This was the first Christmas book I've read this season and what a wonderful way to start the festive period. It has all the elements you might expect - a winter wonderland in Switzerland, Christmas carols, a Christmas market and a slow-burning romance that will melt the snow by the end. Underlying the festivities though is the serious problem of Lily trying to discover her roots and things not going quite to plan. I enjoyed reading about her non-conventional family ( which actually is becoming more conventional today) and the relationship between her, her mums and her 'sister'. The descriptions of the winter scenery really set the scene for the book and are sure to put you in a Christmassy mood.

This gripped me from the start, the diifferent relationships and situations were all realistic of life as life can sometimes feel like one big mess. I absolutely loved this. The more book I read by sue moorcroft the more I'm becoming a fan!

Family sagas and then second chance love collide in this feel good novel that sorts out a tangled set of relationships.
I liked that the parents were a same sex couple and that not only had they had a very long life together, but that they had weathered some tricky issues with both women wanting babies at the same time, and subsequent, and later, affairs.
The book showed the difficulties that children of same sex couples can have at school, but that they can also grow up to be ‘normal’ and well balanced adults. Demonstrating that the lack of a male figure in their family was no deterrent to a happy childhood and future careers etc.
The novel was well rounded and the style was coherent and well written. The storyline took us to pubs and Switzerland and singing and included a lively dog for those readers who need a family pet to be included. There was enough drama and misunderstandings to allow for the norm of this type of genre with a happy ending

This book surprised me from the off by tackling a situation I have never seen addressed in this type of book before so I knew I was in for something a bit different from this novel from the beginning. We are thrown straight in to the extraordinary life of Lily and her start riding the wave of her unusual circumstances along with her.

Once I got past the dramatic prologue and in to the story proper, I was enchanted by the setting of Middledip and the community that centres around The Three Fishes pub. Sue has created a cast of characters that are immediately warm and enchanting people to spend time with, and it was a joy to spend time here, learning about their lives. By this point I was in love with Lily and desperately wanted things to work out for her, and was delighted when the delicious Isaac came into her orbit, but of course the path of true love never runs smooth…

The inclusion of the snowy trip to Switzerland, with carol singing and Christmas markets, gives this book the perfect Christmas flavour and made me want to jump on the first plane to Zurich in a set of sexy thermals. My favourite romance books always include a wishlist travel experience and this book did not disappoint in this respect. I defy any reader not to be yearning after Swiss chocolate and cuckoo clocks by the end of the novel.

Aside from the Christmassy flavour and the lure of armchair travel, the heart of this book is the story of love and family. The family you are born into, the family you create and the family you find in the hearts and company of the people you choose to have around you. The story is warm and enchanting, addressing some difficult and unusual topics in an approachable and sensitive way, and giving the reader that warm, fuzzy, contented feeling we have come to expect from a Sue Moorcroft novel.

The perfect book to curl up with on a cold, autumn evening and escape into for a few hours. Fans of the author and the genre will not be disappointed.

My Review
I've taken quite a shine to this authors books after reading her previous one "A Summer To Remember" recently.
It was a little strange reading a christmas book while on holidays in the sun but I couldn't have enjoyed it more.
A lovely light, entertaining read with a little romance along the way for good measure.
We meet Lily Cortez who has grown up in a somewhat unconventional family life with her sister and two mums.
Always thinking that she was the product of a one night stand, Lily is astonished when her mum tells her about an affair she had with Lily's dad.
When a longing to know more about her dad's family takes her to a small pub where she finds herself settling into village life amongst the locals, Lily finds she needs to keep her secret for a little longer.
But the lovely Isaac is on hand to win her over with a little help from his beautiful Dalmatian Doggo.....
So with the choir group "The Middletones" heading off on their Christmas trip to Switzerland, the will they, won't they romance between Lily and Isaac and the knowledge that it could all come crashing down for Lily, this one makes for a fabulous read.

Gorgeous story for winter months. However I felt it took some time to get going and the story didn’t really get interesting until about halfway through the book.

My Thoughts :
Here we meet sisters, Lily and Zinnia, raised by two mums Roma and Patsie. When Lily learns her dad wasnt who she thought he was and is infact a married man her mum had an affair with, wanting to find out more about her family she heads to Middledip and lays the foundation to get to know her family.
What follows is an adventurous trip to Switzerland, but does the trip go as planned?!.
I loved Lily, she is such a warm and caring character and I found myself routing for her throughout the story and wanting everything to be alright for her. We also see a little romance, some laughter and some tears.
I am always pleased to hear when Sue Moorcroft has a new book out and Let it Snow is a clear winner with beautiful, vivid descriptions of Switzerland this book with have you wishing you could jump on the next plane out.

LET IT SNOW by Sue Moorcroft is excellent in every way and as always I will be on tenterhooks waiting for the next novel from one of my favourite authors.

