trip of a lifetime to sing at an exhibition with her friends in Switzerland. Will Lily make it to Switzerland ? And will she manage to integrate herself into her second family.

The beautiful cable cars drew me to this book due to my favourite place beib Switzerland and this being a great symbol of it.

This book is a great cosy read for when the weather is rough but your dreaming of those winter days by the fire no having to go out.

As well as always giving you the notion that life is for living, learning and making mistakes. Something important for Young people and all adults to hear in modern society where things can be tough.

Although their are some emotional subjects included in this book such as divorce, breast cancer house fires, affairs and artificial insemination. I do not feel this takes away from the cosy feel of the book but integrates modern day subjects, eg lesbianism, with a romantic story creating the feeling of acceptance. This is what is needed when homophobia remains so rife.

The characters are all very likeable and are 3D particularly Hayley who demonstrates well how we all have battles and demons and time is required to get to know them before judging.

However at some points, in the first half, the book is very repetitive about Issac going abroad to live and Lily's secret. This was brought up in nearly every setence but only the surface eg Lily not wanting to tell Tubes. This not only slowed down the first half but meant it took a long time to get any deeper connection to the situation.

Furthermore I felt the very end slightly rushed when Issac is in Switzerland. Lily does not ask too many questions or show any indifference in emotions considering how emotional Lily felt about ending things with Issac.

Absolutely loved Let It Snow by Sue Moorcroft. I really wasn't surprised either, to be honest. I could really engage with the characters in this book and completely filled my need for a warming Christmas novel! I cannot wait to see what she brings out next!

This Christmas, the villagers of Middledip are off on a very Swiss adventure…

Family means everything to Lily and Zinnia Cortez and, growing up in their non-conventional family unit, they and their two mums couldn’t have been closer.

So it’s a bolt out of the blue when Lily finds her father wasn’t the anonymous one-night stand she’s always believed. She is in fact the result of her mum's reckless affair with a married man.

Confused, but determined to discover her true roots, Lily sets out to find the family she’s never known – an adventure that takes her from the frosted, thatched cottages of Middledip to the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland, via a Christmas market or two along the way…

Stunning imagery, likeable characters, cute storyline albeit a little predictable! Enjoyable way to spend a sunday afternoon. Many thanks to netgalley for an arc in return for an honest opinion.

A cozy, heartwarming story set during the Christmas time in the village of Middledip. The story has a strong plot, interesting side stories and a variety of interesting characters. The romance is also very cute! I especially enjoyed their trip to Switzerland with all the descriptions of the scenery!
