This was an enjoyable, emotional tale. That although slow to draw me in did eventually and it kept me engaged throughout. But I must admit to finding myself frustrated at times not so much with Ty but Hannah, whose not only slow to tell him she's his wife, but also about their son.
Yet, the characters and the way this story developed did hook me. Not to mention the issues Ty faced with his amnesia and his home life. As well as those Hannah dealt with being that she's found herself in a similar situation to her mama. Whose constant line that all men are lists and she should've known better than to get herself hitched and pregnant in the first place certainly kept me reading.
And there's no denying I enjoyed it more than the first book in this series and I would certainly look out for book three.
I would also recommend
Cracking sequel .
Ty was a rodeo cowboy and whilst on tour he married the rodeo queen. Ty as we know from the previous book was in a very bad accident and suffers from memory loss and Hannah turns up asking for a divorce, Ty however has no idea who she is. Hannah is also hiding a huge secret from Ty and they have to figure everything out whilst Ty fights to get his memory back.
A really nice read, one of my guilty pleasures are modern cowboy romances and i have loved all the books in this series so far.
I read the first book in this series and I had a hard time getting through it. That was so not the case with this one. I was really wrapped up in the drama and amnesia of it all. I don't know why, but the whole amnesia stoyline was just so fascinating to me. Sure, some of the time I wanted Hannah to just blurt stuff out and Ty to not be so stubborn. But overall, I enjoyed it and really liked how everything turned out.
I really enjoyed this book. It was good to get back to Cold Water Creek & see how Gray, Abby, & Becca are doing & get Ty’s story. Boy what a story he had. He has amnesia, having forgotten the 2 years before his accident, & he doesn't want anyone to know. Hannah is a former rodeo queens that married Ty in secret & comes to confront Ty about not owning up to the a bay they have. She finds out he doesn’t remember anything so she decides to try to make their marriage work but doesn’t tell him about Jack, their son. As you can imagine, this leads to some issues & it’s worth reading the book to find out how they’re resolved. I can’t wait for Brady’s story. Highly recommend this book series!
Hannah is the only one who can remember the love she and Ty had and the reasons they got married. After his fall, he doesn't remember her, their past relationship, or anything except for the reasons he swore he'd never get married and have a family. I really enjoyed this book, watching Hannah trying not to give up too much but hoping that Ty would remember. Kept me wondering if and how they would find their way back to each other.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I had a big problem with the plot of this one. Hannah and Ty are married but because of a bull accident (yes, bull) he has no memory of the last 2 years. Including him and Hannah getting married or the big secret she is keeping from him. In fact, it was a secret until 76 percent of the book.
Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is the second book in Caitlin Crews Cold River Ranch series. Second son Ty had returned for his father’s funeral a broken man. Ty was on the tail end of rehab and recovery from a serious bull riding accident in which he got the much worse end of the battle with a 2000 pound angry bull. In fact, not only did Ty suffer physical injuries, but he also has lost at least two years of memories.
Hannah Leigh Munroe also lost her place in the rodeo world on that fateful day. She had been Miss Rodeo Forever two years running. But dating someone in the rodeo was a no-no. Marrying them was even worse. And expecting that cowboy’s child was completely unacceptable!
When an injured Ty tells Hannah to just leave and to leave him alone, she tucks tail and retreats to Sweet Myrtle, Georgia, and lives as though history always repeats itself, only this time Hannah is a married woman when little Jack is born, unlike her mother had been.
When Hannah learns of Ty’s plans to seek his redemption by riding that bull one more time, she decides that she must dissolve the marriage and move on. She has not heard from him since the accident and has decided he meant what he said. When she discovers that Ty has no memory of her, the task becomes ever so much more difficult.
This is a uniquely told story with rich and original characters and unexpected twists. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it and this series.
Grab the tissues - it's a long road to the HEA!
Ty and Hannah's romantic beginnings are told in flashback, as the story starts after they've been apart for a year and a half. He lost a huge chunk of his memory in the bull-riding accident, but he hasn't told anyone. Hannah shows up at Ty's family ranch in Colorado, hoping to at least get answers, not quite daring to hope for more.
These two have a lot of emotional baggage to work through before they can fully participate in a relationship, much less a marriage. Most of the story deals with each of them having to come to terms with their relationships with their own parents and how that affects their ability to move forward. The story is sometimes gut-wrenching in its honesty, yet it is built on a foundation of hope and family values. I couldn't put it down, finishing it in the wee morning hours.
