"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
The development of the topic and main characters of this storyline isn't what one would expect, therefore making it very unusual and interesting.
Ty, one of the Everett brothers is an injured bull rider who doesn't remember a section of his past. His main aim is to now return to the rodeo ring and reclaim his crown.
Hannah, a previous rodeo queen is well acquainted with Ty and decides that it's time to visit and confront him. She has good reasons to do so, but Ty isn't the same man who she knew. Part of him is missing!
It's rather absorbing to see the two of them navigate through Ty's dilemma which he hiddes well until Hannah comes along. Upon learning about some of his forgotten past, he tries his best to be the gentleman who he is and succeeds most of the time.
The story develops at a steady pace and ends beautifully. It is rather emotional and I admire Hannah for her perseverence and Ty for just being Ty! The insecurities brought about by his childhood are addressed and dealt with in the most realistic and effective manner. It's a very rewarding read.
I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
Great book! I love ending a book with a smile on my face. I can't pass up a good amnesia story so I decided to read this book even though I hadn't read any other books by Caitlin Crews. This is book 2 in the Cold River Ranch series and I didn't have any problems following along even though I haven't read the 1st book. I am looking forward to going back and reading it now. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Ty and Hannah have history together and most of it has been good. But the love they had for them can't be denied. An enjoyable love story that I recommend.
I anticipated Ty finding out about being a dad just the way that he did. I just wish it had been earlier in the story. Hannah is strong, mainly because she is forced to be. Same thing with Ty. They were made for each other.
Thus is the story of 2 people who were hurt, or damaged by their fathers growing up. Hannah was raised by a single mom after get father and his family disowned her. Ty was both physically and mentally abused by his father.
They meet and have an instant connection. They get married in Vegas but keep it quiet until she finishes her reign as Miss Rodeo.
But due to an accident, memory loss and pregnancy, they end up going their separate ways.
When Hannah decides to confront him and ask for a divorce, things get shaken up. Especially since Ty doesn't even remember being married
I struggled with this book. I thought it started good but started to drag a little bit. I also found it depressing. I haven't read the first book in the series, so I'm not sure if that would have made a difference.
This is book 2 in the Cold River Ranch series and while you can read it as a stand alone, I would recommend reading book 1 first so you get more of the backstory. This one is about Ty Everett and Hannah Monroe. Ty left home as soon as he turned 18 to join the rodeo. But after a horrific fall, he has to return home in order to heal. But because the fall caused partial amnesia, he doesn't realize that he left someone behind. Hannah gave up everything for Ty. And after the past 18 months, she tracks him down in order to get a divorce. But she doesn't expect him to not remember any of their time together. But after everything that has happened, can they make a fresh start. Especially when he finds out about their son?
I absolutely loved this book! Ty has been through so much and has such horrible scars from what his parents pulled with him and his brothers. You can't help but love him and hope he realizes that he is not them. Hannah has just as many scars but part of hers are caused by an overly protective parent. And reading about the thoughts and feelings going through their heads? It breaks your heart. But it also helps you to connect to them and realize that just because someone is smiling doesn't mean all is right in their world. I loved every second of this book and couldn't put it down once I started it! I can't wait for the next brother's story now!! Great read!
I loved Ty and Hannah’s page turning story of romance. The author did a great job in depicting their backgrounds in order to make you understand the characters better. I have not read the first book in this series but want to do so now. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Many thanks to St. Martin’s Press and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I didn't know that this was part of a series and actually the second book however I wasn't lost. So we meet Ty a champion bull rider and his romance with Rodeo Queen Hannah whom he married. After an accident Ty loses his memory and goes back home leaving Hannah and her baby. Now two years later she comes for a divorced having not known that he had lost his memory..what? Now you are wondering why she took two years? But what boggled my mind was that she comes for a divorce and she doesn't mentioned their child and that they were in a relationship I couldn't accept it and couldn't believe that this was happening..So yeah I lost the interest in the book when I wasn't getting this taken care of..
"Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy" by Caitlin Crews
A contemporary LOVE story not to be missed. Oh, what a tangled web is woven when secrets are too well woven and fear is the catalyst. I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest review. Well, I couldn't put this story down as I was hooked from the get-go. As I was reading this story I realized I had read Ty's brother Gray's story ... I checked my file, and, it was almost a year ago that I read "A True Cowboy Christmas". If you read and enjoyed Gray and Abby's story you surely do not want to pass this one by.... by the same token when you read Ty and Hannah's story... you will want to read Gary's story, too. (the re-read is on my TBR list). There are more family members... and that just may mean more stories to make us laugh, shed some tears, and, another chance to visit old friends, too. I think this would make a great book club read... That said. Happy Reading !!
Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is a true cowboy read. Ty is all cowboy, with the swagger, bravado, and complicated feelings. A second chance at romance that had me rooting for this couple. Ty is a bull rider who has taken pride in his bad reputation but is suffering from a lost of 2 years of memories due to a run in with a bull. No one expects much from him and he hides behind his fake smiles and people pleasing ways. Hannah also hides behind her smiles. I absolutely adored how she could turn on her Rodeo Queen personality during confrontations and get her point across. This series is on the three Everett brothers and their very different personalities. They had grown up with a father who pitted them against one another. With their father now deceased, the brother’s relationships with each other is a work in progress and the healing has begun. Wonderful series and am eager to read Brady’s story next.

