Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy won't leave you cold-hearted, the sweet second chance romance will leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling instead. Rodeo Queen Hannah Monroe has not heard from her husband in eighteen months, since he told her to get out of his hospital room and never come back. She is raising their baby with her mother and aunt's help and now wants a divorce. After driving all the way from Georgia to Colorado, Hannah cannot seem to hold on to her anger when it seems the cowboy who abandoned her does not even recall their relationship. Ty Everett, rodeo star, got whooped by a bull and has forgotten the last two years of his life. He wants to make a go at the marriage with the pretty rodeo queen that he cannot remember but does not want to let go of. Both of them have some major daddy issues that make it hard to build a relationship on but true love always seems to find a way. Just a little water under the bridge and they find their way to a sweet HEA that leaves you with a smile. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

I’m not sure I’d describe Ty Everett as having a ‘cold heart’. I’d probably say a deeply troubled man who has had a terrible childhood, along with his brothers, and is dealing with severe injuries from a rodeo accident. And as the book describes her, ‘Rodeo Queen’ Hannah Monroe is a key to his recovery.

Don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll just say, for what I loved about this story? My heart went out to both these characters. Ty’s memory is blank, for about a two year period (due to his accident) and he doesn’t remember Hannah or the fact that they were secretly married. The other big problem is…Hannah doesn’t have any idea Ty can’t remember her!

There is heartache, true, but both Hannah and Ty need one another in order to make it. There is a part of the story (about Ty and his brothers) that I believe is an overall series story that warms my heart. I loved Ty’s and Hannah’s story too, even when it made me sad or angry with some of the characters (can you hear me, Hannah’s mom???), and I read it straight thru. Great read. I received an ARC from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

I received this ARC for an honest review. This book is about Hannah and Ty. Hannah is a rodeo queen, and Ty is a rodeo champion. They met during the tour and fell in love, They had to keep their love and marriage in secret until the tour was over because it would ruin Hannah’s reputation. On the night Hannah found out she was pregnant and told Ty, he was angry about the baby and got stomped on by a bull. When Hannah got to the hospital Ty kicks her out. About a year later, she decides to confront Ty about the baby. What happens? You must read the book! This is a cute story and I will read another from Caitlin Crews.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is an outstanding western romance by Caitlin Crews. Ms. Crews has delivered a well-written book populated with phenomenal characters. Hannah and Ty married in secret. After fighting about her getting pregnant, Ty gets stomped by a rodeo bull. Ty sends her away from his hospital bed. Hannah arrives at Ty's family ranch in Colorado looking for answers 18 months later. Hannah and Ty's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and a blank memory. I enjoyed reading Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy and look forward to reading more from Caitlin Crews in the future. Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is book 2 of the Cold River Ranch Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Interesting premise- sounded exciting. I was very much interested in this book as a follow up to Gray's.

While Ty is recovering from a horrific rodeo injury he returns home with a little secret- he doesn't remember a big portion of his life. So when Hannah Monroe show ups with her rodeo queen looks, Ty assumes she another buckle bunny. While I like Hannah's character, I did not like her hem hawing around trying to feel Ty out on his memory for what felt like forever before she tells him- Oh I'm you're wife! So then I kept waiting on her to tell him that he has a son since we know it all at this point. But nope- takes forever to get to that point and it's mostly inner dialogue inside the minds of Ty and Hannah.

It was an enjoyable read and finish- just lacking and not for me!

**I received a copy of Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy from Net Galley and St. Martin's Press in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions were not solicited in any way.**

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is the second book in her Cold River Ranch series. I loved the first book but this one panned out to be rather lukewarm but I'll still wait anxiously for the third brother to get his book. This is Ty Everett and Hannah Moore's story.

Hannah Moore who was a former Rodeo Queen met Ty at one of the rodeos where he was injured severely by the bull he was riding. Since his injuries also left him with amnesia and returned back to Cold River, Montana to recover. But he leaves Hannah with two things that she decides he needs to know about one is a child but the other is a surprise. So she decides after 10 months to head to the ranch and find Ty to give him a little information but how will he take it if he doesn't remember?

Ty Everett has always wanted two things to leave the ranch and his alcoholic father and rodeo he's accomplished both enjoying the rodeo bunnies was just a perk. When he meets Hannah it doesn't take long for him to realize that she may be "The One". However, one ride on a rather testy bull will injure him and take all his memories too. When she shows up at the ranch not only does he not know her but she drops a bombshell but only one, so he'll not only try to remember but could he see if they can start over?