Since this story takes place almost entirely on the Everett family ranch, we also see quite a bit of interaction with Gray and Abby from the first book, and much more of Brady, which only makes me want to read his book as soon as possible. These three brothers have a lot to overcome, and these stories of their healing and rebuilding are absolutely riveting. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Hannah and Ty...Ty has suffered memory loss due to a rodeo accident and doesn't remember being married to Hannah. Hannah returns to Ty, after he rejected her in the hospital after his accident. She needs to find out if he meant it when he told her to go. In the meantime, she has had his baby and Ty doesn't know. Ty's father was such a horrible example of a father and Ty never wanted to be one himself. Good story, part two of a series. Looking for to Brady's story.
When you take two very imperfect people you get this book. I really at first was not a fan of Hannah, she boarded on annoying and very very irresponsible. However as the story went on and things started to make more sense my view of her changed. I like Ty but I felt like sometimes I wanted to read through the pages and choke him and shake him a little. I really liked being able to catch up with Grey and Abby from book one and see how things were going in there lives. Overall I thought this story was cute and very fun to read. There is a sex scene if that's not your thing this book might not be for you or you could skip that part. I can't wait to see where the author takes Brady and follow up with this sweet but crazy family.
Thank you to the publishers for sending me a copy of this sweet country romance! I did enjoy it but it was very slow to get into and adjust to the writing style. It shifts very frequently from the heroes head back to the heroine in the middle of dialogue which made it hard for me to get invested. They would be in the middle of a conversation then it would be pages and pages until we got an answer and by the time we got the answer I had forgotten what the conversation was about and fell out of the book. That being said, I did like Hannah and Ty’s story towards a happily ever after and I really liked Brady so I’m interested to see what’s going to happen. I also loved the setting and loved learning about the rodeo and finding out more about what happened between Hannah and Ty, but overall this was just okay read for me because of the writing style. It was still sweet though, especially if love you cowboys and that small town country feel!
Wow......the amount of drama in this book belongs on a daytime soap opera.
Ty and Hannah are married. It's too bad that Ty can't remember that, nor anything else in the past two years. A bull riding accident caused the memory loss and Ty hasn't told anyone about it, including the brothers he's currently living with on the family ranch. Ty and his brothers grew up with a father that was abusive and a drunk. Each brother has vowed not to follow in their fathers footsteps. For Ty, that includes never becoming a father. What does he know about being a decent one?
Hannah has driven from Georgia to Colorado to ask Ty for a divorce, leaving her son with her mother and aunt. She wants to protect both herself and her son from a man who has no desire to be a father. After arriving and realizing Ty has no idea who she is, she tells him a portion of the truth. Ty asks her to stay and she agrees.
This is where the book lost me and this was pretty early in the novel. I finished it, but as a mother, I can't imagine leaving my baby with my mother to drive cross country to ask for a divorce. I hope Brady and Amanda's book has a little less drama.

Contemporary Romance
Cold River, Colorado – Present Day
Rodeo cowboy Ty Everett was in a terrible bull riding accident eighteen months ago that led him to return to his family’s ranch. He’d left Cold River Ranch at age eighteen after getting fed up with his father’s verbally abusive behavior, but the old man is now dead, and the ranch is being run by Ty’s brothers, Gray and Brady. Yet the aftereffects of the accident linger on, including one little fact that Ty hasn’t revealed to his family: he can’t remember the two years preceding his accident. Then one day, a beautiful blonde shows up in town looking for him. She seems to know a lot about him even though he can’t remember her. Ty figures she might be a buckle bunny, but then she reveals the truth: she is his wife.
Hannah Monroe Everett has come looking for Ty. They fought bitterly eighteen months ago, just before he got onto the bull and ended up injured. She knows why he turned his back on her, yet she doesn’t realize he has no memory of her—until he flat out informs her that he doesn’t remember her. How can he have forgotten their sweet courtship and Las Vegas wedding? How did he forget her? But more importantly, how is Hannah going to tell him that they have a son, Jack?
Ty is the middle Everett child and the one who received the most vitriol hate from their father, Amos, a bitter man who drove away the mother of his children and treated his children badly. To get away from his father, Ty left the ranch and joined the rodeo circuit where he forged a decent career. It is inevitable that he ran into Hannah, as she was a rodeo queen who toured with them. The moment they met, Ty started pursuing Hannah, but she resisted because they weren’t supposed to be dating due to the rules of her reign, let alone thinking of marriage. But somewhere along the way, he persuaded her to marry him—secretly—so they could enjoy the fruits of marriage. They hadn’t discussed children, so when Hannah informed Ty that fateful night of her pregnancy, she was shocked to learn he didn’t want children. While she didn’t know it then, Ty has this fear of ending up a mean bastard like his father.
