His employee Haley has developed a daing app, so he decides to trial that and find a wife. Can they carry on ignoring the chemistry between them?

3 1/2 star review.....

Matchmaking the Billionaire is the second book in this series and I liked the characters, the storyline and the overall concept. A good second instalment and more enjoyable than book one. This hasn’t been my favourite series by this author, but I was entertained and I’m looking forward to the final book to wrap up the series.

This book is the definition of guilty pleasure-- except the emphasis is 90% guilty, 10% pleasure. This book convinced me I was losing brain cells every second I was reading it, but some force compelled me to finish it, even if I skipped a few paragraphs (or pages).

Nick is a well-hung tech billionaire. Haley is a hot, single mom and a developer who got pregnant thanks to a billionaire who didn't use protection. Anyway, she has sworn off billionaires! She's building a matchmaking app and he wants her to use this to find him a wife, because he has a bet with his friend about getting married within a year. Yes, really.

Over the course of the book they indulge in their lust, break up, make up, the usual.

I'm okay with kids in books as long as the kid is sort of interesting. Haley's daughter Amanda is annoying-- she reminds me of toddler Michelle from Full House. So sweet my teeth could fall out.

The leads are annoying too. Haley's got that hot-cold thing going with this guy. He's CEO, she's an employee- this is a lawsuit waiting to happen. She can't keep her paws off him, even as she tells him to back off. Her reasons make sense and I get that we often have a mind-heart gap on relationships (aka your mind tells you to back off, and your heart/loins tell you to keep going). Still, I didn't see enough of the steel the book implies she has. She just seemed giggly, petulant or whiny, depending on the scene.

Nick's a cardboard cutout of what many romance authors think women want: rich, hot guy who likes animals and small children. Nothing wrong with any of those things-- just that the execution matters. But there's no there, there. We don't know why he is how he is. What drives him beyond "winning"? He's competitive, has nice cars and an animal sanctuary. What's his past history? Why does he like this woman that much? As I said, cardboard cutout.

This book COULD have worked if their chemistry was more compelling (beyond he thinks she's hot, she thinks he's hot). They claim to get along well and be good friends, but that's nowhere in evidence in the book beyond a handful of awkward jokes, and a couple of nice things he does for her.

One good thing about this book? Haley isn't insecure about her appearance. She's hot and she knows it. I have to respect a woman with that sort of physical confidence, even if she's annoying in every other respect.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I truly liked this book. This is part of a series #2 but reads well as a.stand alone. I liked the chemistry between Nick and Haley. Haley is a single mom but it didn't phase Nick. Cute, quick read. 4 stars. Enjoyable and I think most Romance readers would enjoy.

Leslie North has the ability to write sweet, steamy romance stories that has characters readers are able to connect with and enjoy.

The author has the abilities to blend romance, life events, passions and very predictable.

This is a cute fun romance for readers who are on the run.

This is the second book I’ve read in this series and I loved them both! The main character appears in the first book and gets even more interesting this time around! I would definitely recommend it. The main character is a good guy in the end that every girl would have a soft spot for. I love that the authors created a ‘normal’ personality and make him an every day kind of guy.

This book was a quick and decent read.

Haley and Nick have that classic will they or won't they love story. Haley is a single mom who works for Nick is incredibly smart and quick-witted. She designs an app to help people find their happy ever afters. Nick makes a bet with his friend that he'll get married before him and that's when he turns to Haley for help although their chemistry is palpable on the page. Their banter is quite hilarious and it's easy to get swept up and smile at their quick cute conversations with each other.

I liked Haley's personality and ability to dish out digs as well as she can take them. Nick also is loveable in a way because even though he's cocky he has a soft side as we see with his dog rescue.

There were a few issues with sentence structure and repetition of words and over explanation in parts. Nick's dog rescue, while provides a loveable-ness about Nick, was random and out of the blue.

Though it was pretty predictable, it was still worth the read if you are a fan of the romance genre.

Matchmaking the Billionaire is a short and endearing book featuring a very loveable billionaire boss, Nick. When Nick makes a bet with a friend that he will get married first, he enlists Haley’s help to find matches on the dating app she’s developing. The two have been attracted to each other for a while, but they each have their own reasons for not pursuing anything. But as they spend more time together, it becomes clear that their chemistry and comfortable conversation are not easy to find on an app.

For such a short book, Matchmaking the Billionaire really develops the relationship between the two (much more successfully than the first book in the series). I found Nick to be a great character; he knew all along that he really liked Haley, and even with obstacles in their path, he continued to pursue her. Haley was a little too unsure for my taste, but I could see where she was coming from. This leads events prior to the ending of the book that left a sour taste in my mouth, but I am glad that the couple got their happy ending. Overall, the book is great and I’m happy NetGalley provided me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I look forward to the next book in the series!

Nick needs to be the next one to marry in order to win a bet. Haley knew all about it, because she set the bet upon amount. Haley needs her matchmaker app to succeed, so she has to find a wife for Nick using the app. Of course we all know that's not how it all ends. I liked, Matchmaking the Billionaire.

In some ways a cliché story perhaps but so well written in an endearing and realistic way. A crazy chemistry between the two main characters with perhaps stereotypical but no less absorbing conflicts. Single mom, with a kid trying to make a career who falls in love with her boss.

Few things about the story line didn’t appeal to me at the beginning and actually almost made me put the book down, such as guys making bets on who will shack up next with any “hot” female they find. However, as the story unfolded you really got to see the depth of character of both characters and they no longer seemed as trivial and stereotypical. The arrogant rich boy superficial persona was mostly a front and while the main character is gorgeous their interest and chemistry was perfect. Lot of sweet and tender moments and lot of frustration when you are rooting for them to get together but they are both being stubborn.

A nice and light read that is easy to get wrapped up in.