My only problem with the story was how bitter Hannah's mother was even though she doesn't accept her bitterness toward men in general (both were abandoned even though Hannah wasn't really) but I still would give the book 4 stars.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is an amnesia second chance romance. Ty and Hannah were rodeo people who secretly married, then a huge fight, then Ty has a bull riding accident and gets amnesia. Two years on, Hannah returns for a divorce, but she has no idea about the amnesia. How can you divorce a guy who doesn't remember marrying you? Obviously, the story is wrapped around a lot of emotional baggage. Will Ty remember Hannah? But, she is also keeping a big secret from Ty. Are they headed for disaster or reconciliation? The story is engaging, entertaining and heart warming. Hannah and Ty are flawed and sympathetic but likeable characters who are in a complex situation. This is the first story I've read by the author, and I will read more. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

In this second of Caitlin Crew's books on the Everett brothers it is the middle brothers turn. This family has much to deal with, in this case Ty's recovery from a bull riding accident. They don't know that Ty suffers from organic mental health issues exacerbated by difficult childhood abuse and neglect. Hannah comes with her own set of problems but has spunk enough to survive discovering Ty's amnesia. This is a highly emotional story that climaxes with one of the most intriguing writing techniques to which I've been exposed. I loved those 8 seconds!
There are great messages of the power of love in this family, and I look forward to the next in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is the story of Ty and Hannah. The book revolves around Ty suffering a tragic rodeo accident which left him with amnesia and Hannah running away from her troubles, which happened to be Ty.

I loved the writing style. I loved Ty and his family dynamic. I loved the premise of Ty's amnesia and not remembering his wife or that they were expecting. I also loved the supporting characters. I loved the idea of a tough, yet glamorous Rodeo Queen. Unfortunately, I did not love Hannah. I felt her constant running and over reliance on her mother was so weak. I also felt that the middle 60ish percent of the story should have been cut. It was just constant Hannah talking in circles to avoid telling Ty essential truths. The reader doesn't even have a hint as to why Hannah ran until around 20%, and then you are still left wondering how she could possibly be such a weak woman. But we did see more Everett family dynamics which really kept me reading. And the ending was very satisfying. I wish the middle were cut and their story picked up after the rodeo. I wanted current events, not Hannah's circles.

Overall a mixed bag for me. There were many aspects I loved but I absolutely do not enjoy reading about weak female leads. I did love the first book in this series and would love to read the next. The setting and family dynamics make the books even more enjoyable. This one was good, I was just expecting a different direction. The author does have a gift in her writing style, Ty gets his redemption, and I love the family dynamics so I would give it a try. This one can stand alone as well.

I like the twist of the hero having amnesia. Ty and Hannah have to find each other again. Ty has to believe he is his own man, and not his father

I know, I know - it is not easy to overcome your upbringing and your personal experiences and try to believe in love and a better future especially when you are not the only one whose happiness is at stake. Though honestly, I just wish that those two had dared to be more open, to simply talk because that would have saved both of them so much heartbreak and fear but alas - they didn't. Even though their lack of real communication sometimes drove me mad, I very much enjoyed reading this book and the well-developed characters in it.

Ty and Hannah were both very lovable characters. Both have been hurt and both have to fight their own insecurities but you can feel that they belong together and could be happy - if they can let go of their fears and let the other one into their life for real.

I loved Hannah a lot with her sparkling....well, not only her personality sparkles but also her clothes. She is still a rodeo queen at heart no matter what happened. With her daring to reach out to him, it's up to Ty to turn their marriage into a real one again - but how can you do that if you don't remember anything about those good times (and the bad) anymore that made you marry someone? Well, to be honest - it would be nice to remember having married and having a wife at all, right? Throw in a little son you didn't know about and. yup, things are a tiny bit complicated.
I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series!

I love Caitlin Crews’s writing and this book was no different. The storyline was interesting and the characters each had their own past to contend with. The only thing I had trouble with was the repeating scenarios when the chapter POV changed. I read about a book a day and I’ve never been a fan. Although it was done tastefully and the transitions were great, it wasn’t for me.

Overall, a fantastic read. My only question...when can I get Brady’s book!

A great read.