After Hannah confronts Ty about their marriage, she doesn’t tell him about Jack. Why? Because she isn’t sure whether their marriage is worth saving and she isn’t sure how he will react learning he has a son. Ty’s initial response about her being his wife has him in shock, then he asks her to move into his cabin on the ranch and introduces her to his family. Things are platonic—at first—but we know that won’t last long as the sexual chemistry between them is intense. Readers will wait with bated breath wondering when Hannah will tell Ty about Jack…and how he’ll react. Meanwhile, as they grow closer, love is being rekindled between them.
COLD HEART, WARM COWBOY does take a while before Hannah spills her secret to Ty, so maybe his response isn’t surprising. The second book in the Cold River Ranch series by Caitlin Crews, it can be read as a standalone without too much difficulty, though Gray and Abby (from A TRUE COWBOY CHRISTMAS) do pop in and out of scenes. Readers will love COLD HEART, WARM COWBOY as a contemporary cowboy tale about a sweet woman mending the soul and heart of the man she loves. It’s a romantic, fun, and emotional tale, and one that I highly recommend.

Ty and Hannah’s story was one of second chances. Ty had to learn how to forgive himself and forget that he wasn’t his father. Hannah was a little more obsessed with her rodeo princess persona than I liked. Once she let that go a little, she was able to reach Ty better. I’ll be looking forward to the next one.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
Wow, what emotions are going on with Hannah who feels rejected by her husband, Ty, when she is pregnant with their child but finally goes to resolve things with him and finds out that he doesn't even remember her or the time they spent together!
Ty is dealing with his own demons from his past and just does not see a way that he won't end up like his abusive father, and Hannah has not fought for their marriage and kept giving up before. It is really going to take an effort for they to break away from their past actions and try to work things out.
It was great then the brothers finally talked things out (sort of!) as they were also dealing with past problems which were part of their living with their father and his hate.
Nice that they finally got their act together so that they could have their HEA.
If you love rodeo riding stubborn cowboy, heroines who don't give up even when the odds are against her, an adorable little boy and a love that won't die then you have to read COLD HEART, WARM COWBOY!

This is second book in Cold River Ranch Series. I loved it.
Ty was bull rider till he was tramped by bull, he lost memory, two years of memories, but he doesn't tell anyone about it. One day he has visitor at his ranch, Hannah, she seems to know a lot about Ty, but he can't remember her. When he finds out that they are married, he is in shock.
What will happen to their marriage when he learns the whole truth.
Will he gets his memory back?
I recommend this book.
Are we the product of our parents; both good and bad? I am not talking genetically; rather, emotionally or how our character is formed. This story takes two people that were raised by single parents. One had a mother’s love and protection; the other a surly, abusive father. Call it fate, destiny, kismet, or something along those lines when they meet at a rodeo. One is a star bull rider and the other a rodeo queen; everything is against these two even sharing the same space. Meet Hannah and Ty in this roller-coaster of a story about love found, love lost, a terrible accident, amnesia, family dynamics, and yes, fate.
I enjoyed Hannah and Ty’s story. It is a well written and very well thought out story , with great characters and character development. I loved the dialogue in the book. There are some issues that run deep into the psyche of the characters and I found the thought process and dialogue quite interesting in trying to come to terms with some of these issues. This is definitely not some fluff “romcom” story. This is a story about family in many of its multiple forms and complications. There are some interesting dynamics between the characters too. Don’t get me wrong, this story has its “happily ever after” ending; but, it takes the reader on quite the bumpy ride to end up there.
This was enjoyable, if a bit slow and tame in the passion category. I thought the same thing about book 1, but it didn’t stop me from reading this one because the characters and concept are strong. It did take work to read, but I enjoyed the characters, the emotional turmoil that Hannah had to deal with, and watching Ty learn to accept his past, move past his fears, and accept Hannah and all that she brought to him. The plot was great. The characters were good. The passion was tame, but present. And the pace of the story was a bit slow. Overall, a good read and I do look forward to Brady’s story.
Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews 3.5 stars
This is Book#2 about the Everett Brothers. The first book was A True Cowboy Christmas (older brother Gray), which I didn't read. This book is about the middle brother Ty. A bull rider competing in rodeos, Ty was a champion. Unfortunately, he had a bad bull riding accident and suffered serious injuries to his back and head. What he knows and nobody else is that he has significant memory loss. Eighteen months after the accident Hannah meets him in town and he can't remember who she is. He finds out that she is his wife; but Hannah also has a secret of her own.
I didn't start liking Ty until about 3/4 into the book, I started liking Hannah about halfway into the plot. Ty just seem to have too many daddy issues that follow him around. Hannah had some mom issues to deal with too. There was also a lot of dialogue between all three brothers about the operation of the ranch. The last quarter of the book redeemed the whole reading experience.
