I admit, I was skeptical about a mindfulness book for teens. Would today's hyper-connected teenagers take time to read something like this? But author Jennie Marie Battistin nailed it! The secret is in both the brevity and the variety of the activities. Each suggestion gives an estimated time both to read it and practice it, and it's always within that 10 minute range. The exercises, split into 4 categories, including "focus" and "calm", are accessible and can be done anywhere. And it's not just for teens. Anyone looking to add a quick dose of mindfulness to their day will find this book a win.

Although full of some really helpful information, this didn’t really have the appeal it should have. I still left it with my kids and hopefully they’ll look at it, but as of now they’ve not been inclined to give it much interest.

My 14 year old daughter and I tried to read this together, but (being a teenager) she wasn’t interested in the exercises and wouldn’t take it seriously. I think this book contains good exercises if you will take them seriously, but I’m not sure the target audience of teens will be receptive.
