Good book, good premises, but it just didn't do it for me. The Foundation rituals were simple things you should already be doing or that I am already doing so i did not find it helpful. Sorry, but thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

The book is divided into 365 rituals that are set up to make you aware of the significance of the actions to transform them into empowering rituals over time and improve your life. A great book to start the New Year with. It's a little like having a New Years resolution but it allows you to carry it out over the whole year rather than just a short period of time.

The book contains a number of rituals which include:

~ Foundation
~ Body
~ Get Moving
~ Healthy Eating
~ Stress Reduction
~ Mind
~ Success
~ Spirit
~ Heart

There are 21 foundation rituals that should be done every day before moving onto the rest of the book. Some of the rituals seem obvious such as make your bed, or are odd such as oil your teeth.

I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review.

An excellent book that should be on everyone’s self-care shelf. And not just on the shelf, but in their hands in order to use the suggestions given for a healthier, happier life.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A nice book for dipping into, Some are just common sense and the book works best if you pick out the ones that resonate with you and brush over the rest. It did feel as though some of them are scraping the barrel a bit though. There is nothing new in the book, but it would be nice as a gift book or just as a bit of a spirit lifter when you need a boost.

An easy to read list of 365 rituals to practise to lead to a happier and healthier lifestyle. The idea is that you implement one new ritual every day of the year and so build up gradually to fulfil your goals.
The rituals suggested are just basic common sense. There is nothing new in this book. Towards the end of the book, I felt that the writer was struggling to reach 365 ideas.
There is an attempt to appear original by turning each step into a "ritual" but putting the word "ritualise" into every paragraph does not make the idea of, say, drinking more water, or learning a new language, anymore original.

I wasn't entirely sure I was going to get into this book, but the rituals I've done have been really nice! I used to hate ritual when I was younger, but I like the predictability and calm they bring as an adult. I think our patrons might really like this book, so I will definitely be ordering it for our library. Thank you so much!

I love this collection of rituals. One for everyday of the year. I enjoyed the secotion on ritualsfor your mind body and spirit especially. These rituals are short and simple some are as simple as making your bed, literally. This is a wonderful little book that will greatly enhance your life.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy free of charge. This is my honest and unbiased opinion of it.

I’ve already started implementing some of the rituals in this book and feel so much better. The morning rituals are the ones I’ve stuck to the most, like making the bed every morning and writing 3 things that I am grateful for. This is a guide of rituals that will help you feel better each day.

The Ritual Yearbook promises to provide 365 simple rituals, and that's exactly what it does. There's also a lot of commentary from the author, along with details from research studies.

The first ritual is very simple: Make your bed daily. The second ritual made me side-eye the author, though. She states the erroneous (but often made) claim that successful, productive people are all early risers. That's not actually true. At all. In fact, many famous CEOs, novelists, performers, and even world leaders have been well-known to get up late. A few examples of highly successful people who wake up/woke up at 10 a.m. or later include James Joyce, Gertrude Stein, J.R.R. Tolkien, Trevor Noah, Box CEO Aaron Levie, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, Jackson Pollock, etc. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. So, if you're a night owl, don't despair -- you can still be successful. You may also want to alter or skip this ritual altogether.

That quibble aside, this book is easy to work with and does have some really good ideas for ritualized behaviors that can improve your life. The reality is that having a routine (that includes positive rituals) is an important factor for physical, mental, and emotional health. If you're not sure where to begin, you can get some good ideas by picking up The Ritual Yearbook.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a providing an ARC. This review contains my honest, unbiased opinion.

I would have never anticipated that the act of simply making my bed everyday or even being told I had to was a bit uncomfortable at first. I felt like it was a book full of “Duh!” info. However, it was nice to realize I was likely uncomfortable bc I was facing how disconnected or inconsistent I’d been with these small tasks that really do have an impact on your day. I really needed this book right now!

When I was a kid I hated rituals. I found them tedious, mundane, boring, LOATHSOME.

As I grew up however I began to soften towards them. Sure, they could still be dull especially as you went to school and went through the same routine over and over and over again. But I also learned to appreciate them. They kept me grounded for one and as somebody with anxiety, familiarity is crucial to my well being.

This is a great book and its rituals are not of the tedious, mundane, boring, LOATHSOME variety. Instead it focuses on calming you down and living your life freely and easily. As we go on with our day to day lives we encounter a lot and sometimes we need to just center ourselves. Become one with the OM. Although some of these techniques I don't think I'll ever fully get but that's not due to lack of trying! For example: #13 is Be Mess Free.

Listen, I have tried again and again to banish my messiness but it's just ingrained in me lmao. But, maybe this will help keep the clutter at bay because it does overwhelm me often as the book notes.

It was nice and funny going through this book and realizing how much of my day is stuck in a ritualistic manner and that's not a bad thing at all! This is a great book for expanding your mind and hopefully finding some ways to live in this past faced ever evolving world.

My favorite has to be the second chapter which focuses on Body, Mind, Spirit, and Heart. This is a great guide if you feel a little bit lost whether it comes to one or all four of those. Most importantly, it's a great guide altogether and one that needs to be a necessity on your bookshelf :)

Thanks very much to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC in exchance for an honest and fair review.

I love the premise of this book. It did not translate overly well to my e-reader in ARC form, so I ordered it! I loved the ideas it sparked and the rituals (no pun intended) it set about making every day better. In our busy lives, there is so much we take for granted and it's amazing how just making your bed can set the tone for the day. I can't wait to receive my copy!