An intriguing modern day love story that can make your emotions run from sad to happy. You can imagine, or perhaps know, the many pitfalls that can entrap a young couple. But compound that with a secret marriage and an apparently unwanted pregnancy by one of the two who feels that they would not make a good parent owing to their upbringing. Then put the icing on the cake by adding in a nearly death experience where the individual loses their memory of the two years prior to the event. Can love find a way to conquer these events and bring two star crossed lovers together again? Well to find out you will have to read this excellent book.
I have rated this book 4 stars and would purchase it for a friend.
I received an ARC from Netgalley for my unbiased review.
What a beautiful love story for a summer read. You will be swept away. Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is one fun sexy book that is a must read!! Happy reading everyone!!
Cowboys and rodeo are always fun to read.
This book had cowboys, a little bit of romance, some family drama.
I felt this book was a bit too much since I kept skipping pages. The pace of the book, the heroine and the hero, the plot itself fell flat for me. It could have been much better if the whole thing was succinct.
Gripping and emotional, Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is a true second chance romance with all of the struggles and turmoil that go along with that. The story follows Hannah, a former rodeo queen turned mom as she confronts her estranged husband, Ty. The couple had a falling out just before Ty was severely injured, so Hannah has been waiting for him to reach out - that is, until she realizes he may have suffered some memory loss during his accident. As the couple come face to face for the first time in over a year, Hannah has to determine if he truly doesn’t remember her or is choosing to forget about their marriage.
If this sounds intense and emotional, that’s because it is. There were many times while I was reading that I was convinced I didn’t like the book, but I also couldn’t put it down because I just had to see where it led. The writing draws you in from the start, and the complicated relationship keeps you reading. Neither character is perfect but they are likeable enough that you want to see them find happiness - and Ty hasn’t had a lot of that in his life since Hannah left. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was drawn into this angsty romance with a slow build and a steady dose of emotion throughout. It’s a refreshingly different type of story.
I think this is about as Cowboy as you can get💚💙
The mains Ty (bullrider) and Hannah (Rodeo Queen), fall in love and their future looks supposedly great.
Then Tough Luck wrecks Ty, he snaps at Hannah and they each go back to their own families. Ty's family consists only of 2 brothers, Gray (Book 1) and Brady (Book 3), since their sperm donor had passed recently and their biological incubator had run far and away long ago. I just cannot call him their father bc he wasn't. Just a mean ol' snake who'd left all 3 men clueless to emotion or love in any sense and the egg donor who left for her own selfish reasons, leaving 3 little boys helpless and abandoned.
Now, Hannah's got her acidic Mother Luanne, but at least she's there, along with her Aunt Bit, both loving her in their own way. There's also a whole family who'd alienated Luanne when she got pregnant with Hannah. It appears Hannah in all her life, had never had any interaction with them, or with the married man that had impregnated her mother.
All these emotions, or lack of, just pour from the pages. I can hear their voices, see their faces, watch them struggle to feel what is or isn't in their hearts, or run away scared.
Yes, this is that good!
Hannah gathers up her Beauty Queen courage and goes after Ty to confront and fight for their love. This is truly a crap on a cracker moment when she realizes Ty has selective amnesia, nor has he admitted that to anyone else. So no one knows about her, including her own husband.
I think I've said too much lol, but I really did get into this journey!
One drawback. There's a lot of redundant mind talking, reiterating, where I don't think the author gives enough credit to the readers to feel or connect on their own. Please read thru those because the journey really is one heck of a lot of 8 second rides.
I received an advance reader's copy thru NetGalley from St Martin's Press and I am leaving my opinion voluntarily.
This is a completely new author to me, and all the second book in the series, but I really enjoyed this one! So much so I think that I need to find the first in the series...
This was a redemption story for both the leads but in different ways...
I'm guessing that it's little bro Brady's turn next... and I can't wait to see how that one turns out
I really love the cover, but unfortunately I could not really get into this one. Nothing really happened that really caught and held my attention. There was some good world building, though.
A sweet invigorating and gusty tale, about a love that keeps getting stronger, no matter the circumstances or storms it weathers. This love was felt throughout every page in this book, although in my book Hannah was a bit harsh on Ty. I understand why she was like that though, she had to protect her heart from getting hurt again but she soon realized that was a hopeless cause for she is a woman that loves very deeply.
Ty Everett has spent the past 18 months back home with his brothers, running their ranch that was left to them by their horribly abusive father Max Ty was a champion Bull rider until h was crushed under one. and, has been trying to heal. Problem is that he has no memory of the two years of his life before the accident. No one knows that and, Ty really wants to believe that his memory will return if he tries hard enough.
Hannah Monroe has finally gathered the courage to face Ty and, let him know what she thinks about him for saying the horrible things he said when she came to the hospital and told him she was pregnant. This man is her husband and, the father of her child and, she wants to decide whether shoe tells him anything or, whether it's finally time for her to let go.
The horrible childhoods these two have had to deal with and, their lack of faith in themselves makes reconnecting with each other a very large mountain to cross..
They both need to decide whether or not it is worth it
