Photos of You is a heartbreaking story that reminded me to appreciate the little moments in life. Grab a box of tissues before you settle down to read this book. But do read it. It will make you cry but it will also remind you not to take life for granted, and to always “choose love.”

This book is about Ava, 28-year-old woman with terminal breast cancer. After experiencing all the emotions associated with her diagnosis, Ava decides to fulfill her biggest dream - to have a wedding. Ava’s wedding will serve as a celebration of life ceremony in place of a traditional funeral. When her best friend’s share the story on social media, the story goes viral which leads to a major magazine documenting Ava’s journey.

I don’t want to give away too much of this story, because unraveling Ava’s tale is so touching. I want all the readers after me to experience the full joy and sorrow of Ava’s story as they read it for themselves!

Tammy Robinson did a wonderful job creating characters that were real and relatable. The way she handled the story of terminal cancer was very respectful, and moving. I really loved the relationships that Ava had with her best friends and parents.

My review will also be posted on Goodreads and Instagram @rosetree_bookreviewer.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Tammy Robinson and Forever, Grand Central Publishing for the ARC of Photos of You in exchange for my honest review.

I have to say that I was expecting the whole world of emotions to come crashing down on me when I read this book based on the other reviews and posts I have seen from it. Unfortunately while I found it to be a very emotional topic I am not 100% sure how I feel about it or if I was completely sold on it. The story was beautifully written. The characters were well fleshed out to me I felt like I got to know them well as well as they kind of developed their relationship in a natural course despite the unnatural circumstances, I found both James and Ava to be very likable. The story was over all what I expected it to be. and I felt that for the most part it flowed very well and that there weren't any pacing issues that being said the last 20 pages or so was just a huge blur of one thing after another and it felt like the end of the story was rushed. In a lot of parts this gave me A Walk to Remember vibes which is another story that I happen to really like. Over all a solid story just didn't 100% care for the ending.

ALL. THE. STARS.

This book hit me right in the feels. I cried SEVEN times, SEVEN. I truly felt the emotion in this book and this was everything I was hoping it to be!

This book made me want to call up my friends and family at 12:30 in the morning, mid read, and tell them I love them as tears were pouring down my face. I’ve made several plans since then. Be more to those around you. Do more. Connect. Call your friends and family for a meal, drink or outing. Spend more time with your children, nieces and nephews. Travel if you can. Just live your best life.

This book.. with all it’s emotion, love, and sadness is now my favorite book I have ever read. I have been recommending it to everyone. I also recommend it to you. Please pick this up when you can, but have a box of tissues ready. You’ve been warned.

Oh my god.... my poor heart!!

Photos of You is absolutely phenomenal!! I don't think my review will do this book the justice it deserves but I definitely will try!

Tammy Robinson is a master storyteller that weaves the words so beautifully and effortlessly across the pages. The words behind this story leave you completely and utterly breathless. This book took a piece of my soul and left me cherishing what life really is about and how it's never to late for love.

There are too many quotes that I fell in love with but one that really stuck with me

"I find love that day. There, beside a waterfall so powerful it has changed the shape of the land, I receive the ultimate reminder of life."

Yes, is this story about a woman dying from cancer? Yes, it is and it's sad as shit... not going to lie. But, it's SO much more then what you would expect. I fell in love with Ava, James, and her family. Who wouldn't?

Let me leave you with this and I hope this leaves a mark on your heart like it did mine. Tammy, thank you for your powerful words in this book.

" Love is all gone too soon, the years go too fast. We fool ourselves into believing we are important, and we place too much emphasis on the wrong things."

5 phenomenal stars!

"Life is short. Don't play it safe. Live wild." This was my first book by Tammy Robinson and WOW my heart. Ava Green finds out her breast cancer has returned at age 28, and it is terminal. With the devastating news, Ava moves forward in her lifelong dream to get married, with or without a groom. Ava's story goes viral when her friends start a fundraising campaign to give her the wedding of her dreams, and Ava ends up with more than she could have imagined. This beautiful book pulls at your heartstrings, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tear-jerker. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the opportunity to read this advanced copy. I'm looking forward to more books from Tammy Robinson!

I am writing this review through foggy glasses because I can't stop the tears. Photos of You is a book I needed in my life!! It gave me so much perspective on life and appreciating this life that I was given. It a book that is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. I am so excited for everyone to read this book because I know the positive impact it will have on so many readers' lives.

Photos of You is about a 28-year-old woman named Ava who receives the heartbreaking news that her cancer has come back. Her doctor tells her that she has about a year left to live. She goes through all of the emotions but ultimately decides that she wants to have her control back. This disease is controlling her life and given her an expiration date, but she can control how she says goodbye.

Ava decides to say goodbye to those she loves most by having a wedding. Although she doesn't have a groom, she will be celebrating her life and cherishing her moments she got to spend with everyone.

When her friends post about her situation on social media, there is a huge response. So many people around the world want to help her in any way they can. She even gets the attention of a well-known magazine and they agree to make it a story.

The magazine will document the actual wedding and everything leading up to it. Ava also agrees to write a section every so often to give readers a look into her life and what she is feeling.

This whole process led Ava to the realization that she hasn't lived the life she wanted to. She uses this time to experience new things and truly appreciates all the little things in life.

I loved that Tammy Robinson fulfilled one of Ava's biggest wish/hope. Experiencing love. She wrote another amazing character when she created James. He is funny and kind. His heart is so big. James makes Ava feel special and like a woman; not just a woman who is dying.

I could go on and on about this book. I want to thank the author for writing such a special story. Photos of You was one of my most anticipated releases of 2020 and it exceeded all of my expectations. I loved how I could tell she did research about cancer and handled it with so much class and respect. I could also tell that her own experiences were in her writing. I felt every word, every precious moment, every breath, every blink!

I give Photos of You 5 stars. It's a must-read that will pull at your heartstrings. It leaves you feeling fearless and ready to tackle your life with newfound confidence and appreciation.

For some reason I just couldn’t get into this book. It’s hard to find something joyous out of knowing a girl may age has terminal cancer and throwing her a end of her life party.