This was a very delightful and wonderful read. Hannah and Ty met on the rodeo circuit, but relationship fell apart when Ty is tossed from a bull, trampled on, and ends up with amnesia. He loses all memory of Hannah and when she returns to tell him to try to tell him about their history, he doesn't know her but has an attraction to her from the start.

Hannah is a lovable character who tried not to follow in her mother's footsteps but unfortunately ended up that way. She is a determined individual who has spunk and can dish out what it takes being the Southern girl she was raised to be. Ty’s brothers, Gray and Brady were a welcome addition with their wives to the story who were witty and provided a bit of fun, humor and common sense when needed.

Not having read the first in the series, I plan on reading it. This was a well-written story by Catlin Crews whom I am becoming a fan. Look forward to future reads from this author. Would love to audiobook when avail.

A excellent story. Loved that the cowboy couldn't remember 2 years of his life and in pops someone who knows him into his life. Great story line and characters that will pull you into there lives. I found myself going back and forth on who I was rooting for, sometimes Hannah sometimes Ty. Definitely another great book by the author Caitlin Crews.

In this second of the Cold River Ranch series, Ty Everett has been recovering from a near fatal bull riding injury. He left home at eighteen and lived the rodeo life until then. For the last eighteen months, Ty has worked alongside his brothers, Gray and Brady, on the family ranch. Because of a mean and reprehensible father and being left by his mother, Ty thinks he has no heart or skills to ever be a good man. When a woman shows up he has no memory of, Ty finds himself thrown into a bull ring of a different kind.

Hannah Everett, former rodeo queen and Ty’s secret wife comes to Cold River to confront the man who broke her heart. Since he has no memory of her, Ty also does not remember Hannah was pregnant when she left. Hannah decides to spend time with Ty and see if he deserves to be a father before she tells him all of the truth.

A relationship built on secrets and lies is on shaky ground so it is not surprising that Ty and Hannah have a long hard road to rebuild what they had if that is even possible. Ty is convinced his father poisoned him with his vitriol; Hannah’s mother did a similar number on her. There is so much hurt and dark feelings that have to be overcome on both sides. This book is quite angst ridden and emotional, more so than the first one, which is Gray and Abby’s story. It will take readers on quite a ride as well.

Ty was a rodeo champion before a bull got the better of him. Hannah was a rodeo queen who rode the circuit. They met , fell in love, and secretly married before his accident. After the accident, everything fell apart due to fears and insecurities on both of their parts. Their story takes a turn after Hannah goes looking for Ty to ask foe a divorce, not telling him about their nine-month old son. Things change for her after she realizes that he lost two years of his memory after the accident. Can they get back what they lost with a fresh start or will they just keep hurting each other?

This is the second book in a series about the Everett brothers. Like the earlier book, much of this book is dark in nature. However, the dysfunctional love of the members of the Everett family does come through. I’m looking forward to “Denver’s” story next.

Hannah and Ty met on the rodeo circuit, but their working circumstances meant keeping their relationship a secret. Ty is tossed from a bull, trampled on, and ends up with amnesia, losing all memory of Hannah in his life. When Hannah waltzes back in to his life with an outrageous story of a secret relationship and a surprise wedding, Ty needs to figure out fast if what he’s been searching for has been in front of him all along.

I loved Hannah’s sassy, Southern grit and found Ty’s flirty self growing on me when I realized what a good guy he was. I also got kick out of Ty’s brothers, Gray and Brady. They were nosy, well-meaning siblings with a instinctive protectiveness that was all the funnier because it was in a non-mushy and abrupt kind of way. Gray’s daughter and wife, Becca and Abby, were entertaining as well, providing common sense and humor when the moment was called for.

My one complaint-if the entire book had been as actively conversational as the last 20ish%, I could have easily given 4 stars. But it felt like the majority of talking occurred inside Ty and Hannah’s minds rather then out loud. Amnesia problem aside, I was stuck on why Hannah and Ty didn’t try to re-learn one another as they were now rather than trying to live in the past? Regardless, the end result turned out better then I expected and now I’m hoping Brady’s story is up next.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rating 4.5

Intense and emotional read.

Ty and Hannah have history, boy do they have history. But unfortunately Ty doesn't remember. Hannah shows up at Ty's ranch, Cold River Ranch, to find out once and for all who, what and where Ty stands. But when Hannah shows up she finds that Ty doesn't remember her or their time together. Ty can't remember the last two years of his life. He can't remember his life with Hannah.

