This book makes you think of ways you can improve your way of life. It gives suggestions on activities, food and moments of mindfulness that help you be more aware of yourself. If you practice a ritual often enough it becomes a habit, some good some bad. This book concentrates on the good. Even if you don’t follow all of them the small changes should make you feel more grounded.

This book provides a great breakdown on how to live a healthier and happier life. Physically and mentally.

While a lot of the 21 Foundation rituals I had already been doing in my daily life, incorporating a few more has made the difference.

The book is broken down into 5 sections which you can either focus on what your needs are or chronologically as you see fit.

While some rituals were not my cup of tea, overall there is a lot to be learned from the simple break down of trying small bite size tasks and seeing if/how the my fit into your life.

Encouraging journaling and reflection was something I didn’t realize how much I needed in my life.

Overall a great tool to refocus on yourself inwardly.

I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this book, full of practical tips that have enriched my life. Best of all they only take a few minutes, and by adding one per day, I could see what worked for me and what didn't.

I read a page a day , but even if it's a book you pick up and just implement a ritual at random, it will definitely add a little bit of zest to your life.

Very easy to read too.

Cheung succeeded in creating a helpful guide to ensure you build a lasting habit of taking care of yourself. I love how there is a sense of accountability, by offering something for each day! However, if you’ve been on the path of self love for a while some of these ideas might not be that groundbreaking. Enjoyable nonetheless!

i tried to give this book some time to do it's intended purpose which is to create new habits but I would leave without a positive feeling. I felt the author was a bit judgy on some things. Just wasn't for me

I struggled with completing this book. I feel that someone who juggles a full time job, motherhood, and a family is incapable of completing in the timeframe provided. While the premise was intriguing, this came up short on delivering on realistic expectations. Maybe I lack the motivation, but I feel that many women who have the asme life circumstances as I would feel the same upon picking up this book.

As a baby witch, this was a really helpful resource for planning out the year and starting with rituals. I'm always on the hunt for more witchy resources and this was one I enjoyed reading and am happy to be able to have a new book to add to my library.

Didn’t Quite Do It For Me

I tend to like books that have a yearly theme, like 365 meditations or 365 motivational quotes, so the idea of having such a book with small daily rituals intrigued me. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this book. There are 21 foundational rituals that the author States should be gone through and incorporated into your daily life before moving on to the other rituals. These other ones don’t have to be done daily; you could do each once to learn or when the situation calls for it or incorporate it with your other daily rituals. Some foundational rituals are things you hear all over the internet, like drinking water, taking deep breaths, or writing down three things that you are grateful for. I was surprised that some rituals had a strong spiritual bent to them, like a chanting OM. I just can't imagine doing that every day, and probably some of my fellow Americans feel that way, too. Some of the initial morning rituals were very specific that they are supposed to be done early in the morning. As I am a night shift worker, these would be impossible. Yes, theoretically I could change things to when I wake up in the afternoon, but in at least one of them, the author was very specific that it had to be a.m. morning time.

This book provides the reader with 365 rituals which would make it a great Christmas or birthday present. It took me a couple of attempts to get through and I ended up just skimming my way through rather than attempting the ritual practice as I didn't find this worked for me. My impression of the author's intention of the book is to aid the reader however they can rather than insist that every ritual should be undertaken to reach the end goal. Personally I found some sections more beneficial than others but there were also rituals that I flat out didn't agree with. I can appreciate the effort, love and care that went into this book but I felt the footnotes to websites such as the Daily Mail actually made me question the reliability of the author's point rather than supported it.

A wonderful book that promotes more self-care and stepping away from it all by offering rituals to incorporate into your daily life. Inspiring to read!

I LOVED this book! I loved that there were so many great ideas to incorporate into my life. Some were so simple to add, others made me think a bit more, some were not for me at all. Overall I feel like there were so many rituals that added value to my day.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley.

This isn't the typical self-help book that features the same spouts of nonsense worded in a different way.
i actually found this quite helpful, and i'm pretty much "anti-self help" at this point.

An enjoyable and motivating self improvement book. I took away much from it to help me live a richer life. It needs revisiting often in order to benefit, or perhaps take notes from it as reminders. With thanks to Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to review.

A lovely book of daily exercises for better living. Perhaps not appropriate for library as people will probably want to keep for the whole year. I intend to purchase for myself.

The Ritual Yearbook is an amazing find. I loved it and will be buying the hardcopy once it is released!!

The book consists of rituals to do every day of the year. The first 21 are foundation rituals to be done every day. They dont take much time and I have started implementing them already. The next rituals focus on Body, Mind, Success, Spirit and Heart. You dont have to do them in order so you can mix and match them.

I found that starting this I was more mindful and in the present moment rather that rushing though the day without thinking. I have read though the rituals for later in the year and loved them all. All very easy to do so wont take up hours of your day. I loved the fact that there are links to websites where the Author has researched why we shoud do these rituals and the health and wellbeing benefits of them.

A fantastic book and one which I will be using for a long time to come.

Thanks to Netgalley, Watkins Publishing and Theresa Cheung for the ARC (My review is my own opinion)

This book shines on every level: sentence after sentence is beautiful and precise. The characters are complicated and sympathetic, the ideas are sweeping and profound, but are never too overt. It’s a rare novel that is as accomplished in its meaning as it is in its storytelling while also succeeding wildly on the language level as well! A novel to lose yourself in and then reflect upon again and again.

This book shares 365 rituals that you can choose to do daily, for a small or long period of time, or whenever you think it may help. Along with those, 21 of them are foundation rituals designed to help you get into a healthier a simple routine. Some, such as making your bed, you may already do! However, I have notice that each one is targeted to help you feel better throughout the day.

Once you get through the foundation rituals, the book divides up into sections such as body rituals, mind rituals, success rituals, and more. I will admit, many of these are little suggestions that we have probably heard dozens of times. But, Theresa Cheung is reminding us again simply because they are great rituals to do or try.

One of my favorite things about The Ritual Yearbook is that you do not have to wait for a certain day to start. You can begin at any time! Plus, as someone who has a tendency to be rather anxious, many of these rituals would do my mind wonders.

I definitely recommend checking this book out! There are a lot of really great tips

The Ritual Yearbook has a interesting premise, but the author's opinions are just that opinions, nothing medically proven or from a doctor.

ARC provided by Netgalley and publisher in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed below are purely my own!

This book is truly a gem that has the power to be life-changing. This is a road map to self-care, disconnecting from the web and social media, and establishing powerful habits that positively impact your life. I have tried a couple of the "rituals" described in this book and have already started feeling the benefits of tidiness, meditation, and disconnecting. A perfect book to start 2020 with and to keep close to your self-care regimen. I will definitely be suggesting this book to be added to my library's collection.