I thought that this book was excellent, the setting was lovely and the author really brought it all to life for me. I really enjoyed getting to know the different characters, they were so well developed and I warmed to them right from the outset too.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I thoroughly enjoyed it from stunning cover to the fabulous ending!

I’m starting to get in the festive vibe now, well it is the last day of September, and this story is a festive gem. The conflicted romance between two likeable protagonists, Lily and Issac, is at the heart of this story. Rather like a festive ‘pass the parcel’, it has so many layers, with a surprise every time you peel one-off.

There is a family drama, as Lily’s search for the other half of her family, raises hidden secrets in the other half. There tumultuous consequences. for Lily, Zinnia and their mothers. This story is wonderfully contemporary, internet dating and same-sex relationships are interwoven into the complex plot, which adds to the story’s authenticity.

A significant part of the story takes place in Switzerland, where Lily and some of the villagers, take their choir to deliver some quintessentially British Christmas cheer. This is where the title really comes into its own, The ambience, food and scenery are beautifully vivid.

The darker themes explored in this story are a good contrast to the festive frivolity and fun, It reads perfectly as a standalone, even though it features characters from the Middledip series.

The perfect book to get you in the festive mood. With family, friends and sparkling romance wrapped beautifully in a snow-covered world.

I adore Christmas-themed novels and love Sue Moorcroft’s books (I’ve read them all!) so I knew this would be a fab read.

We return to the village of Middledip (hooray!) and follow the story of two sisters, Lily and Zinnia, who have two mums. Lily then finds out that her biological father is not the person she’s been led to believe it is, so she travels to Switzerland, determined to find out the truth.

What a brainwave to set a Christmas book mostly in Switzerland; imagining all those snow-covered mountains took my mind to Christmas straight away!

A lovely, heartwarming read to get you in the mood for Christmas!

Well, I was excited to read another Sue Moorcroft book yet I really couldn’t get into this one. I saw all the great reviews. I found it hard to get motivated to continue reading. Maybe I just didn’t give it enough time. I find if I have to struggle to pick up the book, I should give up and find some other book to read. I hope the next book Ms. Moorcroft writes will catch my interest.

I love Sue Moorcroft novels and this one was no exception.
It's heartwarming, full of likeable and realistic characters and with a lovely setting.
I appreciated the well crafted plot, the character development, the unusual type of family and Doggo.
I look forward to reading another novel by this author.

The thing I like about Moorcroft, is that she’s not scared to deal with modern-day issues that might alarm some readers. The writing is strong. The story of Lily finding her way around a couple of stranger half- brothers and all set in delightful Switzerland., charming. Excellent characterisations. Delightful locations and a plot you can sink your teeth in! Perfect Christmas read.

Sue Moorcroft has done it again. Every time I open one of her books, it feels like an embrace from an old friend and Let It Snow is no different.
On the surface you could be forgiven that this is quirky festive romance, but look between the covers and you will discover romance, heartbreak and unknown siblings. Proving that no one is perfect but as long as we swallow our fears and at least try, we maybe granted the things we long for, career success, family or love.
Along with some deep topics there is a lightness to this story, from Dalmatian to choir members and teenage crushes, Let it snow is a must read for anyone looking for a winter escape.

An absolutely perfect Christmas read, get read to curl up, hot drink, toasty fire and fall in love with this book and Sue’s writing. The description makes you feel like you are there, the characters are adorable and it’s so funny with just the right amount of drama and tension, perfect read.

I have to admit, it took me a while to warm up to this one. Maybe it's just that I remember how much I've enjoyed Sue Moorcroft's previous work, or maybe it's just that it took quite a while for the story to "really" start. Either way, by the time I was about 2/5 done with this book? I was also about 90% *done* with this book.
However.
- And this is the big however -
Somehow, the moment I got past the halfway point, I couldn't be ripped away from this book. Maybe it's that they finally got to Switzerland - and what a lovely Christmassy place to go! - maybe it's that the lengthy descriptions finally slowed down a bit. Either way, the second half of this book left me with no doubt that Sue Moorcroft *knows* how to make you almost live through whatever she's describing, from the splendid descriptions of the Swiss countryside and towns, to breaking my heart for Lily - on multiple occasions
All in all, this was a really enjoyable read, I just wish that first half would've hurried up a little.

This book is such a cosy and feel good festive read. The storyline alternates between the village of Middledip and also Switzerland, as Lily tries to secretly get to know her half brothers, who are unaware of her existence.
Along the way, her new boss Isaac catches her attention. She also has to decide whether she should keep her family happy by not getting to know her brothers. This book explores where loyalty lies with family members and also friends.
This book was very well written, and had a few surprises and twists that I was not expecting. I really enjoyed reading this book. I had read a previous book by this author, which I enjoyed. I am delighted to find out that she has other books set in Middledip, so I am eagerly looking forward to reading them.