Ty life wasn't the greatest, he had an abusive father and a mother who ran off. His family dynamics left him with a lot of baggage and anger, mostly thanks to his dad. He leaves home at eighteen and enters the rodeo life, he's popular and really good. He's lived his life his way. But after his injury he heads home to the family ranch and tries to remember what has happened during those two missing years. Ty also just feels numb/cold emotionally, he just doesn't feel anything. But then Hannah shows up and he begins to feel a pull, some feelings are resurfacing and she's the reason why. He asks her so stay and she agrees with some reservations.

Hannah was a Rodeo Queen. She's been brought up by a Mom who has a lot of issues. Issues due to the fact she had Hannah at 16 and was pretty much ignored by all family members. So she brought Hannah up believing that men were all evil and no good for nothing. Hannah did well in steering clear of men, but not Ty. With Ty things where different, she felt and experienced wonder and pain. Ty and Hannah married in secret as she was to remain single as a Rodeo Queen. So they decided to keep this hush until her reign was over. But the best part of them being together was their baby, Jack. After Ty's accident and the revelations that she was pregnant a lot of sad and terrible things where said. Hannah left and had Jack. But she never forgot Ty. And so after some rumors surfaced Hannah decided to find out once and for all where Ty really stood. She leaves Jack with her mother and heads to Colorado.

The two begin slowly opening up, more so Hannah as she has the keys to Ty's two years. But Hannah realizes that with Ty's memory loss and him feeling "nothing" she need to tread carefully. The revelation of their marriage is revealed and Ty begins to realize that this pull and their marriage means, possibly there is something real and good here. Ty asks Hannah to move in with him on the ranch and try to make this a go. Hoping and believing at some point he might remember.

Boy this was an emotional story. From Ty's point of view and Hannah's, each endures a lot of heartache. But as they work at getting reacquainted and working on their relationship, each knows they have something special. But Ty continues to struggle with is Daddy issues and the fear of him becoming his old man. He's frustrated with his inability to remember as well. Hannah realizes she never stoped loving Ty and just want so much for him to remember the love they shared. But she also knows she's keep a big secret from him about the baby. She believes he's not ready and also afraid of what he will do and what will happen to them when he does find out. I loved the dynamics of all the secondary characters in this story and what they contributed to Ty and Hannahs relationship. It was nice to see Abby and Gary again as well. But of course this escalate to dramatic proportions when Hannah's Mom shows up weeks later at the ranch with Jack. And that's when the true test of their relationship takes place. They each have to face trust issues and past demons before they can move on as a family and a couple. But each resolves there issues and I really love the ending, so satisfying and emotional.

Enjoyable read. I did find a lot of dialogue in the first couple chapters and had to push through. I do find this author has a tendency to do that so was somewhat prepared. But once I passed that point everything flowed fairly well and had good pacing. So just press through and you'll be glad you did. I'm now really looking forward Brady and Amandas story. I really hope Amanda is for Brady because she really peaked my interest.

History has a way of repeating, or so they say. It did for Hannah Monroe as she followed in the footsteps of her mother Luanne. Having been warned by her mother never to trust men, with her own husband going AWOL, it didn't deter Hannah to follow down the same path.

Ty Everett was in the rodeo riding bulls and Hannah a Rodeo Queen...gladly giving up her crown in exchange for marrying him. Not having seen him for 2 years, she leaves her home in Georgia going to Colorado to confront Ty wanting to divorce him. The only problem, after a bad accident, leaving him with amnesia. Two years of memories gone, she is a complete stranger, he doesn't remember her and the struggle begins with both protagonists having what I would call a "tug of war." How will they resolve their issues, will she tell him he has a son? The story unfolds.

Hannah's tenseness at seeing Ty after all this time was emotional...not believing for one minute that he couldn't remember her. Her frustration with him for not being able to answer any of her questions, palpable. Was he putting on an act? Yet for Ty there was something of an undercurrent that drew him to her. Would he ignore it, did he want to?

The story was well written, emotional and at times tense. It made for good reading and quite enjoyable. Whoa cowboy....this little western tale drew me in. This is my first book by this author not having read the first one in the series. I will, however, look for the next book in the series.

My thanks to NetGalley and St.Martin's Press for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The story of Ty and Hannah. She is his wife but he doesn't remember her, or anything else, following an accident 18 months ago. She tracked him down to get a divorce, but once she realises about his memory loss, she wants to give him a chance, but she is still keeping a big secret so what will happen when he finds out?
