Description

365 simple daily practices to bring focus and attention to your life, helping you create a greater sense of happiness, meaning and fulfilment.

A ritual is any action we take that has meaning beyond its appearance; by giving an action intention it becomes sacred and purposeful. For actions to create lasting change they need to be filled to the brim with meaning. They need to be ritualized. This book will help you become aware of the meaning and significance of specific actions, so you can transform them into empowering rituals.

Every ritual featured has been created to be repeatable. The 21 Foundation Rituals should be practised every day for the first 21 days, and from there you can choose from practices that focus on the Body, Mind, Success, Spirit and Heart. Choose one and repeat it for a period of time before moving on to another, or work through the book, ritual by ritual.

You don’t need to start at the beginning of the calendar year. You can start today — right now — and seize the power of the present moment.

Theresa Cheung has written numerous bestselling mind-body-spirit books, including two Sunday Times Top Ten bestsellers. She also writes features on personal growth and spiritual development for magazines and national newspapers. To find out more visit: www.theresacheung.com

I’ve already started implementing some of the rituals in this book and feel so much better. The morning rituals are the ones I’ve stuck to the most, like making the bed every morning and writing 3 things that I am grateful for. This is a guide of rituals that will help you feel better each day.

ARC provided by Netgalley and publisher in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed below are purely my own!

This book is truly a gem that has the power to be life-changing. This is a road map to self-care, disconnecting from the web and social media, and establishing powerful habits that positively impact your life. I have tried a couple of the "rituals" described in this book and have already started feeling the benefits of tidiness, meditation, and disconnecting. A perfect book to start 2020 with and to keep close to your self-care regimen. I will definitely be suggesting this book to be added to my library's collection.

This book was about forming rituals that can impact your day with very little effort or time on the part of things needed completed them. The book is broken down into seven categories that goes 365 rituals that can completed each day of the year. Their are foundation rituals and closing rituals which play a key role in starting and ending. The book does have a table of contents that clearly lays out what can be found in each of key seven categories.

The ideas are clear and well explained. The flow is logical and organized and the sentence structure and word choice help to enhancing the reader’s enjoyment and ease of understanding. Yes, I would recommend this book. This would be good for anyone looking for science based rituals, explanations, and simple techniques. This book would not be good for those who are dislike science being used in self-help or a looking for more complex rituals.
